This place is a gem! The design and decoration is sooo beautiful. It's surrounded by nature but still you can easily walk anywhere. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals. I loved this place! Fully recommend it!

A wonderful place to unwind! The area was clean, relaxing, and peaceful, with beautiful wildlife all around( mostly the Macaws) The walkable beach was a highlight probably one of the nicest I seen in Costa Rica. Highly recommend for anyone looking to connect with nature and recharge.”

The place was wonderful and the sunset views were breathtaking. The apartment has everything you need, very comfortable bed and mostly everything you want from a kitchen. They could have changed the inside sofa to a more comfortable one but it worked anyway. There were some major construction going on just in front of the house and we unfortunately got to wake up most of the days with that noise, but since we surfed early mornings it didn’t bother us that much.. There are a lot of construction going on in the whole area so maybe many places have the same problem! The host was very very helpful and we really enjoyed our visit!

10 out of 10 would recommend. We will definitely be back to this location. The facility itself is gorgeous, had everything we needed. Within walking distance to tons of restaurants, very close to the beach, and lots of yoga studios.

This place is wonderful and Marco is a very good host. We loved the pool, the view and the quietness. We also appreciated the cleaning every day. We definetely recommand.

This home is such an amazing place to stay. Wonderful location, steps from the surf, amazing windows, so much natural light, amazing views from inside and the covered porch, comfortable furniture, beds. Truly one of the most memorable places. Cleaning staff and Karen are super attentive , responsive and nice. Thx you.

We felt so lucky to with Joe and his dog Macho in Mal Pais. We loved the unit, super comfortable for 5 adults. The kitchen facilties worked well including fresh tuna from the fisherman at the end of the driveway. Joe's pizza is rockstar at the communal bar area next to the pool. The property was lush including many birds & monkies. We drove to nearby Santa Theresa for surfing and groceries and walked to "Secret" Beach for swimming and snorkeling. A small store, brew pub and pizza place are also in walking distance

Amazing house and best location in Santa Teresa! The internet was suitable for working (video calls etc.). Jeffe is a super nice and responsive host, I’d highly recommend staying here :)

The place is located in Malpais, a quiet, spacious and safe parking area, with a clean pool, the comfortable rooms with everything you need, there is a super a few meters away to buy anything you need and a couple of restaurants nearby, of course surrounded by many beautiful beaches.

Tupac was the best host and made us feel super welcome. He went above and beyond for us to enjoy our stay. Very quick and responsive to our questions and requests. We have a lovely stay and can recommend.

Great spot, been coming to Santa Teresa since 2011, first time staying in malpais as opposed to Santa Teresa. Privacy and quietness preferred. Epic view and sunsets, just as good as ST. Absolutely need a ATV. Carmen and ST really aren’t a bad ride on the ATV either. Chanti hooked up the ATV & surf rack as well. Definitely for the adventurers.

We arrived on Xmass eve and the stove did not work. We were so happily surprised by caretaker Sebastian’s quick action and immediate show up of the friendliest repairman. Great great great. Thank you and we’d like to repeat our stay !

Excellent service, the place is beautiful and quiet

We had a really fab stay - the apartment was great and Patrick and Hilda were really helpful and responsive to any enquiries we had. Great spot near the beach and short drive into Samara. Was a lovely stay, thank you!

The location of condo (downtown) and size of Karen’s was awesome for our family of 5. Plenty of room and was very neat! And the kitchen was fully stocked and having the washer/dryer in the unit was so nice! Karen has books to read, movies, etc. Bring your own cards and board games (that is what we did). I didn’t see any board games in the condo. Karen was so good to work with and very responsive. She was an excellent host! Once we parked the car the 1st day, the entire town is walkable and we didn’t have to drive. There are 2 grocery stores next to condo, restaurants galore, shopping beach 1 block away. Samara was a fun town and location for a relaxing beach vacation. We rented beach chairs from Tico’s surf shop (do it the day prior to wanting chairs) and they were excellent to work with. If you don’t want to spend money on that, Karen has beach chairs in the condo. Overall, so FUN and would rent Karen’s again.

Amazing house with a terrace with insurmountable views, to disconnect 100% and relax completely, immersed in a jungle part with ocean views where you can hear and see animals throughout the day. Full recommended !

We stayed in the Condo for over a month and the place was a great location. The condo is well equipped for a young family and has everything you need. The host and manager are great at dealing with any issues and they actively try to solve any problems or request promptly. The A/C and fans was perfect for the climate and the family had no problems sleeping in the condo. The swimming pool is perfect for both younger and older children and they can be supervised comfortably from the Rancho. The laundry facilities work well and are big enough to accommodate a family wash when needed. A shop on the corner for most ingredients and cold drinks. The surrounding neighbours are so kind and engaging with us and the children and we often shared breakfast or drinks outside with them. The people here really do make the stay safe and more enjoyable. The wildlife in the immediate area is incredible from monkeys and iguanas to horses and coati’s all while having a coffee on the balcony. Thank you!

The pictures of this condo do not do it justice. The view of the ocean from the living areas is breathtaking. the pool is nice, clean and quiet! the trek to the beach is short, but there is a pretty steep hill involved. we had no issues getting in, the staff were pleasant and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay very much. With two young children, we enjoyed the backyard patio and all the fun nature around and animals. The beach that was walking distance was perfect for us. The location is great close enough to other towns to do days trips to. The condo’s design, beds, linens, kitchen tools were just enough to be able to enjoy a month long stay, cook yummy meals and be comfortable and enjoy our time at the condo. The safety and security was very good too. Also the pool at the condo was fun to be in too with the kids. There is a small shallow part good for little little ones and then a deeper part for the older kids to hang and play in. Also the pool area has a second story which was nice to use for a yoga practice in the morning. We had a great month stay here, thank you!
