Highly recommend booking!!! Although we had some mishaps due to the inclement weather / snow storm, the hosts were extremely understanding, proactive, friendly, & did everything in their power to help & make us feel comfortable. This is a GEM of a find on Airbnb, you’ll have the time of your life! Can’t wait to book with them again 🫶🏼😊

Amazing house! Home was very clean and beatiful. The house is located on the side of the mountain and has amazing views from the deck and hot tub area. We had a large group and never felt confined or like we were on top of each other during our stay. Large dining table with leaf add ons, extra chairs and a extra folding table allowed us to eat together as family. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with anything you will need for cooking at home, even with a large group. Thomas has provided plenty of entertainment with the game room downstairs to the board games in the closet. Wifi was no issue. The driveway is steeper than your average driveway, but it is on the side of a mountain. We had 4 cars with us including a Nissan Altima and a Nissan 12 passenger van, neither of which had any issues with the driveway. Even with our 4 car vehicles we had ample room to park 3-4 more vehicles. If you are considering this place, please do not have any hesitation, It is well worth every penny!

My wife and I booked Smawlie cabin for an overnight stay, to take a much needed break from the daily grind. I was initially attracted to the booking by the quaint and small cabin feel, with the added bonuses of a great view and hot tub! Mike (the host) was very responsive and provided an excellent level of details about the route there, activity suggestions, local eats, and other helpful tips. The views were excellent from the hot tub/deck; we had very clear skies and saw shooting stars! Cleanliness 100%, VERY comfy bed. The gravel drive to the top was a bit steeper than I anticipated, but our Toyota 4Runner made it up and down with no issues, even with snow and mildly icy tire tracks covering the gravel. 100% need 4WD drive to get up there though! I screenshotted the specific directions provided by Mike and also wrote them down in my notes; there was no cell phone reception out there. Plan your routes in and out before traveling! I would definitely recommend Smawlie to anyone!

What a lovely, unique place for a getaway! Whether it's a romantic mini-moon or a weekend in the woods with your besties, this spot is beautiful and so memorable. From taking an afternoon nap in the hammock on the deck to a midnight bath in the tub next to the river, this place is full of lovely and comforting details to make your stay perfect. The kitchen is crazy well equipped, the towels are plush and high quality, the linens are soft, the fireplace easy to use, the windows afford gorgeous views without feeling like you're being stared at, and the sound of the rushing river right outside your door is just wonderful. Kangee herself is so warm and inviting, her detailed instructions make it easy to find things to do and places to eat, she's friendly and so patient and understanding when there's a mishap. Great location with an excellent host. Strongly considering going back with more friends next time. Thanks Kangee!

Stunning setting overlooking a beautiful lake; just minutes from town. Very private setting. Loved the history of the cabin- so authentic to the area.

Very beautiful location. View is worth everything. First level has one bedroom and a one bedroom loft both with en-suites. Downstairs is an adorable total suite with bed, large bathroom, small sitting area, bar table and seats, microwave, coffee, small refrigerator. Wifi is slow. Host worked with us but unfortunately we ended up doing classwork and work needs at the coffee shop in Franklin for internet speed.

Larry was incredibly responsive and helpful. Generous host and the perfect spot for a cousins' get together!

Be sure to get all that you need before heading up the road to the lodge. Lower riding cars might have problems as the road is rocky, my Maxima did fine but it was a loud ride due to rocks hitting the under carriage. The Jeep and Volkswagon SUV did better. Loved all the games for the kids and the beds were REALLY comfy!

Where to start… I’ve lost track of how many times our family has come to the cabin. We basically consider it our fall family tradition but I couldn’t remember when our first stay was and while weeding through the reviews, I noticed multiple people saying it was their fourth and fifth times at the cabin so if that doesn’t tell you something, I don’t know what will. Wayne’s cabin is always pristine and we can easily make ourselves at home. My family has grown up with this cabin and I look forward to many more trips.

Enjoyed a few days here exploring the area and visiting nearby towns. Great place to stay!

Beautiful and secluded area. Tom & Melissa are the most gracious hosts with great recommendations for great hikes and surrounding restaurants. We’ll return as soon as possible.

This tiny mountain home was perfect for our Thanksgiving this year. We enjoyed living the mountain life for a few days while we woke up to gorgeous views, roasted marshmallows by the fire and spent the day playing in the woods until it was time to watch the sunset over the mountains. A 4x4 vehicle is required to access the property due to the steep driveway. The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials and with a few groceries from Ingles, I was able to cook meals for my family all week. The beds were comfortable. The area was quiet. The neighbors were friendly. We will be back! Thank you Susan and Katie!

Silver Linings was perfect for our weekend away in Highlands. After Hurricane Helene, we didn’t know if we’d be able to keep our reservation, but Becky went above and beyond to check on the property and communicate updates to us daily. We were so glad to be able to go and stay in such beautiful accommodations. We will certainly be back to stay at Silver Linings!

Loved this little gem I found in Highlands - close enough to their downtown , yet nestled in the woods. The deck was perfect for the sunset & it was furnished nicely. We can’t wait to go back!

The home and Tara were great! The space was perfect for our large family - the loft playroom in particular was wonderful for 7 kids to play in and allow the adults to still have a separate space where there was some relative calm. It is remote but still accessible to Cashiers, and we went on several excursions to nearby hikes and waterfalls. We very much enjoyed our holiday there.

Our second stay at the Waterfall House. Always great communication from Michael. Love the house and location. The "driveway" needs some work, but Michael gave us a heads-up and exactly how to navigate. A great stay.

Exactly what I was looking for, seclude and with a lot of nature around it, but close to a lot of recreation. Great place for relax.

Cindy’s home was wonderful for a short weekend getaway. The home was in pristine condition and had everything that you could possibly think of. The house was intentionally setup to make any guest feel at home. Cindy was a great host, incredibly responsive and proactive to make sure that we were fully prepared for our stay. We will certainly be back to Cindy’s mountain getaway in the summer time.

We absolutely loved our stay in Kathy and Tommy’s cabin. Just the right amount of rustic and modern. The cozy living room with the gas fireplace was my personal favorite, the front porch with the rocking chairs was my husband’s. Kathy and Tommy were great hosts, their guide book about the town, local restaurants and hiking trails helped our trip greatly. It would be a dream to stay again.

We had a fantastic overnight stay at this Airbnb! The apartment was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable night's sleep. The host was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

Loved our week at this fantastic cabin! It was everything we hoped, and more. Great location - felt very private and tucked away, but yet was very close to town. Hosts were great about communications and making sure we had what we needed. We will definitely return!

First of all, let me start with saying that Margaret is an absolutely FANTASTIC host. I messed up my departure date and didn’t realize it until the day of, after check out time (first time that has ever happened to me, horrible!😭) and she was SO HELPFUL, so understanding and just the absolute best!!❤️❤️❤️ Margaret’s place is very cute and neat. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need (the big Christmas mugs were my favorite!). I loved all the fluffy blankets and the electric fireplace was a nice touch too, since it was really cold this week. The view over the mountains and pastures is really pretty too and the house is very centrally located, close to Franklin but in a quiet area.
