Vacation rentals with a kayak in Machar

The cottage is gorgeous! Came equipped with everything we needed for a long weekend! We enjoyed relaxing on the dock and swimming out to the water trampoline. Lots of wood stocked for campfires which was greatly appreciated! Perfect location - 25 min drive to Limberlost Forest to hike and 10min to the delicious Henrietta’s Bakery! Will definitely return!

We had a great stay, very beautiful area. We originally found it difficult to locate with our GPS taking us to the wrong location. However, that was our own mistake missing this detail in the listing as the hosts did mention this and described how to best locate the location. Hosts were quick to communicate with us when we got a bit mixed up in our directions. We did not realize that the Air BNB was located at a marina, but a visit in the fall was very peaceful and quiet. The fall colours were beautiful. Spacious and clean accommodations for a good price.

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

Our family really enjoyed our time at this beautiful cabin! Check in was quick and easy and Jadey was extremely responsive to messages. Communication was great from arrival to departure. While we did not have access to the wifi, these things happen and we understood. A storm that blew in the day prior caused some issues which didn’t affect our enjoyment and it was a good opportunity to “unplug”. Included availability of the Kayaks, canoes, and water bike was a great way to explore. Excellent location for young families looking to spend relaxing days on the clear and shallow beach with the kids. We also took advantage of the basketball net and tennis court on the cooler days. Overall we had a great stay at Sunset Cove and have no doubt we will return again in the future! Thank you Jadey and Jack.

The place was as described and the host made sure to check in with us via email before, during and after our stay. The home was clean and exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for helping us make our few days away as relaxing as we had hoped.

Derek's place gave a perfect ending to our summer vacation! Very family friendly with all the features just as described, and even more (go explore around!). In addition to other good reviews, always fast respond and so nice to offer some supplies we forgot to put in the luggage; surprisingly we found some chopsticks in the kitchen which is really considerate! Definitely recommend Derek's lovely place ❤️

We and our dogs had a fantastic stay over the Thanksgiving weekend! The cottage was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed. We loved using the wood burning sauna and the fire pit and appreciated that the firewood was provided. Rebecca responded very quickly to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this cottage.

James’s place was perfect for our group of 6, could have comfortably fit more. The cottage was very spacious and had everything we needed. James was awesome to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed and made sure we felt at home. I recently stayed at this cottage, and it was an absolute gem! The location is peaceful and beautifully scenic, providing the perfect escape from city life. The cottage itself is incredibly well-maintained and spotless, reflecting the care put into making guests feel comfortable. Easy access to the water was a huge plus. The host was fantastic, very responsive, and quick to answer any questions, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a serene retreat!

Beautiful spot – love the big festive porch, surrounding trees and lake access – and the interior was super cute and comfortable – real and lived in, with everything you need for your stay. Heidi was super easy to communicate with – and we loved the flowers and sweet welcome treat! While the lake was lovely, weed-free and great for swimming, it was a bit deep for the likes of my 4-year-old (though he/we mustered up the courage to go in a couple times, with a life vest of course!). Heidi was kind to recommend some local beaches which we went to – and provided floaties for our enjoyment! All in all, a great and relaxing week. I'd love to be back there still – and we'll definitely come again!

Great place to stay for a large group of people! Very spacious with lots of room inside and outside. The lake is on the smaller side if you have a pwc but during the week there is almost no other boat traffic so it worked great for us with tubing, boating, and fishing! The cottage itself is a little dated but there was everything we needed to enjoy our stay:)

I would come here again and again and again. It was serene and peaceful, yet comfortable and homey. The Wifi was flawless so we were able to keep up with work while enjoying the location and sneaking out for hikes in the park.

We just returned from our stay and had a wonderful time. Amanda was very quick to respond to any questions and they’ve clearly put a lot of thought into their cottage. We had some rainy and cold days but loved the extensive movie collection and extra blankets. We loved the sunrise views from our room and slept well. The lake is beautiful (shallow at the dock) and we enjoyed paddleboarding around the lake and relaxing on the dock. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a large assortment of water toys, life jackets, and floaties. We were really happy with the kitchen supplies and found everything we needed to cook our meals throughout the week. Thanks for a wonderful week!

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with family at the cottage. Cozy, clean and everything we needed! Gorgeous and peaceful lake views and nice walking around the area. Playground nearby for the little kids and big kids too. Would recommend.

We discovered the perfect secluded getaway in this beautifully maintained property. The grounds were consistently plowed during snowfall, making our winter stay worry-free. The main cottage comfortably accommodated our group of 5, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen and a thoughtful welcome kit with snacks and coffee. Two full bathrooms with provided toiletries made sharing the space easy, and the comfortable beds ensured restful nights. The clean, spacious hot tub was perfect for relaxing after outdoor activities, and the reliable wifi kept us connected. We enjoyed both the excellent heating system and the cozy wood fireplace, all while taking in beautiful waterfront views. Killbear Provincial Park, just 40 minutes away, offered excellent winter hiking. Quick tips: bring extra towels as only one is provided per person, and pack slip-on shoes for travelling between cottages. While water has a slight odour, it tastes perfectly fine. We’d love to return in the summer! Highly recommend!

It was our second stay Dee's place for a ladies weekend. This is one of our favourite spots! Comfy beds, each bedroom with a bathroom, 2 large seating areas, well equipped kitchen. And Dee is quick to respond to any questions. Thanks again Dee!

We had a great stay here. The warm welcome, a great host, the great location, everything we needed already at the cottage, and the gorgeous views of the lake. Loved it!

Our stay at this Muskoka cabin was perfect for unwinding. Eliza and Safiqa were both amazing hosts. The 50s vintage decor and cedar furniture created a cozy atmosphere, and the serene lake views were breathtaking. We enjoyed the pedal boat, and the outdoor BBQ space for meals with a gorgeous lake view. There were also lots of activities to do only 15-20min from the cabin which was an added bonus. Our stay had been a fantastic retreat to disconnect and recharge. Highly recommended!

A small cabin that has everything you need for a comfortable stay to unwind and u plug. Beautiful view of the lake. The inclusion of a canoe and kayaks was an added bonus. Getting there was a bit tricky bur the host gave us very detailed instructions so it was no problem. Highly recommend this “little cabin in the woods” if you are looking to be in this area and have a small group.
