Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Machakos County

I had a fantastic time booking this property, from the USA, for my family located in Kenya. Sid’s place was very affordable and since I had a last minute change in itinerary after booking, Sid was helpful in finding a neighboring place (literally the house next to his property), to host my family after which they moved to his property. Sid was very responsive and supportive throughout and my family had an absolutely wonderful time at his place. I’d book this place over and over again, and I’d recommend anyone traveling with a big family to Nairobi to consider staying at Sid’s house.

The house was as described and exactly what my family needed. The area is nice and quiet and very secure. We definitely enjoyed the space and made many memories. Thank You Thomas for also being very responsive- we really appreciate it. We shall be back!

Extremely clean and cozy place, surrounded by nice places to eat out and shopping malls. The place is a haven, with extra spaces for chilling or working. She has put thought on the decor and the garden is well taken care of, making it a memorable place. Jacque is extremely kind and very communicative. I will definitely come back!

William is an excellent host!! He was always responsive when I would message him. The place was so accommodating with all modern amenities! Super clean too and Beds were comfortable! The place is in a very convenient area near shopping mall and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

Lovely stay at TAWS house, beautiful house in a very private setting. the staff were helpful. The house had a lot for us to do, and keep the kids busy. It is dog friendly and there was a lot of space for our dog to run around. took a walk in the morning and saw a hyena as well, was a little scary being with the dog and seeing a hyena! On the second night, there was a power issue, but the caretaker came to help, unfortunately there was nothing they could do, so we didn't have power for the rest of the stay which was a slight hindrance but it was near bedtime and we managed ok. All in all, a lovely experience and I would recommend staying here.

nice place in a somewhat closed community, feels safe. apartment had everything needed and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. very accomodating host. worth knowing it is a 5th floor walk up if you have any mobility issues. really liked the place, will be back for sure.

Great value, clean, comfortable beds, and perfect for what we needed. Loved the place and would definitely stay again. Within the complex is everything you need including restaurants, a bakery and convenience shop.

Wanjiku's place was an absolutely amazing home to be - stylish, the ambiance and it was super cozy. Equally, the owner is customer friendly and very responsive to customer's details. I would highly recommend and pick it as a spot any day!

what I loved about the place is how clean it was! it's peaceful and private too . The host is kind and friendly .

If you want to stay close to Jomo Kenyatta airport in Nairobi, this is literally a 10 minute drive away. Very close as reported. You will get a real sense of Kenyan city life. Real people going to work, kids going to private school and shops everywhere. Very convenient city location where you can walk 1-2 minutes to buy clothes, groceries, go to restaurants and bars. Stanley and his team are happy to give recommendations or advice if asked. He responds to any issue quick within 10-20 minutes. Stanley provides excellent customer service and goes above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my stay.

We stay at George’s apartment often and we’re never disappointed. I’d recommend.

Nice apartment with pretty much anything you would need. Great view from the balcony to the national park. The apartment complex has a beautiful courtyard and a good size pool. There's a small supermarket on site and a nice restaurant. Quite close to the airport. Only 2 issues with it: The trains below are really loud, and they do run also during the night. Due to the heat we had to keep the windows open and this invited a couple of mosquitos.

Brilliant place, awesome host

Ruth is probably one of the most responsive and proactive superhosts I've ever encountered. She was quick to address any issues that came up and made sure the apartment was cleaned periodically in addition to checking up on me. Not just a great host, but a wonderful human being too!

Christine is a great host and her AirBNB is fabulous. It is in a very nice, quiet and friendly location (Tatu City) with many services close by (supermarket, restaurant, pool, big park). Tatu City in the North West of Nairobi is a very quiet place, wonderfully planned and allows everyone to go for a walk in a safe environment. Christine's AirBNB was very clean, had all the amenities you want and we immediately felt at home. Christine is a great host. She always responded quickly, helped us when we had questions and made sure that we are well taken care of by the security guards. We can highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you, dear Christine, for making our time in Nairobi a success.
