Cabin vacation rentals in Locarno District

We had a truly wonderful stay at Ca Pedrot! The cabin is super cozy, we loved the sauna, and the views are fantastic. We loved the little touches like nice bed linens and towels and luxury soaps. There's an extensive range of pots/pans, cooking utensils, etc. The cabin has plenty of privacy. It's also is on a nice snowshoe path, for winter visits. We were particularly impressed by Andy, the host, who was super communicative, got the fire going in the wood stove for us because we were arriving in the evening, gave us pointers for using the cable car and finding the cabin in the dark. True hospitality! Can't wait to go back.

Our stay with Luana was just perfect! The property is excellently equipped, cozy and offers a fantastic panorama. Particularly noteworthy is Luana's warm hospitality and the practical cooling options for our groceries. Although the accommodation is a little clairvoyant, this has by no means affected our wonderful stay. We felt completely comfortable and highly recommend this place!

Exceptional host, exceptional place! We loved our stay in Wild Field Lodge and, as hosts ourselves, greatly appreciated the thoughtful amenities available throughout the property. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids under 5, and so it’s tricky to find accommodations that are actually relaxing, let alone loaded with toys and kid entertainment. This place is serene, fun, well equipped, and beautiful. The host’s communication and generosity were outstanding. You can feel the love invested in this property, and that makes for a very special life experience. Highly recommend!

Alicja’s place is a true experience. We arrived in the evening and had no idea how beautiful it would be in the morning with the sunlight. Alicja was always friendly and responsive. The house has no hot water, and the electricity is from batteries and a generator. * All the info sent was super clear, and the set-up was easy, so if you are looking for a fancy place, this is not for you. Thank you, Alicja for the amazing experience >)

The cottage is beautifully located. 10 minutes by car up the mountain from Brissago. View over the lake is great and large garden and nice terrace. We were there for Christmas and the living area can only be heated with the fireplace. On cold days, you are burning a lot of wood that you have to buy yourself. It's cozy! There are electric heaters on the bedrooms, but we hardly used them, we like to have bedrooms cool. Plenty to do from the location; beautiful hikes nearby, winter sports 1 hour to 1.5 hour drive in e.g. Carì, Andermatt or Bosco / Gurin. We had a wonderful week with lots of sun!

Had a wonderful stay: so so so beautiful, the uniqueness of the house and its view, the surroundings, hiking trails... all very peaceful Will defenitively come back! thank you Aldo for picking me up and bringing me back to brissago with the car ( came with public transport from Lugano) I wanted to walk with my bags and groceries from the village to the house, but Aldo insisted to bring me. Aldo is a super host and does everything to make your stay even more comfortable! Through him i got to know a little bit more about the history of the house as well, which makes it even more special Wow !

Very friendly hostess. The place was comfy and warm when we arrived. We loved the chimney and being able to walk right to the boulders 👌

Lovely place to get away from busy city life. The hike up is no problem and mostly stairs in the forest. We even hiked it with headlamps at night (1km about 250m elevation). Bring a hot-water bottle if you come in fall or spring. The valley is beautiful and offers lot's of easy and more challenging hikes. We had a great time and would come back!

Mountain house surrounded by nature with breathtaking views that, alone, is worth the asking price for the stay. The house is spacious (we were in 5 adults) and has everything you need for a peaceful and pleasant stay. The two wood-burning fireplaces available are more than enough to heat the spaces in a short time and give a timeless atmosphere. Mario is an extraordinary host: responsive, very kind and available. The directions and instructions you gave us on the different roads to get to the house were clear, real and useful. In short: I recommend everyone to stay in Mario's house, you will not be disappointed!!

Beautiful location and staying in a simple rustico. We had a wonderful time and the host was very responsive. Only downsides: Some problems with the access to the place due to a car barrier not opening but and a complicated explanation of how to het to the place instead of a google maps location.

Marion’s stone house is a perfect place to relax and be away from everyday life. We enjoyed making fire everyday. Our highlight was to bathe in the “cheese pan” while looking at countless stars. Thank you very much for letting us stay there, we would love to come back soon!

The cottage is really adorable and Sarah is a great host. The staircase to the pointed gable is not for children and disabled people. The Swedish stove in the living room is great. The kitchen utensils are a bit outdated but are available for 2 people.

We felt very comfortable in the accommodation. Noemi was quick and responsive to our questions and concerns. Especially the explanation via video about the use of the pellet stove was very helpful. Since it was a cool, rainy day, it was very nice to be able to heat some. The property is also good for people who travel by Postbus like us. There is a small shop in the next village which has everything you need during the holidays. And the nature, the tranquility are wonderful.

The beautifully furnished apartment is located in a uniquely enchanting village in Ticino. We enjoyed the stay very much. Communication was straightforward, Manuela and Mario are very friendly and helpful, they are great hosts! We will be happy to ☺️ thank you again!

If you like the tranquility, the diverse nature, the species-rich mixed forests, the Ticino villages with their traditional granite houses - those who like all this will find a paradise in the Rustico of Regina. Absolutely recommended.

We found the Rustico right away thanks to Lorenzo's video in advance of what the access/away looks like. Check-in was hassle-free and everything as described. The Rustico is just beautiful. Everything necessary is available, is homely and lovingly furnished. In terms of weather, our week could have looked drier, the nicer it was to come back after an extensive walk and make yourself comfortable in front of the fireplace. Around the house, there is 🤤 another reason to fire up the fireplace. The cozy balcony under the gable is perfect for the good morning coffee, squirrels could watch them. Lorenzo is an exemplary host, we felt at home in his Rustico. Thank you very much and gladly again.

Homey place and very accommodating and helpful hosts, perfect for a break in the mountains. In the chalet it has almost everything you need for everyday life and a very well equipped kitchen. The property is completely enclosed and great for travelers with a dog. Wonderful view and great atmosphere (we caught the first snow during our visit). Scenic in winter and certainly just as beautiful in the warm season.
