Lovely converted barn, located a short drive from buxton and ideal for exploring the peak district. Property exactly as described and how it looked on the pictures. Loved the hot tub and sauna, made for a very relaxing stay!

Had a fantastic stay! We arrived and not long been in before tom popped round to see how we were getting on he lives just behind so was nice to know if we needed anything he was close by especially when we couldn’t turn the tv on we messaged and he was straight there to rescue us!haha! Very clean,gorgeous hot tub,comfy beds, a few nice little touches like milk and sweets for the kids. Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone. Thankyou for having us and letting us have an amazing weekend!!

Absolute gem of a place and would recommend to anyone. beautiful views and would be superb in the summer. Hot tub was fantastic very hot and clean with good powerful jets and very secluded. Tastefully decorated with the bonus of sky sports.

We arrived during storm Eowyn and Emma offered us the option to check in early, allowing us to travel in the light. The cottage was great and the gaming barn was a good addition too. The cats were very friendly ! All in all a great stay

We booked Dot’s place as a treat for our dad and it did not disappoint! A beautiful cabin with a peaceful and tranquil vibe, perfect for relaxing and being with nature. We loved the log burner and the hot tub was an extra bonus! Dot was a fab host, always friendly and responsive, helping with anything we needed. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family, and will return in the near future. Thank you for a great stay!

We all loved the Shearing Shed. Tucked away in the bottom of the valley, it is a clean, cosy, comfortable house set in beautiful surroundings with amazing views from sitting room, bedrooms and garden. The ground floor was wonderfully light and airy. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was lots of comfortable seating for both sitting and dining. Learning about alpaca farming and meeting the alpacas was an unexpected added bonus! I would highly recommend as a quiet, peaceful retreat with lots of walks direct from the house and with easy access to Buxton.

Jane communicated all we needed to know. Getting in to the property was easy. lovely bungalow, very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Good shower. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Local walks were fantastic, would definitely book again

Terry was very helpful and responsive. The Forge is very quaint, its clean but not pristine (decor is aging) but homely and comfortable. My parents found it a little difficult as the sofas are very low., and the downstairs bedroom option is only a sofa bed so wasn't suitable for them as I had hoped. But there was room for everyone and it was lovely and warm. Kitchen well stocked for Christmas cooking, although there are no numbers left on the cooker dials so that was a bit of guess work. The parking was a bit irritating as only one space at the cottage so loading and unloading of multiple cars was messy. Chinley is a fantastic location with lovely views, ample shops and pubs for all the basics and a nature reserve where you can let the dogs off lead. A great place for large families to come together to cook and eat together, various comfort levels for the beds which were basic, bathroom facilities very basic/dated. This large house was a Christmas Blessing to our family

Very quiet and peaceful location. Well appointed flat, cosy and easy to find. Corinne was proactive in providing check in details and making sure all was OK. The fresh milk and tea coffee were much appreciated on arrival due to December weather. Great transport links into the city by bus or train. The nearby Mersey waterside is impressive and only a short walk away. Would definitely return.

Great accommodation. Very clean, spacious and cosy. We enjoyed watching the animals and meeting them. Hosts friendly and flexible.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay this time as much as the last. Place is spacious and well kept. Owner is very responsive and helpful. Would recommend this place for anyone that needs space and a nice place to relax. I would stay here again in a minute.

Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage had everything we needed. Great communication from Jane and clear instructions. It was peaceful and the view was lovely. The kids liked the pull out tables, they came in handy. Would highly recommend, thank you.

What a find! Our stay exceeded expectations. We loved everything about it, warm and cosy, comfy bed and sofa. A great wee place to escape to and fantastic as a base for waking. The heated floor in the shower room was a real luxury after a long walk. We couldn’t fault it and have already recommended it to our friends. No traffic noise despite being close to the road between Chinley and Hayfield. It was easy to get to, just a short walk up the hosts garden path and over the track. Definitely worth a trip. Perfection! After a stressful end to 2024 I needed an escape for a few days and Ruth’s place was everything I wanted/needed and more. The decor was right up my street and it felt like a little home away from home. Warm, cosy, peaceful, immaculately clean, great location for walks, great views. Milk, bacon and biscuits provided … perfect. I will certainly be back 😊

Return visit for Christmas (great having multiple ovens and a big fridge). Enjoyed the views and relaxing with games including the pool table. Local shop (5min walk) supplied the last minute needs. Bus into Bolton and train into Manchester worked well for us.

A lovely little house in a really nice neighbourhood. Walked into Hoole within about 12-15 minutes, really good sized Sainsbury’s and some really cosy pubs, The Faulkner Pub was a real find and food to die for. Got a taxi into Chester centre for around £6.50, only a 5 minute drive away. House lovely and warm , comfortable beds and lots of wardrobe space. Most definitely would return in the future.

We stayed for a couple of nights in the loft and it was absolutely the perfect base to explore the city from. Super responsive and helpful hosts and supplied with everything we could possibly need. 100% recommend to anyone visiting to stay here.

Such a great house: easy to find; close to all amenities you’d need and more; beautiful surroundings; peaceful atmosphere; a short drive to Chester; and great communication from the hosts. We stayed here to host our family of 11 for Christmas dinner and whilst no, it didn’t sleep that whole group, there was more than enough room to prep and host the feast! An altogether fantastic stay and muchly recommended!

We visited for Christmas and with Alison’s help this was the perfect location to reminisce on our time living the region but also helped forge new memories. The perfect hosts and location for our visit to the Manchester region.

We had an amazing stay over the Christmas period. location is perfect for walking into Bramhall and also a quick drive to other locations. The cottage was a perfect size for the 3 of us. Jo and Stewart were very welcoming. We will look forward to staying at the cottage again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chrissie's Airbnb! The space was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and felt so homely—definitely a perfect retreat to relax in after a big day out. The location along the canal was stunning, offering peaceful views and a lovely atmosphere. The amenities were top-notch, with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. What truly made this experience exceptional was Chrissie herself. She was incredibly accommodating and a fantastic communicator, always providing reliable and prompt responses to any questions I had. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness really made the stay special. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area—we would definitely come back!
