Vacation rentals in Laois

We (family of four) stayed in Ashleigh and Micks lovely cottage for a week. The cottage is very private with beautiful countryside views. It is really nicely decorated, and comfortable with a beautiful kitchen which was very well equipped, with all utensils, an oven, hob, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. Communication in advance of visiting was very clear and we easily found the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it - thanks very much Ashleigh and Mick!

James and Elizabeth couldn’t have been more welcoming. Toddler Sophia loved the toys, the garden and the farmyard. Her adults really appreciated the comfortable, easy living spaces, the cosy fire and the big kitchen. Our hosts always responded quickly to any query and made us feel completely at home.

If you are looking for a dreamy, peaceful, and romantic place to relax, this is the right one. :)

We had such a lovely time on the maud gonne boat. A lovely relaxing experience(once we got the hang of driving the boat) Siobhan was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived. She went through everything about the boat with us and how to drive it which after a while was a breeze. If we needed anything we were able to text Siobhan and she would get back to us in no time. I have to give a special mention to sean at the fishermans pub, what a gentleman. He gave us a tour around the pub and was so knowledgeable and interesting to speak to. Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed this trip, the comfort of the boat, waking up in nature to beautiful surroundings and sounds, and all the wildlife we saw along the way. We cannot wait to return.

Super cute and clean, plenty of space and location was perfect. Just outside of town but easily accessible with a car. Yvonne was very responsive and her and her husband gave great recommendations.

Our host was a gem! Extremely quick to communicate and eager to help in any way she could without being intrusive. The house had everything you could need for your stay, a home from home. Close enough to Kilkenny to explore but Castlecomer had some great food outlets. We particularly loved the Lime Tree Cafe and Restaurant and the Avalon House Hotel ! The discovery park also in walking distance would be great if travelling with young family.

My fiancé and I stayed for just over two weeks at the cottage and couldn’t have been happier!!! If anything was missing or we needed assistance James and Hazel were briskly responsive in aiding our requests. The cottage is lovely with amazing views and kind/curious animals on property. We would highly recommend staying with them and plan on doing so again in the future!
