Chalet vacation rentals in Lake Michigan

We loved staying in this vintage ski chalet. The view of the ski resort lit up at night was gorgeous! Will definitely book again!

We stayed at the Chalet the weekend of Cherry Festival and found the price to be VERY reasonable. We were a party of 8 and felt comfortable with the space and bed layouyt (2 couples and 4 kids). The decor was very tasteful and we noticed all the little touches such as bringing extra dish soap over, fresh flowers in multiple places, and delicious, fresh cookies! There is a basketball hoop and campfire. They have a wonderful deck out by the lake, perfect for parents to hang out while the kids swim. Next time, we'll make use of the grill down by the lake and make a meal down there as well! Plenty to do on the property alone! Becky was very helpful when we wanted information on Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and provided information on the area before we got there. Thanks for a WONDERFUL stay!

Carrie’s place was fantastic! Easily slept 12, easy to get to right off of a paved road.

there was plenty of room for seven people. the rooms were all big. there was enough stuff in the kitchen to use. the only thing I wish was a half bath upstairs people had to come down to use the bathrooms. but other than that it was great

This place is a hidden gem, very peaceful and quiet, beautiful area. The house was a perfect size basement area was perfect for the kids, they loved the karaoke machine, building blocks and the bunks were a hit. We also loved the surprise ring hook game by the firepit/grill and the giant janga game in the garage. Aiden was amazing at responding to any questions we had during our stay. Great neighborhood for going on walks.

The photos on the app simply don’t do this place justice. It is cute, homey, thoughtfully appointed with all the games, cards blender, pens, paper, cooking gear, paper plates/plastic cutlery you don’t have space to bring and often - even at an Airbnb rental- end up having to buy or do without. Boat launch in town is a 5 minute ( by boat) ride away so in a week, we launched once and landed once and fished every day. Already planning our next trip here.

This cottage was a great stay for two families. There was more than enough for all 8 of us. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook all of our meals. It was nice to have two living room areas to hang out. We loved how close it was to skiing and enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the evening. Peggy was an excellent host, she got right back to us when we messaged her. I have already recommended this for place to others and hope to be back again!

I wish I visited this place in summer. It would be fun if we visit this place in summer, we would get a chance to swim or do kayaking activity in the lake. But I love the view in the snow. It is a private place and I felt very peaceful inside. I enjoyed every bit of it.

Great place to gather when you need space! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We were in town for a family wedding. Lots of great places to sit and talk inside and outside too. Very close to Charlevoix and The Castle Event Center. Would be beautiful in the fall and winter!

We had a wonderful stay and it was perfect for our group outing. Everyone was comfortable and the space had everything we needed. We liked that both kitchens were well stocked with cooking and kitchen ware as well as storage space for all our needs. Almost every room having their own bathroom was very nice, and the building layout and bedroom number allowed our group have plenty of their own space. The common areas were cozy and big enough for all of us to congregate and share meals together. It was truly a great perk to have the shuttle service and resort spa available to us. The location is convenient to downtown Boyne and Gaylord for quick trips and the house itself was in a picturesque and peaceful area. We would absolutely love coming again and would plan to stay longer so we could take advantage of more activities next time.

This location worked great for our larger group. It was clean, comfortable, and in a good location. It’s only one mile away from Summit Village, which was convenient. Thank you for a great stay!

Our stay at this cabin was phenomenal! With its 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it perfectly accommodated our group's multiple families across various age groups. Not only was it a tremendous value, but its proximity to Traverse City made it an ideal choice for us. We were delighted by the cabin's cleanliness and the spacious, open layout. The endless supply of firewood was a blessing, especially during the unexpectedly chilly nights. Ryan was outstanding—responsive and helpful, making our experience smooth and enjoyable. This was our first visit to this area, and it surpassed our expectations. Although we typically kayak on the Oscoda River, we ventured to the Manistee River (just south of dam) this time and found it to be a much nicer trip. It’s safe to say that we’ve found our new summer kayaking destination. Overall amazing stay, would recommend!

Very secluded - even more so than the pics make it look, with a great water spot just down the road perfect for catching an amazing sunrise over the water! Very easy checkout - the hosts just ask that basically the place not be left in disarray as to not accrue a cleaning upcharge. The area was great as well, lots of charming small communities with great places to eat and spend time at one of the many beaches! The outdoor spaces were just fantastic and made it incredibly convenient to connect with nature. If I ever make it back to Door County, I don’t think I’ll even look for other accommodations!

Troy and the house are great, beautiful spot that’s well taken care of. Neighborhood is quiet, but the few neighbor interactions we had were pleasant and kind.

this was a beautiful place to stay for the weekend and only about 30 minutes from boyne! would definitely stay here again!

We unfortunately seen people complain about this place because of the spiders or the bees, little critters, etc… however it’s a chalet in the woods, cozy and comfy! Nice people all around and we really enjoyed the entertainment of the boats going up and down the channel. Will definitely come back and recommend to others. Entire house was beautiful and well kept. Lots of space for everyone in family. Loved the layout and the little twin mattress was useful for my toddler. Super close to swiss Valley.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible Airbnb in my hometown during my 20th high school reunion, and I can’t rave enough about my experience!
