House vacation rentals in Lake Malawi

I want to thank Alina and Mirriam for being such supportive and flexible hosts. It was my first time here, and despite arriving with malaria, I absolutely loved the cottage. It's well-located in a beautiful, safe area, clean, nicely decorated, and thoughtfully detailed. The layout is cozy, with a dining/kitchen area, a small living room, a comfortable bedroom, and a neat shower and toilet. The little veranda overlooks the garden, and I can’t wait to enjoy it on my next visit. The security staff were friendly and even helped carry my bags when I was too unwell. Alina and Mirriam allowed me to extend my stay day by day until I recovered, relieving so much stress. They even offered to send a friend to take me to a clinic if needed. Having spare bedding ready for fever breaks was a lifesaver. I’m sad I couldn’t fully enjoy my time here, but I will definitely return. Thank you for sharing this wonderful space and for your incredible kindness and care.

Fantastic place in a beautiful setting. Monica is the housekeeper and she is fantastic. A/C worked great and they had back up solar so no issues with electricity. I highly recommend this home. You do likely need transportation as it’s a bit outside the main city but highly worth it!

It’s a great place with a massive yard for those summer BBQs. Lovely custodian that stays on the property. I’ll certainly be back!

What to say that hasn’t already been said. The Yewo Hideaway is absolutely stunning! One of the places that is actually more beautiful than the photos. The view is one of the best in Malawi! The main house was larger than it looks and we thoroughly enjoyed the space- from cooking in the kitchen to eating on the deck overlooking the valley and lake below. Tiwonge’s warm greeting upon arrival made us feel right at home and so comfortable and relaxed. We stayed three nights but wanted to stay for many more! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful & peaceful stay.

Our stay was incredible! The host was incredibly communicative and the house was perfect for our needs. We loved staying here and will definitely be choosing it again!

The house is beautiful, cosy and comfortable. The rooms are clean, spacious and some even with air-cons. The big kitchen is fully-equipped and there's plenty of fridge and freezer space. The pool is just perfect for hot days and relaxing. Ines the housekeeper is friendly and helpful, really made us feel like at home as did all the other staff too. Security is top-notch. Excellent place for short or long term stays in Lilongwe. The location is perfect since it's on the quiet side of town, away from all the dusty roadworks, but still close enough from Gateway Mall and other shopping places. Will definitely come again when visiting Mzuzu and highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfy stay in Lilongwe.
