Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Hopatcong, Jefferson

This was our second time staying here. We loved it. The dogs especially love the huge back yard. If you have small dogs be aware that there are some areas that the fence has gaps at the ground that they can fit through. Will definitely stay again!

Everything was perfect ! My family and I had a great time. Looking forward to staying here again in the summer.

Spent a weekend here with family and 5 little dogs. There is a bit more paperwork you have to do to get allowed into the community and to get the visitor pass at the Welcome Center. Once inside the community, getting into the house was easy. It was very cozy with lots to do in and out of the house. It rained the entire time we were there...but the house had lots to do inside. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials and was able to cook a beautiful family dinner! Thank you for the beautiful setting for our family yearly gathering!

The views from this house are beautiful . We had a great time and Evelina was easy and quick to communicate with. It was so serene / peaceful and the house got plenty of sun so even in the winter you can sit on the porch on a nice day . Would definitely recommend this house! Careful to make sure you are abled bodied because there are a lot of steps down to the front of the house but worth being right on the lake if you are able to do it !

Stayed here in 2024 and loved it so much that we came back a year later in 2025 for an event longer stay. The home is exactly as described, no surprises, and is in a serene and peaceful location. There are a great variety of fun amenities in the home to keep you occupied and entertained for days. Most importantly, Patrick (the host) provides great communication and hospitality making the stay that much more enjoyable and relaxing. Love it here!

My family stayed at Chris and Tricia's home for the Christmas holiday. The space was large and comfortable, and a huge perk that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kids and dogs had a great time playing in the snowy woods and we took advantage of the nearby hikes to burn off some energy. We did experience unexpected issues with the heat, though Chris was incredibly responsive to make sure they were addressed and repeatedly checked in on us through the stay to make we were comfortable. Thank you for the great stay!

We had a great time. House was perfect and secluded. Close to many different hiking trails and restaurants. We would definitely come back.

I have been to many places but this house was top notch I'm glad I got to stay there with my family. everyone was very happy with the property. I would like to stay in the summer as well

Mana's house is absolutely perfect. The property is really beautiful & right on the lake. The house is very clean & well stocked with so many extras. We enjoyed the sauna, hot tub & game room. Mana is an amazing host & went out of her way to make sure we had a perfect vacation. She was extremely thoughtful & had a birthday cake in the fridge on our arrival as well as a treat basket with goodies for our pups too. We had great communication with her throughout our stay. We highly recommend Mana's place & wouldn't hesitate to rent the house again!

We spent our Thanksgiving at Shanna's place. We had 2 families and 3 kids. The space was large and very comfortable for all 7 of us. The home was also very clean and had everything stocked that you need. The kids had a special bunkbed room and there were toys, books and a game room that they loved! The whole place is nicely decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed just hanging out it was a cold and rainy few days so we basically stayed in and it made a great home base. Unfortunately because of the weather we didn't see much of the area but the home is very central to the little town and grocery store. They also had a fun bowling alley in town that the kids loved. We just enjoyed playing games, watching movies (she has tv's in most of the rooms) and having a cozy fire. If it hadn't been raining it would have been fun to sit around the fire pit in the big backyard. Shanna's place is lovely and well taken care of. She was a super responsive host. We enjoyed our vacation in the Poconos!

We very much enjoyed our stay! A perfect gateway to bring in the new year. The views in the morning of the lake were absolutely beautiful. So quiet and peaceful. Abby was also an awesome host and answered all of my questions right away!

This was the perfect spot for my sons and me to stay during an impromptu ski vacation at Mountain Creek. The accommodations were comfortable and very well maintained. The kitchen is spacious and state-of-the-art. The view of the lake--invisible when we checked in at 10pm--is incredible and was a pleasant surprise greeting us in the morning. My boys loved the game room (even though they'd insist they're too old for it). Check-in and check-out was super-easy. We would definitely return the next time we go to Mountain Creek.

Lisa was a wonderful host and her place was perfect for my 3 sisters and I for our weekend away. The house was roomy and comfortable and had everything we needed.

Being on the lakefront was really wonderful. The sun comes up over the lake, which is amazing to watch. We lit a fire in the backyard fire pit each night. The water is very inviting, and it was warm enough to swim in mid-Sept. Douglas has lots of watercraft available for use. He was super responsive. My son was pulling small bass out of the lake nonstop with his fly rod (catch & release). The house was very clean, well laid out, and well stocked. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Tom's house was absolutely amazing! We had everything we could possibly need for a long weekend, plus so much more. Tom was a great host for starters; very responsive, great instructions and overall pleasant to talk to. The house was beautiful! It was clean with some of the most comfortable beds. There were plenty of extra blankets and linens as well as toiletries, he truly made it a great experience. The living room, dining room and loft space were spacious and comfortable and gave us plenty of room to spread out. We only had 5 people, but this house could fit so much more. The basement and game room were nice added bonuses. The outside was amazing with a beautiful view of the lake, plenty of room for kids to run around and play and the hot tub worked perfectly. It was 7 degrees outside and 102 in the hot tub. We will definitely plan on staying here again in the future!

The house was just like the pictures. However, a picture couldn't capture the tranquility and beauty of the view from the house and private large quiet patio. The swans passed by along w other birds! Walkable into town for restaurants, CVS or the local park/lake. A few blocks away was a well stocked little market owned by a hospitable man. The neighbors were very friendly; the community very safe. Easy driving on HWY 17 to many local places nearby, that includes the wineries.

this was our second stay at Bernard's listing.....there are A LOT of options in this area for AirBnB so that should be all you need to know ;). As expected, the home is beautifully decorated for the season, spotless and I think the linens and towels were amazing! Bernard and his team were very responsive and helpful and the little added touches made this special weekend for us even better....already planning another stay here!

Totally beautiful, even in winter. Great architecture and art, and comfortable! Camille very friendly and responsive. Wonderful stay for 6 of us.
