Vacation rentals with a kayak in Lake Couchiching

This is our second time staying at Jamie-Lee’s cottage and we cannot say enough good things about it - it’s become our little peace of serenity and a perfect place for a break from the city. The cottage has everything you need, is impeccably clean and Jamie-Lee is super friendly and always available for any questions. It’s a perfect place to visit any time of the year! We will be back!

We had a great stay here! Helen was so accommodating and was able to host us so last minute after another location cancelled on us the day of! We really enjoyed playing the large selection of board games that were available there and the kids loved the bunk beds! Very clean

Fred’s house was great! The house’s open concept was large enough for all of us (6 adults) to hang out in through the cold winter days without feeling crowded. The fireplace added lovely ambience and warmth. The six bedrooms ensured we all had our own space, which was a nice treat for our girls’ weekend. The master bedroom with ensuite was particularly spacious. The whole house was nicely decorated, and overall was a cozy and welcoming place. We didn’t use the sunroom, as is unfortunately smelled of smoke. Fred was a very responsive host. He quickly answered any questions. We had a lovely stay here, and wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend it.

Beautiful property on Lake Simcoe with more than enough room for everyone we absolutely loved our stay and requested to stay longer but unfortunately it was committed to other guests. Great hosts, great communication. This property is the place to stay if you are looking for a spacious, lakefront property with privacy in Innisfil which is very hard to find. Highly recommended!

Helena was amazing. Exceptionally helpful and accomodating when we ran into issues on our end. Would definitely recommend this location and definitely would return!

Stayed for the Thanksgiving long weekend. Great location with 1.5hr drive from the city. Very clean, cozy and well equipped. The owners are very thoughtful and offered a welcome package of snacks. Beds are comfortable. Beautiful backyard with lots of trees, a fire stove and access to a small lake. Lots of activities to do. We enjoyed the paddle boat and pooling a lot. Overall a five star and great cottage for a short getaway!

Stayed at Linette & Dave's place with a group of friends and loved it. The house feels very homey and cozy, and the property and surrounding landscape are lovely. Linette & Dave were always quick to respond and provided some great recommendations for local hikes.

We were very happy with our stay over Labour Day weekend. Lynne was a very responsive, helpful and engaged host. She offered an amazingly well stocked cottage, esp the kitchen. The cottage is spacious and bright. A few windows could be openned but there was central AC. One bedroom is a loft, accessed by a small staircase. The waterfront was very pretty, with lots of chairs, kayaks, a pontoon boat, ski doos and a great fire pit w lots of logs. There isn’t beach access at her cottage but there is a nice beach with sand for guests of the community within walking distance. The cottage is accessed through a community of RV, many w beautiful additions. There is a river winding through this community. Her property is separate and private. We appreciated how quiet it was around us and on the water.

What a great location for a cottage! The included boats (canoes & kayaks) are really nice. We went in late October (end of the season) and the neighborhood was nearly deserted. We were often the only people out on the lake. It takes about 20-25 minutes to paddle over to one of the several waterfront restaurants in Port Severn. Trevor's communications were very precise and easy to follow. Only negative comment concerns the well water. It's not just high in minerals, it is so high in minerals that it smells terrible and you really don't want to shower in it.

The cottage setting was spectacular! Quiet and peaceful with the amenities my group loves - big, comfortable common spaces, a large kitchen, and rooms for private, peaceful sleeping. The wood burning fireplace was a real treat.

My family and I had a very cozy stay. The home is beautiful and there are lots to do! The property had access to the river right in the backyard. Definitely need to supervise little ones at all times as there aren’t railings at the edge of the property and the water is about 20 ft deep but our little ones had a great time on the dock and in the yard. Richard was also very responsive and was able to answer all of our questions! Overall great place to stay!

We had an amazing time. 4 adults and 4 kids and two dogs. Check in was super easy. Host checked in upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. Cottage was private and clean. Cottage was completely equipped with everything you need. Location is great. The water is clear and shallow for quite a while so great for kids. Lots to do in the area. We will be back next year! :)

My friends and I do an Airbnb every year. This was the best place we have stayed in. It was everything Chris and Fran had said it was. They are also extremely hospitable. Would definitely go back.

We had a great week at Daniel’s cottage - the perfect place to relax & unwind after a week exploring the sights in Toronto. Daniel was an excellent host - no question was too much trouble, & he was very quick to respond to any queries. The cottage & amenities were exactly as described and proved to be perfect for our family - especially our two 16 & 19 year old sons, with plenty of time spent swimming, kayaking / canoeing, riding the Peloton, or playing table tennis, table football, & the X-box. The location of the cottage was perfect, with beautiful views of the river and surrounding woodland. The rear deck was the perfect spot for breakfast or BBQ’ing in the evening & watching the sunset. We ate at the cottage most days with supplies from the excellent Canoe Stores & Bakery in Washago, which had us coming back for the pecan slices on a daily basis! We ate out at the Lock42 Grill, set in a beautiful location beside the canal. All in all we would highly recommend Daniel’s cottage.

We just spent a few days at this beautiful cottage and my children and I loved it. The place was so beautifully decorated for the holidays, which my children truly appreciated, especially the basement Grinch tree! The home was so well setup for families with kids. We had a few rainy days and couldn't ski, so spent lots of time playing board games, listening to Alexa's playlist of music, and even video games. The house was prepared for everything...even three busy kids! Location was great and close to Horseshoe Valley, where we spent lots of time when it wasn't raining. Amanda and Ryan were responsive to our needs and always ready to offer advice and help. My kids want to come back now in the summer! Thanks for a great experience!

Awesome weekend while enjoying the lake view, amazing board games. Not once disappointed!!! Sad to see the weekend go by so fast. Always enjoy the time here & will continue to recommend it to our friends.

Nrupas cottage was more than what we expected! The location was perfect, the cottage is more like a house, the layout was perfect for gathering friends and family. The deck is huge and plenty of seating. There’s a fire pit with lots of seating. The bunkie is great for more privacy. There’s canoes, kayaks and a paddle boat…the lake is gorgeous. The neighbours are friendly. Comfy beds, We will be back!

Had a beautiful and relaxing girls weekend. The cottage was so pretty and neat. Hot tub and sauna on site, Netflix available. I would definitely recommend and I would love to go back in the summer and enjoy all the amenities offered!

Overall, my partner and I had a wonderful time at the Black River Haus. Beautiful interior design, the essentials of what you’d probably need for your stay, and a peaceful neighbourhood. amazing spot very cozy, absolutely stunning. Madeline was very helpful and accommodating. the only issue was we couldn't find a broom to sweep the floors when we left lol. so I give a full star rating thanks for letting us check in early and allowing us to park the trailer at the Airbnb while we went atving in the beautiful area. this is a must book for anyone and everyone

Definitely will be booking again. Very relaxing!
