This unit is sparkling clean. The beds are comfortable and the bedding just right. We did not spend enough time in town to use the kitchen. We enjoyed the coffee shops around the corner and walked a few blocks to find dinner. Everything the host could do to make the home comfortable was done. The only thing that we didn’t like about it was the construction in the neighborhood (late Jan 2025) which was noisy and made access to the home more difficult. It is also close to a busy street so there was a lot of noise from cars accelerating and changing gears. We stayed two nights separated by a week and the Friday night was noisier than the following Thursday. Closing the windows helped a bit but the temperature was fine outside and we like fresh unconditioned air.

Lu's apartment is better than any hotel I've stayed at in Tekapo, just a 3-minute drive from the Dark Sky Project. The surroundings are very quiet and private. Lu is also very warm and hospitable, and the facilities in the entire room are very well-equipped, clean, and tidy. We spent two very pleasant and comfortable nights there.

What an interesting place Hokitika is. Perfect beachfront house for the stay. Within walking distance to the shops and a short stroll to the rough ocean beach. Highly recommend the this place for that west coast experience.

We enjoyed our stay here. It feels really new. There was plenty of space, and the master bedroom especially was really nice. I found it super quiet, but some others said they heard some sirens at times. Maybe just which bedroom we had? We cooked in the place and that worked well for us. There's a big garage which was very useful. Overall happy and we'd be happy to stay again.

A fabulous wee unit with lots of space. Close to restaurants and main shopping area. Although limited cooking facilities, just a microwave, this wasn’t an issue for our four night stay. The unit was very comfortable and quiet, and the hosts were very easy to deal with. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay here. Great place for six adults, three year old and baby. Handy having the bedrooms separated with the lounge and kitchen in middle. Handy with three toilets. Nice location. Very clean and tidy. Comfortable lounge suite. Would stay again

Just incredible. The views atop the hill are stunning. The house is comfortable, spacious, and has everything you need. The space is designed in a considered and creative way. We just loved our 4 days here and would happily return. The location is an across a creek that can get quite substantial after heavy rainfall. Best visited with a 4x4 car to ensure safe crossing. Peel Forest has great local bush walks to enjoy, all within a 5 minute drive - Emily Falls (advanced), Dennistoun (intermediate), Bug Tree (easy). It was particularly cool to see Grant take off and land in his plane right beside the house. Michelle and Grant are phenomenal hosts and this really is a special find. Highly recommend.

Very nice home with ample parking space and a nice deck. Perfect distance to walk the lake and walk to the nearby restaurants. Also relatively close driving distance to places like Mt. Cook if you want to do skydiving or extreme sports. Very easy hosts to communicate with and check in early / check out late.
