Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Kyoto

Masako was the friendliest host we've ever had, she picked us up from the train station (even though we got in at like 11 pm), she showed us the local restaurants on the way to the airbnb, gave us a quick walk through of the place to show us where everything was. she even helped my son with his shoes and to wash his hands. she is always responsive and so incredibly kind! The airbnb was so nice, about a 15 min walk from 2 train stations eith plenty of food options. its like walking into a fully stocked house. so nice! will always recommend her airbnb!

It is close to Kyoto Station and Aeon Mall.The place is clean and tidy, really has a Japanese family feel, you can smell the light wood scent when entering the house, the owner's daughter is kind, friendly and welcoming, we are going to check out the day we are going to visit another six-person room type house of the owner's daughter, this house is a Japanese style tatami, the other is modern, I really recommend this one night when people come to Kyoto for a trip.

It is close to Nijo Castle, and the nearby bus is very convenient, with lines such as 202, 203, 204, 206, and can get almost anywhere in Kyoto.The room is very large and very clean, and the decoration style is very good.Very satisfied.

Nice stay in a quieter neighborhood and good public transit options nearby.

The interior is quite well designed and the facilities are easy to use.The boss was very enthusiastic and patient with our questions about the surrounding restaurants, and helped us book the restaurant.All in all, it feels great, and will consider booking this room when you come to Kyoto.

One back and forth pick up from each station and the village allowed us to stay in a spacious, authentic villa in the escape of the Mishan countryside. Miyama's milk and eggs are also included when you check in, and the kitchen is fully stocked. Sitting at the fireplace to listen to the sound of wood burning, feel the sunshine on the porch and enjoy the snow are great memories.

The most beautiful and well looked after home. Super clean and well presented. Keiko was super friendly and helpful. The location is great with lots of cafes, shops and markets, imperial palace in walkable distance. I would 100% stay again.

Ken is an extremely friendly and helpful host. He came to greet us and explained everything to us and gave us lots of tips for things to do. He helped us organise our trip to the airport and ordered a taxi for us. The flat has everything you need and a big balcony out to the river. The area is very central and private at the same time. We enjoyed our stay very much.

A beautiful, cozy apartment in the heart of Gion district Kyoto. Location is excellent. We enjoyed seeing geishas and meikos regularly on evening walks just outside the apartment. It was close to hiking trails, many sightseeing destinations, trains, restaurants, etc. In the heart of everything. And yet super quiet, being on 4th floor with no neighbors (above or on sides) in an alley. Only downside is that the kitchen is very efficient, single burner, no counter space, etc. But you should be mostly eating out anyway. Also there is a red light at night in the main room from the fire alarm—we had to cover it with a jacket to sleep. Not sure what other reviewers thought was deceptive—it was as I expected, and honestly the view is phenomenal. Yes there is a parking lot but you can hardly see it and beyond that are the beautiful Kyoto hills and tops of temples peaking out. Tatami room was wonderfully cozy. Furniture and linens were quality. Stayed super warm inside. We miss it already!!

We have been to more than 100 AirBnBs around the world. Ken and his apartment are truly outstanding and, after staying for 4 nights, we immediately rank them the BEST. Ken went an extra mile in his help rendered to us. Ken welcomed us in person and gave us lots of local recommendations. His apartment has an unbeatable location that is close to everything while it has all the privacy and quietude. The decor of the apartment enchanted us at first sight. He prepared everything for us neat and tidy, even including salt and pepper. The bedroom is comfortable, like any plush and chic hotels in the world. The terrace refreshing, and we felt at home on the first step into it. He has a well-equipped kitchen. They have all kinds of silverware and cutlery. Ken is working very hard to ensure everything is more than alright for us. We are so grateful for his kindness and generosity.

Beautiful space with lots of room for a group of people.

The owner's elegant and lovely personality everywhere, such as the building, garden, and facilities, and it was a very beautiful place to stay. Your explanation and response were also very polite and helpful. The BBQ and bonfire in the garden with the scent of golden rhinoceros were fun and exceptional.The breakfast you provided was also very delicious, and everyone had a great trip from beginning to end. We'd love to visit again if we get the chance.

He drove to Kyoto to pick us up at Yamashina Station on the day of arriving, and then gave us a detailed introduction of how to play in Kyoto.
