Chalet vacation rentals in Kuusamo

The beautiful log cabin is located in the middle of the forest, with few neighbors and therefore great privacy. In a few minutes you can reach a lake and by car you can quickly reach the main road, which leads in all directions. In Ruka, about 5 km away, there are many opportunities to participate in outdoor activities. You will be looking for "ruka fi", we tested some and were very happy with the value for money. With the help of the Aurora app, we could even find the right evening & capture aurora lights with the cell phone camera. We had booked the place some time in advance and Ulla answered all our questions in a timely manner and thus contributed to the success of a great stay. We fully recommend the place. The Lappländer we met were all very friendly & accommodating. We loved the vast & manageable number of people, away from mass tourism. Christmas in the snow is simply magical.

Our group's week-long stay at the listing was very successful. A big thank you to Matt, who was very hospitable and thorough in all of our communication. A personal farmhouse near Suomutunturi found everything we needed. Strong recommendation :)

The apartment is exactly as beautiful as in the photos. The sauna was great to warm up in the evening after the cold icy day. The fireplace made some effort on the first evening. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response the next day, with reading through the instructions on AirBnb we did it. The bed linen costs extra. Per person 18 Euro. We are used to fitted sheets but here there were only 2 single towels for the large bed. To turn the heater up a little, you should write to the host. When we did, we didn't get a response. It was warm enough with the fireplace. However, the bedroom has always stayed a little fresh at night. Nevertheless, it is a wonderfully beautiful place to stay and we would definitely come back here.

We had a great stay in Ruka. The atmosphere was very cozy and quite. We enjoyed the free fire place and sauna. The kitchen was well equiped and big enough to cook our meals. For sure you need a car but then everything is nearby - supermarket, restaurants (the pizza at Pizzaria Ruka is very good), national park, etc. We can recommend the Airbnb!

Amazing home! Beautiful log cabin decorated with elegant atmospheric design. Very well-equipped kitchen in the cottage. The location is excellent. Great for a family with children.

A clever and compact cottage with comfortable and stylish decor. Only a few dozen meters to the nearest ski lake ice. We loved it.

Our stay with two children (4 and 12 years) was wonderful. The house is in a quiet wooded area by a large lake. Within a few minutes walking distance is a Ruka Safaris pick up point. Over the lake we were walking, with skis or the sled in a short walk across the street, at the foot of Ruka. From here, you can take the skis directly up to the village center with a drag lift. The ski resort surprised us very positively. For each level it was so much fun. And along the slopes you can have a picnic and warm up at firepits in various places. The children loved baking sausages on a skewer. The house has everything to relax. And in the kitchen you can find everything to prepare meals. The hosts are very friendly and respond almost instantly. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

We felt very comfortable in Teemu's house. For two people, the house was just right for just under two weeks. What was really nice was the bed. Very comfortable and the plus size linens - a dream. We preferred to sit at the kitchen table for breakfast and watch in the sunshine of the slopes as she prepared the great trails and the cross-country skiers hurried. After a sports day with cross-country skiing or a snowshoe hike, to be able to go to the sauna, just nice. Teemu always governed questions in a timely manner and was able to solve an electrical problem remotely. Shopping and ski rental are 5 minutes by car in Rukantyla. And especially cool was that we could see the Aurora borealis almost every night and I had enough time to improve my technique. All in all, a nice holiday.

A cozy, peaceful cottage with a beautiful forest view perfectly met expectations. Everything you needed was thought out. Clear instructions and smooth check-in. Only 200m to the top, and other services a short drive away. Quietness and good beds ensured a good night's sleep. The ingredients in the recipe for a stress-free vacation!

The Villa was in a pristine condition by lake Vuosselinjärvi. We had a dreamy stay - amazing for a peaceful vacation in Ruka. The higlights were the Sauna, boat, fishing and swimming in the lake. I couldn’t recommend it more. Piritta was very responsive and sweet. The stores and restaurants are easily accessible from the villa. We loved it - definitely coming back next July!❤️
