Villa Palmeira was an exceptional stay and I highly recommend it. Agus looked after our needs with a smile and organised daily massages, a snorkeling tour, shopping trips and more for our group. We will absolutely be coming back! Additional information that is not in the other reviews: 1. A 10L filtered water bottle is hooked up to a machine. It is safe to drink. 2. The staff know how to prepare fruits, vegetables and salad. We ate a LOT of fresh salads and did not get sick. 3. Expect to see animals around the villa including small snakes, crabs, lizards (which sound like they are quacking), dogs and cats. 4. Agus will book with local groups – meaning you will get the most bang for your buck AND experience the greatest hospitality Bali has to offer. 5. Alcohol is expensive. Customs allows 1L per person to be brought into Bali. 6. Treat the staff well and they will treat you well! Agus loves Baileys and Whiskey. We tipped $50000 - $100000 IDR ($5AUD - $10AUD) for various services.

An exceptional time made posible by the host recommendations becote our arrival, we woent 2 weeks at the villa for a family holiday. The arrival was seamless thanks to the pick up organised by the host. The villa is terrific villa and iso is ts staff. All was as described and even better. The villa is perfect, well built and well maintained. The staff is very available and took great care of us. The villa is super quiet/private and yet located in the midlle of everything (within walking distance) and the many recommendations made by Cheryl (the host) were all very good. We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful and luxurious, perfectly located—close to Ubud and Tegalalang, yet far enough to feel immersed in nature. The surroundings were stunning, offering a true nature experience. There’s also a small shop conveniently nearby. Highly recommended! Doni and the crew were amazing hosts! Special thanks to Mrs Astri who took care of us from the moment we came!

Since this was our visit to Bali, my wife and I wanted to experience spending time with a Balinese family. Ketut and his family were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We loved the fabulous tropical peaceful ambiance. Authentic Balinese breakfast provided was absolutely delicious. Ketut was also a tour guide, this was very helpful to us, he took us around for two days. Ketut also kept our luggage while we visited Nusa Penida and transported our luggage when we returned to our new location. He’s truly a gem! Highly recommended!

This place was gorgeous, so green and tropical. Very clean spaces, bedrooms and pool area. The ladies that service each day are gorgeous. Boni & Jero, Always smiling. Initially finding it was difficult, which Dewa had mentioned, but it had the wrong address listed. Our driver called and spoke to Dewa in Balinese and then we found it easily. But the instructions could have been much easier. Put a sign up at the top of the laneway with the Villa name and tell everyone it’s directly opposite the Puri Padma reception area. That is my only complaint if you can call it that x

We had an amazing time staying at Villa Umah. The villa is stunningly beautiful. It looks better in person and is a slice of paradise. My family of 6 had plenty of room. Ngakan welcomed us and made us feel at home instantly. His team Kadek and Julie made us an amazing breakfast every morning and the villa was cleaned every day. The Ubud area is incredibly green and natural. You can relax here or for more adventurists people you have access to ATVs white water rafting Bali swings and zip lines. The shopping is amazing also in the area and great food is everywhere. What ever your style Villa Umah is the perfect place to base yourselves for an unforgettable Bali experience.

What a treasure in the heart of Ubud! It’s near the shopping district and many wonderful restaurants. The house is exceptionally well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen and the bathroom. The air on worked perfectly. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was perfect for a late afternoon dip to cool off or an early morning meditation. The house is equipped with filtered water on demand. It was a pity that we only stayed one night. Next year it will be more.

A lovely villa in a quiet oasis in Ubud! Made was so helpful from the very beginning of our stay to the very last minute. We wish we could have stayed longer. Delicious omelettes and fresh juices for breakfast. Rooms clean and spacious. Good value for the $. The pathway leading to the villa from the Main Street is just over 1/2 a km. (Only pedestrians and scooter access) Made and his staff help with scooters and give you a lift upon check in and also when leaving. Location is great as close to the Alchemy yoga studio and about a 20-30 min walk to Ubud palace and the Water temple. There is a taxi stand at the entrance of the pathway as well. Thank you Made and staff. We hope to return one day soon!!

I loved my stay, Bukit Sari feels as my home in Ubud. I’ve spend 24 days here and it was a treat. Loved the great energy, beautiful green garden and private beautiful and comfortable room with a private porch. A beautiful pool surrounded by nature and peace. Very peaceful place walking distance from many great (vegan) restaurants.

A world of its own! There are many many things I could say about this private jungle escape. Villa Katana is completely individual and wonderfully eclectic. So many intricate details to each room and space. We spent a week here as a family and felt so at home. Time to read, swim, workout, cook and be cared for by the best staff in the world! I have to recommend Ekas cooking too. A big shout out to Wayan for singing our little baby to sleep most days while he also served breakfast. What a fine man he is! I recommend Villa Katana to anyone who is wanting to escape the world enter a playful jungle oasis, solo or shared with a bigger group. Cannot wait to return.

Where do I start ! … I literally have nothing bad to say at all!. We were welcomed in the car parking area where are bags were taken directly to our villa. Citra welcomed us on arrival and explained the gardens and grounds and showed us all the different plants . She sat us down in the restaurant and then brought out a cold drink and beautiful canopies that were delicious. We had arrived early but only sat for a short while before our room was ready… we checked in early. The villa was incredible and attention to detail was so special I actually cried. Flowers in the bath, flowers and chocolate on our bed, beautiful designs with the towels it was breath taking. Citra had also made sure we had electric mosquito plug in too. Communication was amazing , we had her direct what’s app number so we could order any food or drinks to be brought to our villa. Food and drinks were delicious , the staff were super polite and very friendly. I would 100% recommend this villa to anyone. Love it

Excellent place, love the pool and suroundings, villa very roomy and cosy, walk to shops and beach, really nice, Arjuna is fantastic hoast, organiced airport pick up which was so easy and well priced, the breakfast is a bonus and very nice, overall we loved our stay, highly recomended value for money, Thank you Arjuna we will be back :) <3

This was a very comfortable and welcoming space with boats available to answer any questions and help arrange things like transportation and laundry. It was so kind and helpful of them to set up a car pickup from the airport, and they kept the space beautiful and clean with every other day cleaning. This level of service went above and beyond and made our stay so much more enjoyable. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and impeccable hospitality from our hosts. Highly recommended!!

Made and Sayu have directly secured a path to our hearts with their hospitality and helpfulness. Always fast, honest and accommodating communication, things were made possible quite naturally (e.g. a scooter was delivered directly to the villa, laundry was picked up for cleaning and we were allowed to arrive a little earlier at no extra charge). The surrounding area offers a lot of nice restaurants and cafes that cover every taste and nice shops and coworking spaces. The beach can be reached within 2 minutes walk. The internet was workable (had some video calls). Hadn't been booked, we would have stayed longer. There were no hidden incidentals or enrichment attempts on site. The building was also super cleaned!

Simply brilliant !!! Kadek and all the team cater for your every conceivable need. The food is amazing catering for our party including our fussy teenagers. Putu will organise trips and again very flexible to suit our changing needs during the trips, we often made unscheduled stops and putu is extremely safe, reliable and knowledgeable. We had a fantastic dolphin watching trip organised by Putu with a pick up by the boat on the beach outside our villa at better rates than were available with tourist companies. If massages are your thing then you must book to have treatments at the villa, these like everything else were better, cheaper and much more flexible. We have been lucky enough to stay at Fabolous locations throughout the world and this is the the best holiday we have had. We are coming back and if you are looking at a villa in the North this villa and Kadek and her team are simply AMAZING !!

We had an amazing stay at this villa. The villa itself was well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and all the amenities we needed. The location was peaceful and private, providing a great escape from the city. What really made our stay special was the host Stephane. He is very hands-on and approachable, always quick to respond and offer helpful tips. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are well-kept and always clean (they have a cleaning staff who come 6x a week). Really love the pool and the outdoor area. The housekeeper, Bli Nengah, was very helpful and very attentive. Overall, we love it!

Great little villa with a very nice pool. Really clean and beautiful! If you are not accustomed to noise bring ear plugs for sleeping. Great location near all the shops you need. Felt safe and secure too.

A True Oasis of Happiness – Perfect Hospitality at Mari Guesthouse We were allowed to spend twelve unforgettable nights at the Mari Guesthouse and can say with full conviction that it almost feels like a little paradise here. As soon as we entered the property, we were greeted by a fantastically beautiful garden, which enchants with a variety of exotic fruits and plants. We enjoyed the small swimming pool for daily relaxation. A very special thank you to Karin and Made, who with their warm nature have made our stay a real feel-good experience. Communication was excellent at all times, and we felt completely welcome. Likewise, we want to highlight Ketut – an incredibly gracious and caring person. She always supported us with valuable tips and took wonderful care of us. This guesthouse is a real secret tip that I can recommend at any time.

Great place to stay, we had a lovely time next to the pool, the breakfast organised was amazing, cleaned every day, host answered questions very quickly and even went and bought us a bag of ice! Fabulous

Beautiful villa, with lovely spaces and the staff were wonderful. The services for the villa that were provided are excellent. The hosts were also extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to stay in Canggu!
