Holiday home near Gairloch - stunning location!

KirstineRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This is a spacious, cosy, comfortable place to stay. It's peaceful, remote, in beautiful surroundings - the Atlantic to the West, the mountains of Torridon to the East, and views of Skye from beautiful local beaches. Onie and Ally were friendly and helpful (above and beyond after I'd gone knee-deep in a bog on a walk, making sure my boots dried by morning). The apartment is, if anything, better than in the photos - the comfortable sitting room/dining/kitchen area really spacious. I slept super-well here and had some great walks and drives in the day - taking hundreds of photos.

An Outdoor Enthusiasts Slice of Heaven

JesseRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We came up all the way from Somerset to stay for 4 days for my partners birthday - she'd never been to Scotland and I hadn't been for years. Karen and Uisdeans place is a little slice of heaven. Tucked away near the Caledonian Canal and Loch Lochy it is divine. We managed to explore all the way out to Oban and to Skye whilst staying here, as well as some more local sites like Glenfinnan and Loch Eil, and Loch Ness. We were lucky enough to have snow whilst here which made the place even more beautiful and peaceful. We got engaged whilst up here as well so a totally special stay - we'll definitely be back here, it holds so many amazing memories for us. Karen and Uisdean are so helpful and lovely, with loads of info provided if needed, and a lovely tour of the property. They even left some dog treats, a dog blanket and a cushion for our puppy! Would 100% recommend to anyone heading out this way.

⭐️ Skye View Cottage ⭐️

JosephRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Had a wonderful stay at Pasha's place. In a great spot central to the many sights and activities on Skye, and it was great to have this location as a home base. Also very walkable to restaurants/pubs in Portree, near the grocery store, and very nice to have a reserved parking spot. Pasha was a wonderful host who was very responsive and even helped us out when some issues came up during our trip. Highly recommend!

Modern cabin with private hot tub & stunning views

RickiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an incredible stay on Skye - made more special by snowfall and cloud free skies! The view from the cabin was even better than the pictures showed - perfect for both resting in or exploring the Isle of Skye. Duncan & Emma (& Joe) were responsive to deal with any small issues that came up - and the hot tub was an added bonus for sunrise, sunset and star gazing! We had a wonderful stay and would certainly come back - thanks!!

Stunning Self Catering Cottage - The Otters

ColinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Otters is a special place and exactly the peaceful retreat we were hoping for. The house was spotless and everything was like new. Everything we needed was there from cooking utensils to comfy beds and a proper bath (my idea of luxury). We were made to feed very welcome from the get go, with great communication and helpful advice. Alan and Sara were amazingly helpful and even helped us when we managed to get ourselves stuck in the snow. I would highly recomend The Otters to anyone wanting a "get away from it all" break, and with Ullapool a very short drive away, you are not isolated or have to travel far for suppiles or a meal out. 5 stars all round.

Driftwood Cottage near Glencoe, Highlands

RyanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was our first visit as a family to Scotland, we are quite well travelled but this short stay is one of my favourites and Undine's Driftwood property played such a huge part in it! Not only was it clean but it just felt so warm and homely. The property was also well equipped in terms of bedding, linen, furniture (the log fire!). And a special mention of the view from the living room straight out onto the lake and mountain, truly stunning. We managed to do so much in our short time here including Steal Waterfall, Glenfinnan Viaduct, Inchree Waterfalls, Glen Nevis, Fort Augustus (Loch Ness). The property is so well positioned in that so much is within easy driving distance. All of our friends have remarked on how lovely a trip it looked and how nice the accommodation was that we stopped in. Undine's communication leading up to and during our stay was friendly and warm. When we left our parting note in the farewell book it was chock full of similar sentiments. What a gem!

Cottage in Kyleakin

The Anchorage, Kyleakin. Right on the Skye shore.

Robert DRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Me and my Brother initially wanted to go abroad or somewhere a lot further away from home but when we stumbled on this place it was a done deal, no more discussion or looking for anywhere else. The pictures of the property really don't do any justice, it is remarkable and the view you can get just from standing at the at the kitchen is totally unbelievable and no picture or description can really truly capture what your seeing. The location is great to just relax, its very quiet and peaceful. Amazing for just enjoying your morning coffee or doing any type of reading or chilling. Me and my Brother mostly chilled in the living room with the fire on just watching movies when we weren't out doing something. The walks and trails you have after only a few minutes from leaving the home are great. We got to see a old Viking castle with some wrecked boats that were really cool to look at. The only real negative I can say about our stay is that we only went for a week and not longer.

Heron Bay - Loch side, huge deck, log burner

WallaceRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our stay at the Heron cabin was beautiful! Very well equipped and great value for money compared to other airbnbs. The views out on to the loch were stunning, the huge deck was great for having a cup in the morning and the heated floors in the bathrooms were an amazing surprise for us. The fact there were two bathrooms was excellent too. Absolutely zero issues or complaints and would happily come back to stay again :)

Fantastic location with spectacular views. We used as a base to visit the Isle of Skye and surrounding areas. Coming back each night to our accommodation was equally spectacular as the house was so comfortable with everything you would need to chill out and relax. Highly recommended.

Luxury cottage, Isle of Skye

TomRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The house is stunning set in beautiful surroundings. All of the bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable, I spent the mornings watching seals out in the bay from the front room with a cup of tea - you can’t get much better than that! The views across the bay and towards the mountains in the evenings were fantastic. The house has everything I needed and more, a real ‘home from home’ experience. A great stay and I will absolutely be returning.

Lochview caravan Grosebay .

EiriniRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I arrived on a windy and rainy day and initially felt a bit hesitant about staying in a caravan, but this experience far exceeded my expectations! The caravan had a beautiful view, and the interior was cozy and warm, even with the rough weather outside. The internet connection was surprisingly fast and reliable, hot water was available whenever I needed it, and the gas oven worked perfectly. Everything was excellent, with just a minor issue, the towels had a slight smell of humidity. However, I always bring my own towels, so it wasn’t a problem for me. What truly stood out was the hospitality of the owner, who personally visited the caravan to check if I needed anything, which I really appreciated. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
