Vacation rentals with beach access in Kaveri River

I recently stayed at this Airbnb in Pondicherry, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The place was super clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly easy to locate, making my trip hassle-free from the start. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, always available to answer any questions and provide great local recommendations. The checkin and checkout experience was also smooth . The host was kind enough to allow us for a late checkout without charging any extra. Their warm hospitality truly made the stay even more special. The property itself was gorgeous, with a well-thought-out design that added to the charm of Pondicherry. Everything was in perfect condition, and it was evident that a lot of care goes into maintaining the space. If you’re looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and well-maintained place to stay in Pondicherry, I highly recommend this Airbnb. I would definitely love to stay here again on my next visit!

This place was a last minute find for us. But absolutely loved the stay. Felt very comfortable and at home. We get to have the most flexible check-in, and everything we needed was there. It was absolute home like. Also felt the inert need to keep em clean henceforth. Very spacious and calm getaway. Would definitely recommend this to anybody needing a private and quiet vacation!!

Mr. Shashank was very cordial and responded everytime there was a query. The place located perfectly such that everything is in a 2km radius, be it the Restaurants, Beaches or Pubs. Clean washrooms, all basic amenities and good air conditioning for the hot weather! All in all a cozy place for a brief visit to Pondi!!

The stay was incredible! It was exactly as described in the listing. The entire space is very thoughtfully done. The promenade is a 10 minute walk from the place. The host was extremely gracious and friendly. He gave us really nice recommendations which elevated our overall experience. We really enjoyed our stay.

The stay was perfect from the moment we booked the property. Answers to FAQs about itinerary, places to visit, recommendations were provided proactively. Details regarding house rules, booking of entry slots to Auroville Matri Mandir were also provided. Location is a stone’s throw away from the promenade and away from the chaotic market, cafe street etc, it’s a perfect location. Augusteen (the host) and Sudhan ( the caretaker) were both great. They helped us with everything proactively. The place was very clean and very well equipped. Everything worked perfectly. The terrace has amazing views and a nice quiet time can be experienced on the terrace in the early morning. Check out was smooth. We requested for late checkout and were promptly allowed to do so. Overall, it was just perfect and highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The host was incredibly supportive and made us feel right at home. The location is perfect with plenty of attractions within a 2 km radius. There’s also a convenient scooty rental service nearby, making it easy to explore the area. The flexibility with check-in and check-out times was much appreciated. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!

The place was as shown in the photos. we were 11 adults and 2 kids. We booked the entire place and it was perfect for our family. The kids had lots of fun, Niyas and Farid were helpful and communicated very promptly. We had no issues with the place. Would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family again.

The place was really amazing . It is a perfect space for 5 person . The rock beach was just 8-10 min walking distance . there was as such NO Smell such homely vibes . No time bound, can come and go anytime. Made my trip really really memorable.

Amazing place to relax for a few days and use as a base to enjoy some time in Elathur.

The Anchor House is certainly a rare gem. Beautifully made and with a stunning view, it’s a perfect getaway from city life - it’s also a peaceful holiday spot for a group of friends on family (in my case, a cousins’ retreat). Shaji, the caretaker, is extremely helpful and just a call away. He also brings excellent home-cooked breakfasts. We’ll definitely come back to this property. Thank you for having us!

An excellent base to explore Pondicherry. In Whitetown, in a not very crowded place and close to all the major attractions. The Promenade and the Rock beach are just a five minute walk away. Many good restaurants in walkable distance. The apartment itself is very nice and comfortable. Clean rooms and bathrooms with clean linens and towels. Kitchen is equipped for basic cooking and was very useful for us. Check in was smooth and quick. Sherine is a very responsive host. We had a couple of requests which were quickly taken care of. The flip side to the awesome location is that it is across a pub/restaurant which was playing music well past 11 pm and was audible in the rooms. A concern if you are light sleeper. But all in all, a highly recommended place!

Vivek was very helpful and accomodative during our stay. vivek went an extra mile to secure our luggage which was left behind and hand them over to us, it was very humble of him. The stay was overall really good, and we loved the ambience it portrayed. A must visit for people who want a stay near aurovile and will definitely come back again.

Had a wonderful stay at Rajesh and Vignesh’s place! The location is perfect—right next to the beach, with stunning sunrise views from the balcony. The rooms were big, spacious, and comfortable, making for a relaxing stay. Vignesh was an excellent host, providing clear instructions and even sharing some interesting history about Pondicherry, which added to the experience. White Town is just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the charming streets, cafes, and heritage spots. Light sleepers might hear some street dogs at night, but that’s quite common across India unless you're in a resort. It didn’t take away from the experience at all. Overall, this stay was great value for money and truly captured the authentic vibe of Pondicherry. Would definitely stay here again!

Mr. Anup and Mrs. Mehek were wonderful hosts. Their place is very well serviced, clean and well located. It’s a stone’s throw away from the French quarter, Rock beach and several popular eateries. The hosts added a lot of personal touches to our stay. They met us in person and made sure we felt at home. They gave us a welcome snack and drinks, a sumptuous complimentary breakfast and kept sending snacks from time to time keeping in mind that we had young kids. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the stay especially the bunk bed and the snacks that Mr. Anup and Mrs. Mehek sent our way. Additionally, our hosts gave us useful recommendations for places to visit, eateries and shopping. Moreover, Mr. Anup is very well connected and helps with contacts for vehicle hires, etc. We would definitely stay again on our subsequent visits.
