Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kaanapali

The place is wonderful and fully stocked with things needed for cooking. We whale watched from patio and pool area. The beach is all rock and no swimming there. You are on a busy road slow speed limits but may be unsafe for families with kids. We walked some but did get ubers and lyft mostly. Don’t rent a car as very expensive.

The location was good for us with easy access to the beach and other island sites. House is well stocked with kitchen accessories, beach going toys, towels, chairs, boogie boards, etc. Owners were responsive and communicated well. House was spacious and met our needs.

Will's condo is in a great location that is literally across the street from the beach and can drive to most cities on the island within 30 minutes. There's tons of restaurants in Kihei that are 10 minutes away. Will communicates quickly and gave tons of travel recommendations and tips to get around the island quickly and easily. There's tons of beach equipment in the closet and the kitchen is well equipped.

We celebrated our 50th anniversary with our two children and their spouses at this lovely condo. It was great having three bedrooms and two bathrooms with 6 adults. The condo is spacious and comfortable. The two box springs on the twin beds were shot and Heather arranged replacement the next day. The condo had all the beach items we needed, beach chairs, coolers and a pool noodle for my aquafit. The adult pool and hot tub were almost next door and we always found a place by the pool. The sunsets were visible from the golf course in front of us (January). We could see whales with binoculars from the balcony. Parking is right in front and nearby there is plenty of guest parking for extra cars. The condo was stocked with some spices and oil which made meal prep easier. Our holiday couldn't have been more perfect!

We had a great stay at Kihei Bay Surf. We were right across the street from the beach, but when it got too windy, we also had pool access which was very nice. The road was a bit busy, but ultimately not too bad. For those guests that like to cook from their stays (like we do) we found the kitchen well equipped, though you may want to plan ahead regarding seasonings and condiments, etc. There are also a lot of great restaurants nearby (Karen's recommendations were all excellent!) My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Tamsen’s condo in Kihei. Tamsen was incredibly responsive from the moment I reached out with an inquiry about her property, and she was very helpful throughout our stay. Tamsen offered great tips on local restaurants and activities. The location of the condo is perfect, only a couple of minutes walking distance to the beach! We got to see some amazing sunsets and turtles right there on “our” beach! The property itself was very clean and equipped with all the amenities one could need. The lanai faces the garden, and a couple of beautiful tropical trees provide some privacy from other tenants and traffic heading to the pool. The place is so quiet that I slept through a thunderstorm that knocked down power lines in Kihei and other parts of Maui. About 21,000 customers were affected, so we headed out for a day at the beach! Power was restored by the time we returned! Another beautiful day in paradise! Mahalo!

My husband and I had a positive experience staying at this condo. Communication with the hosts was excellent—they were attentive, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. While we did encounter a mix-up at check-in, as the condo was still being cleaned when we arrived, the hosts handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. Once the condo was ready, it was spotless, cozy, and perfect for our needs. Our baby, who had been cranky after the flight, settled down and slept all night, and we all enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Despite the initial hiccup, the experience was great, thanks to the hosts’ dedication to ensuring we had a pleasant visit. We would happily recommend this Airbnb and would stay here again!

This place was amazing, highly recommend for anyone wanted to travel to Maui and not break the entire bank on the trip. AC was perfect and Anke was very timely with her responses.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There were 3 of us and the configuration worked out beautifully. We had everything we needed and the kitchen was great for us. We were able to walk, take the trolley or Uber everywhere we went. The beach here is beautiful. The view was amazing and we would def stay here again.

Wonderful stay at Ken’s apartment. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Very well equipped for the beach. Great location near shops, restaurants and beaches. Ken was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful ocean views from the lanai. We were a group of 4 + 1 infant. Perfect for our group. Would not hesitate to visit again.

It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a memorable Hawaiian getaway. Steve’s home was perfect! Very comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet (only exception- the rooster next door gave us a wake-up call every morning, lol!). Amenities were wonderful- even had a hair dryer and a couple curling irons in the Master bdrm drawer, plus a couple robes to wear). Plenty of pool toys and beach goodies- towels, new beach chairs and two new beach umbrellas. Even a cooler. We brought a bunch of things we ended up not needing because of what was supplied. The home has been beautifully updated. He has everything you need in the kitchen, too. We’ve already recommended this home to several friends. We had our 4 month old granddaughter with us and there was a Pack N Play provided with the infant insert which was perfect. The Master BR downstairs is huge with a little kitchenette. Everyone in the family loved it. The view off the deck is stupendous. So much so that our (now) son-in-law decided that was the perfect spot to propose to our daughter. Unforgettable trip!

Pamela built an astounding house with attention to every single detail. She not only thought of every possible amenity, but she is so passionate about making sure your stay is perfect. She lives right next door, and is always available to address any issue instantly, and follows up to make sure any potential problem is nipped in the bud right away, and full of inside-info about Maui to make sure your trip is perfect. And I can’t forget the view — might have been the most spectacular sunset I’ve ever seen. If you are looking for a mountain retreat in Maui, this is the place!!!

The guesthouse was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) after arriving from an evening flight. Check in was easy and everything was as described. We didn’t use the kitchen amenities since we stayed just one night, so I cannot comment on the kitchen set-up. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nice and clean. The guest house is walkable to nice coffee shops, breakfast and more. It is a very short (less than a couple miles from Iao Valley State Monument) so that was a nice way to start the morning. Host was very responsive and all directions were really clear. Guesthouse was clean and comfortable, a little on the pricier side for the stay/value, but higher prices are to be expected in Hawaii.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Turtle House. Poni was wonderful, location made us feel like we were locals. Beaches were amazing, so many fun restaurants to choose from. Her guide book was second to none, recommendations were spot on. We will definitely stay here again.

This place was the perfect vacation spot! Plenty of space for your stay and walkable to multiple great beaches and shops. Private gated area feels very safe and parking right at your villa. This is the perfect peaceful getaway

Clean & Simple! Everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location could not be any better, perfect walking distance from Kihei night life and multiple beach fronts to choose from!

Betty’s condo is the perfect two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit right across the street from the ocean and beach. It’s a short drive away from the main commercial area with lots of restaurants and a big park. It’s also relatively close to the airport for convenient travel into and out of Maui. Beach essentials were provided and Betty was a great communicative host!

Location is perfect. Host communicated quickly. Beautiful sunsets from across the street. Close to market and restaurants. Parking spot made coming in and out easy. Ideal for our family of two adults and two kids. One bedroom and pull out couch bed. We loved our stay.

Cynthia’s place was beautiful, amazing views very comfortable, steps from beach ,close to everything,easy check in very ,responsive and helpful and had everything you can think of and more. Again beautiful views from everywhere in the condo even from the toilet, my wife saw a few turtles from there. Would definitely be back
