Jupiter’s temperatures might climb highest in summer, but spring is the hottest season for visitors looking to catch the best the town has to offer. And the rains don’t usually arrive until June, setting the stage for a hassle-free shoulder season. Spring also coincides with many of the area’s biggest events, including spring training for some of Florida’s Grapefruit League teams, which use the town’s Roger Dean Stadium, and April’s Coastal Fest, a treasure-filled fair with activities for all ages.

Turtle Hatchling Walk

Join experts from the Loggerhead Marinelife Center on a summer evening walk along the beach to watch local sea turtles as they nest and lay eggs. The nighttime tour will educate you on the habits and habitats of the ancient reptiles, while offering a rare opportunity to observe an important part of the loggerhead turtle life-cycle.

DuBois Park

Located on the shores of Jupiter Inlet, across from the lighthouse, this multi-use park has a beach facing onto the intracoastal waterway, as well as a lagoon. Here you’ll find excellent snorkeling, designated swimming areas with lifeguards, and a historic Pioneer home. DuBois Park also serves as a jumping-off point for paddling the 40 miles of Jupiter Waterway Trail. A footpath connects it to the neighboring oceanfront, Jupiter Beach Park, adding a ton more space, sun, and sand to enjoy.

Jupiter Lighthouse and Museum

The town’s iconic, bright-red brick lighthouse overlooks the inlet from its northern shore, and serves as a symbol of the town and keeper of its history. Built in 1860, it has survived the Civil War, multiple hurricanes, and an earthquake. Today you can climb its 105 cast-iron stairs to look out over the city and surrounding natural areas. The lighthouse’s grounds also hold a series of history exhibits and its own hiking trail to a lagoon.
