We've been to the Shawnee Hills area several times and this was by-far our favorite place we've stayed. It was clean, beautiful, peaceful and well stocked with everything you need for your stay. With the long MLK weekend, we split our time between visiting the wineries and enjoying Beth's home. There was an ice storm a few days prior to our arrival, so there were power outage problems. Beth texted me the Ameren info before we arrived back at the home. It was like 'glamping', as we enjoyed the fireplace and the wines we had purchased. I will definitely check Beth's availability the next time we head south. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Victoria is a gem and this place is so special! My family is from Southern Illinois but we mostly all live scattered across the country now. We came together for a funeral and needed to be together for feeling the family support joy and love that our family has always had. This house provided us with exactly what we needed. Plenty of shared space with comfortable seating, privacy in each guest room along with private bathrooms in each room. Gorgeous wrap around porch overlooking the pound! Absolute perfection. A must if coming to Southern Illinois! And Victoria is 4 minutes away if there’s anything you have a question about or need. We enjoyed it sooooo much we plan to rebook for future holiday celebrations together! Truly holds a very special memory for my family now. Thank you!

We loved how the history of the house stayed with it. We loved the fact you left memories of the owner. When we pulled in we thought the house was going to be so tiny and that it wasn't going to work. once we walked in we were totally shocked. There was tons of room, upstairs and downstairs. It was so peaceful and homey.

If you are looking for a nice old house in a neat little town this is it. We had our family visit us from the area and it was a perfect place to host from. The kitchen was well stocked and made cooking a breeze. Also the host was very responsive to any questions we had about the house and the area. We will definitely stay here again if we will be in the area!

This is the funnest Arbnb I have ever stayed in! It was cozy, and an adventure all at once. They made you feel at home, with all the fun things like bikes, and games not to mention the person family items with stories by them. It was just a fun experience! I reached out with a few questions, and got very prompt, kind, and compassionate answers. Thank you!

Ben was great! He was kind, quick to communicate, & so helpful with our accommodations. His place was perfect for my family! I loved how you could shut a door off from the bedrooms and the living spaces & it was so thoughtful to have a dog bed and bowl. I highly recommend it!

Frank and Gail were excellent hosts! The apartment is cozy and full of historic charm! They provided everything we needed and more. They have gone above and beyond to create a comfortable place to call home during your stay. They were super helpful and friendly! My daughter may attend SEMO and if she does, I will definitely be staying again!

Ashley and her lakefront rental were both amazing! She made check in and out so seamless and easy , place was juys wayt we needed As makanda girl I really enjoyed the peaceful private yet safe neighborhood feel a lot It was wonderful to sit on that bench and watch the sunset over the lake and was so serene Hope to stay there again sometime Ashley was great
