Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Iowa City

This is our second time staying at Beth’s place! We hope to come back every year when we visit family nearby. We truly feel right at home. She is so proactive and there really is nothing else you could ever want or need that isn’t already at the Airbnb. Water pressure was great and was hot in the shower, house temp was a good temperature, and the house is so peaceful. Always a great time there!

We found a couple broken utensils and let him know, he was apprentice of us telling him so he could replace for future guests. He was very responsive and friendly. Always love dog friendly places so we can travel with our "kid!" Nick's place was spacious but cozy and we had a great time just hanging out as a family, playing games and celebrating the holidays over a long weekend!

This was such a wonderful stay with family. This beautiful home provides more space than i expected. We were almost sad at the departure so warm and welcoming. The kitchen has to be my favorite because I love to cook for my family. So much to do and close to stores, shopping and getting last minute things you may have forgotten. A lot of things you need are already available to you to use as complimentary. I had no idea I would have brought less as far as real kitchen utensils to linens. It very accommodating for 6 with 3 bathrooms and comfy couches. Wait I lied..the beds were my favorite. Get the best sleep ever... Hint** get the master bedroom and fall in love with sleep. Awesome stay

This is a very peaceful place to spend some time! There was laundry on site and the host was always responsive. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of extra towels. It was quiet at night compared to other places in town that are very close to trains. They were flexible with my check out time. Thank you!

This is the second year we have stayed at Riad’s place to attend an Iowa football game and we will be back! Super clean, great host and great location.

The Airbnb was perfect for our family’s stay. It was nicely decorated, very clean, and had thoughtful touches such as a stuffed animal on the bunk bed and board games. The location was central to downtown Cedar Rapids and there was plenty parking on the street for us to park. We had no trouble accessing the unit and were promptly given a check in code. The house itself had plenty of space and was perfect for a family traveling. Happily would stay here in again!

We had a great stay. Everything was clean and ready to go! We all enjoyed that they had marked the type and firmness of the mattresses, it was nice because everyone could choose which one they wanted to fit their needs.

Very clean, quiet, and cozy home. Bunch of snacks and drinks to choose from and a dozen options of cozy beds to sleep in :)

Great place to stay for any reason! If you need a place to stay on a trip or you just want a weekend away from home. Dave’s place was clean, welcoming, and enjoyable. I definitely recommend staying if you are in the area!!

Great place to stay! I really appreciate all the little touches in this Airbnb (filtered water pitcher, plentiful outlets, well-stocked kitchen). It's also a really nice perk to be able to park my car in the garage! Will definitely stay here again.

Julie was helpful from the start. We were in town from Columbia MO visiting specialists at the hospital for our kiddo, and this place was perfect. We loved that we could have our dog that is such a comfort to him for these kinds of things. The breakfast goodies upon arrival was a nice touch! My kids loved the yogurt, and we appreciated the coffee! 😉

Great stay and very homey feel!

Gloria's place is truly a home away from home. My partner and I stayed for 8 days — most Airbnbs aren't set up for long-term comfort, but Gloria's is! The kitchen was actually a joy to cook in (quality pots/pans and utensils, intuitive layout), warm lighting, soft and sturdy furniture. The shower water pressure is phenomenal. In a time when so many Airbnbs are going for that sterile, post-modern plastic vibe, Gloria's place is refreshingly modest and lived-in. The location is private, quiet and perfect for strolling around the neighborhood, while also being walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend Gloria's place and I hope to stay here again the next time I'm in Iowa City!

The home was perfectly spacious with plenty of room to lounge. The two living areas were robust and had ample seating for the family. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessities for a home cooked meal. The outdoor space is limited however this wasn’t necessary for our trip considering the cold weather. This place is perfect for families who need a space like home. I’d highly recommend!

This was my second time staying at Chandler's place and I loved it again. I previously really enjoyed it in the summer, but the winter stay was still great. The sunroom area is a little drafty as it is over the garage but a new fireplace with remote warmed it up. The rest of the place was cozy and the decor is truly amazing. It was a great retreat for me while visiting nearby family. A nice game of pool and curling up to read in the multiple sitting areas was a great way to spend some downtime. I love being near downtown, but I had to make multiple back and forth trips across town and to the hospitals and the quick access to the interstate was helpful. I was glad for a lack of snow with the steep street, but they did make sure to add salt to the driveway when it needed it. Chandler was again a very responsive and thoughtful host. I reported a couple of minor issues to her and she was quickly on top of them. I would love to stay again when I'm in town!

This little pink retro Air BnB was so cute and spacious. It fit all of my bridesmaids, makeup artist and hair dressers with all the natural lighting to make everyone sparkle. Nikki was so responsive and provided all the information to make our visit so amazing. I highly recommend this little get away to anyone that wants have a wedding / bachelorette party/ girls get away it’s so cute.

We had a quick but wonderful stay! The house is tucked back in a private and safe area! The house definitely was very well taken care of and had all sorts of great offerings! We really enjoyed the ease of check in and the comfortability of the home! Would highly recommend!

Went to Iowa City with my teenage son for Iowa wrestling dual and a wrestling showcase in Coralville. If you're attending a Hawkeye sporting event from out of town this is the place to be. Super cool place that is very relaxing and felt like home. Walkable to Carver Hawkeye and Kinnick. Close to Coralville and all the good restaurants and campus. Couldn't reccomend enough. Easy place to get to, good neighborhood. Will stay again.

We had a wonderful stay. It was a nice, cozy home away from home. The accommodations were exactly as described. Thuy was very quick to respond to our special needs. She was also kind, friendly and compassionate.

We were visiting our daughter in Iowa City but there were other guests so we needed a place that was near but that also would be fun,and give us more room than a hotel room. This condo is was perfect. It was modern, very clean, and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless with a great shower. We didn't cook as we were at our daughter's for meals but the kitchen seemed to have everything one would need. Nice sets of dishes and glasses, and ample cutlery and cookware. One other nice feature of this condo is its location - close to restaurants and shops in the downtown area.

I was a very last minute, day-of stay, Kaleb responded quickly and the place was clean when I got there. Very nice space and the instructions on how to get in were very clear! I would definitely stay again visiting in town, it was not far away from downtown and only 10 minutes to the college, I recommend
