Fantastic place for our annual girls get away! 4 of us girls each had our own place to sleep. Amazing kitchen with everything you need. I loved the open concept with breathtaking views!! I could even keep an eye on my 70 year old Mom who was fishing off the dock while I was busy in the kitchen lol We will definitely be going back ♥️

MacToimin Cottage (Private Hot Tub)

EdRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a wonderful two-night stay at this peaceful Airbnb retreat! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The space was impeccably clean and thoughtfully prepared, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the beautiful babbling brook just steps from the cabin—it added such a calming, tranquil atmosphere and was perfect to listen to while sipping morning coffee. The hot tub was another favorite feature: private, clean, and the perfect way to unwind in the evenings under the stars. The host was communicative and made check-in seamless. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and serene getaway. Highly recommend to anyone looking to escape into nature without sacrificing comfort!

Coastal Cottage Suite On Baddeck Bay

TroyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This place was absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate the rain stayed away until late in the evening so we enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. Hit the town for a relaxing walk before retreating to the chalet for a nice bbq and drinks on the patio as we watched all the boats passing by on the water. The inside was immaculate and the hot tub was an amazing way to end the night. Our host was quick to respond to questions and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Was a great way to spend a 1 year anniversary 😊
An outdoor patio features a table and four chairs, accompanied by an umbrella for shade. A barbecue is positioned nearby. The serene water view of Bras d'Or Lakes is visible in the background, framed by greenery and a light blue sky.

Scottish Thistle

JasonRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This is a great place to relax! Extremely quiet, spectacular view and plenty of space for a family of 4 to 6 to spread out and chill. The private beach is a nice added touch and Baddeck is only a 2 minute drive, but I wouldn’t walk there, cars drive a little fast down that road and there’s no sidewalk. Tyler was a great host, explained everything perfectly, right down to recommending water shoes for the private beach ( which we had). There’s also a nice listing of local places and lots of brochures so you can find stuff to do. It was ~25 degrees when we stayed and it gets nice and cool at night so not having A/C isn’t a problem. There are so many windows that open in so many directions, you’ll catch a breeze.

Magical Memories on the Bras d'Or

GregoryRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Lovely home, privately situated next to the sea. The views were spectacular. The home was very neat and clean and very well maintained. It wasn't too far from the town of Baddeck where we got provisions and visited very good restaurants. We loved our stay at this home. Richard did a good job as our host. Thank you!

Private, Waterfront, Modern,Comfort in Cape Breton

LisaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
A lovely, modern home with a perfect lake view and access to the water! We really enjoyed the design of the home, with tons of windows (but don't stay here if the thought of things watching you from the woods freaks you out! But nothing is watching you...). The living/kitchen area is open and airy, with sliding patio doors that open toward the lake and a deck. Nice wood-burning fireplace. Very functional kitchen, easy to cook in. Well-separated bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms would make this great for a family (or just 2 people, as we were). Infloor heating is nice. Kayaks and other outdoor things available. No TV, but we were OK with that (and used our computer and the fast internet connection when we wanted to watch something). We had not been to Cape Breton before and liked this location - 10 minutes to Baddeck and about 1.5 hrs. to the south end of Cape Breton Highlands National Park (either west or east coast). Lots of hiking near-by, appreciated the host's ideas on that.

• Cedar Peak • 2 Bedroom Barrier-Free Chalet

DanielleRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We stayed a full week at Cedar Peak and really enjoyed our time. The cabin sits hillside on a private lot with incredible views. It was the perfect space to call “home” while we explored the island. The interior is just like the photos. Very thoughtfully designed with lots of conveniences - dimmable lights, lots of electrical outlets, extra pillows, ceiling fans, 3 Smart TVs, folding chairs for the deck, and even a welcome basket of snacks and some basic groceries waiting in the fridge. There was really nothing missing! We visited in late October so many restaurants and shops were closed for the season - just something to be aware of. There are grocery stores nearby, including a small one right across the road. About 3 minutes down the road was a cafe called Cafe Les Suetes - would highly recommend looking them up and stopping in - the best meal we had all vacation! Driving the Cabot Trail, visiting Inverness Beach, and hiking Skyline Trail are all must-do activities nearby.

La Belle Brise-as a two bedroom rental

PhilRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Five stars plus. We’ve stayed at Airbnb’s elsewhere in Canada and in various places in Europe -but this place put the rest to shame. Our super host, Paula, has a keen sense of colour, an appreciation of comfortable furnishings arranged in an artful way and an excellent understanding of what to have on hand, in terms of cooking utensils and accessories, to fully make her house your home. The house, literally sets across the road from a quiet harbour, offers superb views from every window, and is close enough to several towns to fascilitate grocery plus wine/beer shopping. We had a truly delightful week and were sad to say goodbye. Joan and Phil

The house on the lake was just what we needed to enjoy a cousin get-away! The house has plenty of indoor space to socialize and relax. The outdoor space was stunning ~ loons, heron, and otters entertained us in the lake. There are extra bedrooms and bathroom in the converted garage. It is very peaceful and the scenery is beautiful.

Loved everything about the cabin - may need an update for hot plate in kitchen but barbecue worked great. Attention to every detail including farmers matches, little flash lights, & rechargeable night light. We had 2 fabulous campfires, did stargazing & even had a full moon. We also enjoyed several Celtic Colours Festival events!

Sawyer’s Hollow

Picturesque accommodations that were spacious, very clean and totally relaxing. Although it was “in the woods”; it was easy to find and had ample parking. Warm temperatures and sunny skies allowed us to take full advantage of its location - so near to Baddeck and The Cabot Trail. The owner lives on the property and was able to respond very quickly to requests.
