The facilities and surroundings were very clean and wonderful!The manager was also very polite and helpful. It was a little bit far from nearby restaurants and supermarkets, so I had the impression that it was a little difficult to get around without a car when going out to buy things!

The place is great and near muromi station if you’re coming from Hakata. It’s easy to navigate because once you exit, only few walking and you will reach the place. There are also 24/7 family mart store if you want to eat at night. I highly recommend the place for those people who wanted quiet time and only spend the time if you’re planning to sleep after visiting the tourist spots. Also if you’re on a budget, it’s few stops going to Ohori park which is great. And if you’re from muromi station, it’s near the Fukuoka tower. Very nice place.

My husband and I had a lovely one-night stay at Tanabe House. The house is a charming older Japanese-style home with modern updates in the kitchen and bathroom, offering a comfortable mix of tradition and convenience. Despite the chilly night (only 3°C!), we stayed warm thanks to the split-system heating units in both the bedroom and living room. The bed was comfortable, the pillows just right, and the thick blankets kept us cozy all night. The location was serene and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We enjoyed a peaceful walk through the neighborhood, past rice fields and vegetable farms, which was so refreshing. We were especially grateful to Steven, the host, for his quick communication and kind offer to pick us up from Chikuzen Maebaru Station. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil stay in Itoshima. We’d love to return for a longer visit.

It was a very comfortable trip! The BBQ was also fully equipped, and there were dishes and kitchen tools, so all I had to do was prepare the ingredients and seasonings!

It seems that it was renewed a little while ago, and it was even easier to spend time. I think a lot of people came to the island during the Obon season, but the house was quiet and I had a peaceful stay.I'd like to come again.

The place is peaceful and tidy, but it’s freezing cold in winter. Luckily the host are nice and responsive, they provided us two heaters in a short time to make sure we are warm enough. Our family did have a great time here.

What a hidden gem. I stayed here for about a month and found the experience very restorative. Hosts, family, and animals were all great. One of those really rare experiences where it was exactly what you needed. The scenery I was able to see and people I was able to meet due to the nature of the location and hosts were a great way to spend winter. I will say though, it is remote. There is nothing very convenient about the stay but that made every weekend an adventure, day trips to the city are possible with planning. Guests expecting easy travel should consider renting a bike.
