Vacation rentals with lake access in Hyrynsalmi

Our holiday in Lehtikerp was idyllic and we had a great time. It's like a hidden gem. The house, sauna building, and surrounding milieu were all unique, which brought a fabulous ambiance. Everything worked well, there was plenty of room for a larger group, and Kari was a great host. We can recommend Lehtikerppu to others in need of the Kainuu region as well. You won't go into this place with love!

Very nice cottage. The curtain rod in one of the rooms fell as soon as it touched it. There was no baking paper in the apartment. Good location, but limited parking for cars. Sauna small compared to the size of the apartment. We'll definitely be back, though.

Sanni’s place made us feel at home but a far from everyone at the same time. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! The place matched the description for sure but being there made us feel serene, safe and natural. It’s the place you’ve been longing for; being back home with someone you love, happy to see them be back, while being eager to lay in the couch after relaxing together in a nice place. The sauna, the lake, the cottage, it was unforgettable. Thanks for having us!

Staying in this beautiful glass igloo was a magical experience. Although we couldn’t see the aurora that night, the clear sky and the experience of sleeping under the stars in a warm igloo was absolutely sublime. The stay was super comfortable, with parking conveniently nearby and a few restaurants within walking distance. The igloo itself was well-equipped with a coffee machine, utensils for preparing small meals, a comfy sofa, and even a speaker, which added to the ambiance and made the stay more enjoyable. A standout feature was how warm it was inside, even in the freezing outdoor temperatures. The only downside was the communication. While they provided most of the necessary information via email, they forgot to tell us the igloo number. The communication through Airbnb could definitely be improved. If you stay here, make sure to confirm all details in advance, as it might be challenging to get assistance without direct contact with the host.

Maija's place was retro and old-fashioned as described. The house also found everything you need for a few nights' stay, including a small mattress and bedding for the toddler who traveled. Communication with the host was quick and smooth!

Everything as it should have been, clean, and close to services. Suitable for a 4-hour child for a family, everything can be found very close. shop within walking distance and skiing and skiing nearby.

Peaceful stay by the lake near the center of Hyrynsalmi. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay and will come again if we move around the area!

Tidy apartment, with a beautiful location right in the heart of Ukkohalla. Special mention of the good equipment and selection of dishes in the kitchen.

BEST OF THE BEST! Tero is your perfect host, he is friendly, respectful, and so helpful. Minor hiccups during our stay were quickly fixed. Always a pleasure to chat with Tero and to learn about the Finnish culture in that part of Finland. We loved our stay and are looking forward to coming back in the summer!

Thanks! It was a great setting, great and functional apartment, great place and convenient location. The apartment exceeded expectations, plus the fact that you could bring a dog to the stay. The host was friendly and communication with them was smooth.The apartment was conveniently located in the center of Sotkamo and was within walking distance of shops and cafes, among other things. Vuokatti's slopes, Katinkulla Spa, and Suoerpark were a short drive from the apartment. Recommended! 👍🏻👍🏻

Everything was perfect!

We spent a nice couple of days at the cottage. Swim, sauna, and moved nearby. The cottage was close to the driveway, but the sounds of traffic didn't bother you. The neighboring cottage is also very close and the residents were there, but it wasn't a disturbance in any way. Unfortunately, the dock wasn't in place, which made it difficult to carry water to the sauna and swim, but it didn't make it impossible. The sleeping loft mattresses could use a revamp.
