Vacation rentals with beach access in Hvalfjörður

This was a great place to stay. Matthias and Rebekka are nice people, and the apartment looked just like the photos: modern, comfortable, clean, and quiet. Having a washer and dryer was a real bonus. It’s also a wonderful headquarters in Reykjavik … parking is right outside, it’s close to downtown, it’s near a great bakery, coffee shop, several burger shops and a convenience store. Plus, in one minute you can be on the main road out of the city to explore the many natural attractions surrounding Reykjavik. And as an added bonus it’s just a 4 – 5 minute stroll to one of the city’s great swimming pool/hot tub/sauna/steam room complexes. If it’s available, don’t hesitate to book their apartment. (PS … I found that parking in downtown Reykjavik was difficult …. not that many spaces and the parking “zones” were confusing to figure out. If you’re able to, just hop on one of the many electric scooters that are all around and you can be anywhere you want in Reykjavik in 5 minutes.)

Truly a gem just right outside of Reykjavík! It has the peace and quiet of a suburb while being only 15 minutes away from downtown. Sigrún was a wonderful host, super responsive and all-around very helpful. There was coffee and tea, and the baking sheets were pre-loaded with parchment paper, which is a small but appreciated detail! This is a wonderful place to stay if you plan on exploring Iceland or even just need a place close to Reykjavík for business travel!

VERY cute place - a little small but not really an issue as you spend all your time in Iceland outside. beds were the ultimate in coziness and comfort after a long day of walking around!

The apartment was beautiful, walkable and made our stay great! I felt safe walking with my daughter anywhere. Take her suggestions for food, we loved where we ate. The host was so responsive and helpful. The apartment was perfect for our visit and really appreciated it being warmed up and ready for us.

Anthony and Ýr were incredible hosts and their place was an incredible stay—we met Anthony the minute we arrived and he was extremely welcoming and had recommendations for restaurants around the area. We had the BEST meal during our entire time at a restaurant within walking distance thanks to Anthony’s kind recommendation. Then when we had reroute some plans due to road closures, Anthony immediately had suggestions of what to do. On top of being incredible hosts the Airbnb itself was amazing! The heated bathroom floors were definitely a favorite and the rain shower was so relaxing after a day of adventuring. Both bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the kitchen (recently renovated!) was simply immaculate! We truly enjoyed our time in Iceland and Anthony/the Airbnb was a huge reason for that! Already thinking about planning our next visit!

We traveled with an infant and since no one was using the place the day before, Hildur allowed us to come straight from our flight! It was so incredibly nice of them and my daughter appreciated the opportunity to catch up on some sleep. Overall, the place is beautiful, spacious, and had an incredible review. I’d recommend this AirBnb to anyone!

We had a magical time during Christmas at Michelle’s house. The location is idyllic with an exceptional view of the sea and mountain. The place is comfortable, cosy and spacious for the 4 of us. Michelle was very helpful and always responsive to emails and questions. It was the perfect place to be during the holidays and a good starting point to visit the beauty of Iceland. Definitely recommend this place if you want to discover this area.

The most incredible house we have been in, all luxury of details.. there was nothing missing, the house beautiful, the jacuzzi is an authentic madness, we have fallen completely in love with the house!! We will be back for sure!

Lovely views and in a nice quiet neighborhood that is close to town. We loved our stay and would return! Highly recommend!

We stayed wishing to catch the Northern Lights and we were lucky enough to do so each night and be there for a huge solar storm. We ventured out the first night and after that realized we were able to stay comfy at our airbnb and see them both in the front yard and backyard. The house was spacious and our children 7 & 1 loved the books and toys available. We were offered a portable crib and high chair which were convenient. There were plenty of novels for adults and a variety of books on Iceland. There is a washer and large drying rack, dishwasher, and full kitchen which was wonderful since it is a serene spot you can relax and not run down the road 15 minutes for food or coffee. I enjoyed walking the road to the church and admiring the horses next door. The location is remote and going to parks or the city required an hour drive. Our host was gracious and extended our check out which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

This is a beautiful place - peaceful, isolated and modern. We spent a wonderful 36 hours here which will live long in our family memories. Spacious, hot tub, sauna, karaoke room, snow and views without outside noise or disturbance. Gazing at the stars or pondering the glow of the greenhouses, It was exactly what we needed

Cozy and warm apartment, we spent a whole week here and felt right at home. The kitchen is well equipped for a longer stay, the bed is on the smaller side but very comfortable, it was perfect for a couple. The appartement is well heated, which was great after days of exploring in the cold (we even had temperatures of -19 degrees Celsius during our time in Iceland). The view is magnificent and we even got to see the Aurora from our window on New Year's Eve. All in all, we had a great stay and we definitely recommend this during winter.

Eythor’s home is beautiful! 🤩. Love the artwork and decorations. He was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and very quick to respond. The home is located 10 minute walk to Perlan Museum in a quiet area with free street parking. Highly recommend!

The Harbor Apartment was perfect to visit Reykjavik. It’s clean, comfortably furnished, nicely decorated, and wonderfully warm and inviting on a cold January visit to Iceland. The location was unbeatable, just across the street from the scenic old harbor and near plenty of excellent restaurants and steps from a small market for your daily needs. The host provided voluminous tips on getting around and responded quickly with a work-around when we discovered that the Internet network listed in the check-in instructions was down. We would definitely stay here again. Just one small caveat for light sleepers—the bedroom window is located next to the ground floor elevator and you can occasionally hear the voices of people coming and going, or stomping the snow off their shoes before they get in the elevator.

From the moment we arrived it felt very comfortable amd spotlessly clean. Lovely little touches like wine and goodies on offer along with bathroom essentials should you forget any. Didn't make use of the hot tub as we were too busy but lovely quiet spot even though on walking path. You will need your own transport to stay here but the peacefulness made the visit. Salvor was always on hand should you need any advice but everything was already in place. When we visit again I would definitely stay again, beautiful country and beautiful home thank you Salvor

Beautiful new apartment near a bus station. Likewise, you can quickly reach the Skylagoon on foot and from there you can simply enjoy the northern lights. It was a very great apartment and I would book it again right away. 5/5

The place was clean, tidy and spacious! It is walking distance to the lovely Sky Lagoon. It is short driving distance to Reykjavik and other attractions. The host was very responsive and provided all the necessary information for a smooth check-in as well as some additional travel tips! We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend!
