Family-friendly vacation rentals in Honalo

The house was beautiful inside and out. My son loved the pool, which was the perfect temperature. The kitchen was well stocked and the house provided plenty of space for everyone.

Great place for family of 4. We felt completely at home. Would have liked a larger lanai but was fine for the 4 of us. Very nice to supply beach chairs. Beds were very comfortable and loved having the ceiling fans. Kitchen was nicely stocked

There's a reason (actually, a lot of reasons) this place is rated so highly. The house is beautiful and comfortable. We had a few concerns about staying so far from Kona, but it ended up being one of the best things about our trip. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, and there's a grocery store, great food and even shave ice within 5 minutes of the house. The kitchen is very well equipped and clean, and so we ate in fairly often. An unexpected perk was all of the beach toys available to use in the laundry area. So nice to have! The caretaker downstairs is also very quiet, and super friendly. And Mikael is a fantastic host. Yes, there are signs all over the house. Some are helpful and some feel excessive. And it can get pretty warm when it's hot outside (90 in November was surprising!), but neither of those things are enough to remove even half a star from this experience. We've already recommended the house to friends, and will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Sandra's home was very nice and has a beautiful backyard. We rented the downstairs portion (with the private pool). We really appreciated the extra amenities provided (beach chairs, body boards, wagon, cooler). We used all of these items when we went to the beach. The yar d, fruit trees, and view are immaculate. We were able to pick fresh fruit each morning (star fruit, guava, oranges). This is definitely an experience that you can not replicate at any hotel, our family really enjoyed this. Thank you Sandra for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The location of the townhome was perfect for us. Seth is a great host and does a great job of communicating. We will definitely return.

Loved the low key club; not crowded and the staff there was amazing. Food delicious and not overpriced. Residence was clean and comfortable, with well-stocked kitchen. Garage and a parking spot; great for two cars. Everything you need for fun in the sun!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! It's even bigger than we expected, with plenty of space for our family. The location is perfect—just a short walk to Magic Sands Beach. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for the beach, including chairs and towels, and the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking meals. We felt right at home and will definitely be back!

Such a gorgeous home with everything we needed for our family vacation! We checked in at night, and it was hard to see where we were going in the dark but once we got our bearings it was wonderful.

A great condo for your vacation. Walk to the beach and nearby resorts. comfortable furniture and beds. Well equipped kitchen. Great birding from the patio. Close to the community pool and hot tub. The beach club access is a nice benefit.

I can’t say enough good things. We stay in a lot of air bnb”s and appreciate a good thoughtful space and responsive hosts. The location was walking distance to beaches, close to restaurants and shopping. I could run along the ocean in the am. Water excursions are close by too as is the luau. Our 2 bedroom was perfect for my daughters and I. We had privacy yet a shared space to cook and eat together Hosts have everything to make your stay special, snorkel gear, beach stuff, cooler and ice boogie boards even swim shoes if u need. Kitchen was perfect with everything we needed to cook all our meals. Hosts were kind enough to let us wash laundry and let us stay a little extra on our last day so we could shower/change after snorkeling . Rooms were open to ocean breezes/waves or ac did a great job. Wi-fi was good as were tv’s (though we only used once! So much to do!) We so appreciated this place and it really made our stay perfect! I would highly recommend

Jason’s condo was as advertised. Well equipped, clean and spacious with a great view! He was very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here.

This was our third time back and Laura’s place is beginning to feel like our home away from home! It is cooler than downtown making it feel perfect outside and in. The view is lovely as well. There was plenty of room for my 4 adult sons to spread out and stay content. I would definitely come back!

Lorelle’s place was incredible. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable. It felt like a peaceful oasis where we could truly relax. She thought of everything—her personal touches and the well-stocked kitchen made us feel right at home. Lorelle is an exceptional host, even providing fresh fruits and vegetables from her farm and going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. That said, she is very strict about quiet hours, which she takes very seriously. While most places interpret quiet hours as simply being respectful of noise, it seemed like she meant everyone should be in bed by 11 PM. We couldn’t confirm other reviews about the hot water being off after 11, but we did notice there was no hot water late one night. However, it worked fine the next morning. The hot tub also closes at 10 PM, so be mindful of her rules. Despite her strict policies, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. If you follow her guidelines, you’ll have a wonderful, peaceful stay

We love this home so much! This was our second stay at this location and it is just so beautiful and peaceful. The hosts are amazing and the home is immaculately clean and extremely well appointed. Everything we needed was available upon arrival and the proximity to shopping, restaurants and activities are all within walking distance. We booked tons of tours and activities this trip and all were a short drive away. We highly recommend this location! We spent so much time indoors this trip just relaxing, watching movies, cooking and eating. This is one of our favorite places to stay and simply cannot wait to return again and again.

We’ve been going to Fairway Villas for years and this condo is the best places we have stayed. Very conveniently located close to the pool but away from the noise. It is stocked with everything you would need, and decorated very tastefully and pleasantly. Comfy beds, great showers, full kitchen. We had a wonderful stay at Cory’s house in Waikoloa village. It is located in a peaceful suburban setting, about 25 minute drive from Hapuna beach. The house is very comfortable and well decorated, with practical amenities, kitchen equipment, and all that is needed for the beach! We really felt at home!

Ninik’s Airbnb was fantastic, and we loved every minute of our stay! Check-in was easy, and the home was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. The master bedroom, with its large bathroom and walk-in closet, was a highlight. Located in a gorgeous gated community, we enjoyed having the pool and hot tub just steps away—it felt like a resort! The Airbnb came with everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to beach towels and chairs for a perfect day out. We had such a great experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. Thank you, Ninik, for a wonderful stay!

Warren's condo was a great place to stay for our vacation. The property feels like home and all the other guests were friendly and everyone gathers each night at sunset to watch the sun go down. The unit is well stocked for any day trip needs. Warren's instructions were clear and tips around the unit were listed for care of items. Would 10/10 recommend and would stay there again.

We loved our stay in this cute townhome in a nice location at the south end of Alii Dr. The kitchen is well equipped and stocked to cook meals and clean. Two, good sized bathrooms with full, standing showers are perfect for a family of 4. Two good sized bedroom with windows, fans and cold ACs are very comfortable. Good sized living room with TV, sofas, and dining table is perfect. Lanai had everything we needed for the beach outing - chairs, umbrella, beach towels, and snorkeling gear. The complex is in an upscale, well maintained community with tennis and pickle ball courts and a swimming pool. The apartment has all the supplies for tennis, pickle ball, and ping pong. It also has private access to a small, rocky beach with continuous waves and sunset views. The car parking is next to the unit which is convenient for loading and unloading. The unit also has a full sized washer, dryer, and supplies making it super convenient. Overall, we enjoyed the place and its location.

Manini Beach is old Hawaii and the Pagoda House is in a perfect spot in the neighborhood. Set back from the street with beautiful landscaping. The house is charming and perfect for 4 couples celebrating a birthday. So nice to have the swimming pool as an alternative to swimming in the ocean when it gets a bit too rough. and the primary bedroom upstairs is an oasis in itself and a great spot for watching the sunset. We highly recommend the Pagoda House
