Vacation rentals with a kayak in Homosassa

The place was more than we expected. It was so peaceful and great for a morning walk or paddle. The house had all the comforts of home. The hosts were very responsive and made some wonderful recommendations. Peace in Weeki!

House was right on the canal to the river. We kayaked to the park and saw manatees. House was very clean and had everything you need.

We stayed there last March and nothing has changed even after the storm last year the place looks the same and Larry was very helpful, no disappointments I highly recommend Sun Wild adventure.

We had an excellent stay at Joy's place. Everything was perfect, Joy and her family go above and beyond to make this a five star experience. We enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding in the springs, only a 5 minute paddle from the house to Homosassa Spring. My only regret is we didn't stay longer.

We had a great stay! A did a little fishing, swam with manatees, hiked, kayaked and enjoying area restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay in this home! The host was very helpful and responsive. The highlight of our stay was definitely the ability to kayak right out the back door - we paddled out into Mud River Springs and saw manatees absolutely everywhere. It was a magical experience! The yard was peaceful and it was relaxing to sit out with coffee on the deck and watch the wildlife (squirrels, birds, fish). Situated in a small quiet neighborhood (but still close to all the activities we came to the area for), we couldn’t have imagined a more peaceful place to spend our week. We really loved this spot and hope to enjoy it again someday!

We had a wonderful time at this perfectly located home. There were 10 of us total. There was enough space to all be together or places to have alone time. The house was gorgeous, well appointed, very clean, and comfortable. There were a few (very minor) issues I brought to Danon's attention mid week (more of heads of for his to do list for his next guests and no bother to us at all). After making sure it wouldn't inconvenience us, he got them taken care of. I highly recommend staying here. Manatees, the wild life, the people watching on the weekends, back to total serenity during the week... It really is fantastic. We kayaked all over and didn't see a better home we would want to stay in. You won't be disappointed.

Overall, this was a great stay. The house was spacious and clean and had every amenity you would need for an enjoyable stay. My kids loved the secret room upstairs, the kayaks, bikes, and fishing poles. The house is a quick trip by kayak to the Weeki Wachee river. You can easily walk or kayak to the Upper Deck restaurant or there are more options that are just down the road.

We had an amazing 3 days at Sally's place! The house was clean and comfortable and we especially loved the use of kayaks right off the dock. We saw manatees right off the dock two of the days that we were there! We kayaked upstream toward the state park and downstream toward Rogers park every day. Sally recommended bug spray and that is for sure important! We cooked out one night on the charcoal grill, but there are also great restaurants nearby. It's a quick trip to the main road with all the stores you'll need. Sally was very communicative and responded right away to any questions that I had. We would stay here again!

AMAZING. Great hosts, great place! I stayed here by myself and it was heaven on earth. I am a nature lover and this exceeded my expectations. The house & the property are stunning. The house is a lovely mix of tasteful tropical & Victorian decor. The outside is like being in the garden of Eden. So private & peaceful. I was able to meet manatees my first evening taking the kayak out; they were as interested in me as I was in them and came all around me and the baby came up to say hi. It was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had. It was just me and the manatees not another human in sight. The next morning I paddled out again and saw otters playing. I saw turtles, lizards, many beautiful birds, including green heron, great blue heron, and an owl. Coffee in the morning on the patio & a fire at night under the canopy of trees. Close to so much to do- springs, beach, nature parks, but by far the best was being able to paddle pretty much out the back door. I’m so glad I stayed here!!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. I was a little unsure when I saw that it was an efficiency but that all disappeared when we showed up. The house is immaculate and very well set up. The back yard and patio are worth the price alone. We put our boat in at the ramp on the property and left it tied to the dock all weekend (unless we were headed up the river or headed over to Upper Deck for dinner or lunch). Our vehicle and trailer fit under the carport and behind the fence which was a great perk too. Our 8 year old had a blast catching little bluegill and bass under the dock on nightcrawlers from the bait shop atoumd the corner. We will be back and I cannot recommend this place enough!

We had a relaxing month at William's home. It is comfortable and cozy with everything we needed. We loved the lakeside view and getting out in the canoe. Plenty of comfortable seating for inside the house and on the outside patio. The beds were very comfortable. The yard is big and in a quiet neighborhood. Met friendly neighbors. Saw a lot of wildlife-birds, some gators, fish. Sunsets over the lake were beautiful. Had fun discovering shopping in nearby Dunnellon. William was a great host-easy to reach and always kind and helpful. We plan to reserve again!

This place was incredible. I couldn't believe the beauty of the inside and outside. I loved all the colors and decor, the owners really took their time with the details. I kayaked for the first time ever so the kayak launch was incredibly helpful also. I could not recommend this place enough. Thank you to the wonderful hosts as well!!!

Our second year renting for 3winter month and coming again next year. Peaceful relaxing and great location if you like nature.

We had a great time at Brian’s place on the Weeki Wachee! It’s an older home but was recently updated and has all the useful amenities (including 4 kayaks that we had a great time using!). Brian met us when we arrived and gave a quick tour of the space. Everything else was self explanatory. We also really loved the cinnamon bun pancakes at the Silver Dolphin restaurant 5 minutes away!!

We had a great time trading the Indiana cold for manatees, fresh seafood, warm weather and beachside sunsets. The place was perfect with great amenities!

It was a beautiful place to stay. Perfect place to disconnect your self from everything. We love our stay!!! The cabin was just perfect for the 3 of us. Love the River and the screened porch.

We had a great time and particularly enjoyed the free kayaks. All in all great accomodation and we could have easily imagined to stay a whole week.

We had a wonderful time at Casey’s place and were sorry to leave. The house and grounds are simply wonderful and the peace and quiet of the early mornings and evenings in particular was magical. So many birds to listen to and watch, and the little alligator and deer in the forest opposite. We took out the Jon boat and enjoyed the quiet river and explored the surrounding nature areas and forests on walks. The house has everything you need and there are so many places to sit and rest outside. We hope to be back some time.

We love staying at Richard's and Leslie's! Location is perfect; easy access to the community park and river with the included golf cart, kayaks, paddle boards and more. Lovely evenings by the fire pit in the yard, and kitchen has all the necessities. Perfect getaway weekend!

This place was so relaxful and peaceful! The photos did not do the place justice, it was even more beautiful in person!! We enjoyed the backyard with kayaking and fishing off the dock. Thank yall so much!

Leslie was very responsive. The setting is private and the covered deck on rainy days wonderful to relax on. Leslie provided much appreciated extras like healthier cooking pans, sharp knives, a cutting board, and a medicine kit which are not usually provided in my years of experience. A word of caution apparently regarding airbnb policy. Check for potential price changes on your reservation Even IF you are subtracting something!!! Because I didn’t end up taking my dog with (deleting the pet fee), it changed my reservation and a $142.20 increase (county tax fee) was added! 😱

This place is amazing for a family retreat. Very quiet, the river is stunning, you can use the canoes and the kids loved fishing from the deck. Beautiful fireplace, the cabin is equipped with everything you’ll need. Sparkling clean. Absolutely recommended. We will back next year for sure!!!!

The host was amazing. Very responsive! The house was great. A little small, however, perfect for our family of 4. The access to the river is amazing! Awesome view with nature on the other side of the river, not houses. The water was crystal clear. The kayaks were in good shape and fun to use. The only downside is there is not dishwasher if you are going to stay longer, however, we did not mind washing our own dishes. We are already looking at dates to return!
