Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Higgins Lake

We loved our stay at this house. Great location right on the lake, beautiful views and the snow made it even better. The house was as described, clean and very comfortable. We skied 2 days at Schuss and this is a convenient location for that. The dogs had plenty of room to roam the house and were comfortable as well! We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was a very positive one. The hospitality of both the owners and managers was fantastic. Managers lived right across the street which was super convenient just in case they were needed. The home was well furnished, cutely decorated and it was very home like. We had an overall great experience!

This was our third stay and we’ll be back! Cozy house with great location and decorations!

Great place for 3 families. We had plenty of room for everyone. The one room with the bunks and queen is located in the garage but did have a nice heater to keep it warm during our stay. I would note The road leading to the house has a large hill that was very hard to get up with all the snow we got stuck a few times but the neighbors were helpful and showed us their is buckets of sand to throw down next to it. We definitely came on a snowy weekend! Kids had a great time sledding and tubing. Would definitely book again!

There was a classic car show the weekend we stayed and even a parade of cars the night before. Absolutely wonderful stay at the historic pink house.

This location was exactly like the description. I had a couple questions and Michele answered them promptly. Location is close to restaurants. And Meijer grocery store. Well worth clicking the reserve button.

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was so nice and clean and very open inside. Had just about everything we needed for our two night stay. I can't say enough good things about the beautiful property. Loved walking the trail in the woods with our dogs. Wish we had more time, but would love to come back and stay in this home again. Thank you for having us!

My adult family of 8 stayed at the treehouse and loved it! The downstairs garage rec room was a bonus and we loved the hot tub! The house was clean and well stocked w everything u need for a good stay. Location was in walking distance to the lake. Easy check in and out and all questions were immediately answered by the hosts! We are planning a return trip next year!

The cabin was small, but perfect for two! It was a perfectly peaceful and enjoyable for a relaxing few days before Christmas, even had a beautiful tree put up as well! The area was sparse on “activities” other than outdoor activities, but it was a slow paced area that we were able to do some shopping, eating, hiking, and driving around! Overall a perfect little space for a weekend getaway, Will definitely be back!

Rachel was a great host. Very clean & well taken care of. Close & easy excess to orv/snowmobile trails. Plenty of parking & close to town. Will stay there again.

This home was very clean, cozy, and inviting. We loved the little games scattered throughout the house! The hot tub was amazing after a day of outdoor winter fun and the wooded trails were a nice, quiet retreat.

Getting to this home was fairly easy. Our only problem was unlocking the door. The provided code did not work. But we called the provided number and the code was changed. The new number was successful. From that time on we had no difficulty. The home was comfortable. The wall between the living room and master bedroom did not absorb the sound of the TV in the living room. So those of us that stayed up later could not use the TV. This was remedied by using ear plugs. Basically there were no other areas of concern. The Traverse City area had numerable places to explore and the Fall colors were glorious. As a lighthouse lover, I was happy. The house felt secluded yet it was close to many shopping areas. The woods toward the back of the home had the most gorgeous trees and had a "haunted" appearance. That made me happy. I loved our stay. Thanks Katy!!!!

This place was perfect for our friends get together. Comfortable, clean, quality Airbnb. Responsive host. Hot tub, a nice extra. looking forward to renting again for our next cross country ski trip.

We loved our snowy stay in this A-frame! It was a bitterly cold weekend but being here was cozy and peaceful. The kids had fun with the games and we all enjoyed the hot tub. We got to see Elk in nearby Gaylord as well! Everything was exactly as listed with all the makings of a fantastic getaway. Katie was responsive with recommendations and there were laminated guides and label throughout the home to make navigating things super easy. The cabin was pristinely clean! We would love to come back again if ever in the area and highly recommend this haven in the woods!

Not only was this peaceful gem just like the listing. BUT the record collection and books are AWESOME!!!! The pet friendly fenced in back yard was spacious and well lit for our Great Dane puppy to run a frolic to her little hearts content. Cant build build a fire?(even though there was ample wood supplied)?? There’s a gas table top fire.. don’t feel like going out??? I made a homemade breakfast pizza and had all the cooking utensils I needed… I felt soo at home and at peace. And enjoyed a trip to Petosky and POND HILL FARM and the tunnel of trees. I JUST need to know one thing??? How much is rent, and when can I move in??

We loved our stay at "the cabin!" Lots of room and personalized space for those who wanted it. Good bathroom space and really appreciated the laundry and kitchen areas.

We stayed for 8 nights. EVERYTHING in the house was as described in the listing - so spacious and comfortable! Everything worked well, and even the pots and pans were in good condition. The wall of one-way windows in the great room was awesome! It was like being in nature without actually being in nature :-). You could almost reach out and touch the family of deer and birds that stopped by each day. I set up my workstation there (wifi worked great) and even enjoyed having to work! One of my favorite parts of the experience was stepping outside into complete silence! Such a welcome change to the city. We also loved the snow! We were so pleased that Dustin's guy came by promptly to clear the driveway each time more snow fell. All in all, this was one of our most relaxing, picturesque, and care-free vacay's. Thanks, Dustin, for sharing your lovely home! It's on our "repeat list" for sure.

Great place for the family. Plenty of things to do at the house. Also not too far from Traverse City or Boyne Mountain. Would definitely stay here again!!

Timothy was an excellent host. He was very responsive to my initial questions as someone who is newer to renting an AirBnB and was quick to help when I called about an issue with one of the smoke alarms on arrival (extremely minor, just a faulty battery, but I wanted to make sure to ask before deactivating it). Overall a nice place to stay, I would definitely return in the future!

Walk out basement to the few steps to get to the beach area. Well stocked kitchen. Recommend bringing your own water if desired ( well water I believe) . Beautiful sunsets. Game room was fun .. bring quarters to play though . Highly recommend

Absolutely loved staying here! We just did a three day two night stay. Being able to leave our dog at the Airbnb while we went to Boyne and Gaylord was perfect. The fireplace was so nice to turn on while warming up after spending the afternoon at Boyne. Our hosts were quick to respond and help us with anything we reached out about. They absolutely went above and beyond. We are already talking about potentially coming back in the fall some time.
