Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hedmark

We used the house with 2 adults and our dogs. The cozy yet upscale amenities made it easy for us to feel comfortable right away. With moderate winter temperatures, it was not so often necessary to light the fireplace; prepared firewood would have been available. The underfloor heating has kept the house at a very pleasant temperature. We had our own ski equipment with us, but Svein had also offered us his equipment and that of his wife. Very nice contact with Svein.

Large nice cabin with plenty of space, we were 11 people from 2 to 78 years, everyone enjoyed! Cross-country tracks just a few 100 meters away, and also in the mountains at pellestova. 7 minutes by car to the lift in Gaiastova. Very well equipped cabin! Here we would love to come back.

We enjoyed our brief stay at Kristian’s apartment. It was a bit tricky to find the apartment and it’s up five sets of stairs (we left luggage in the car!) but we appreciated the thorough instructions Kristian gave us when he greeted us upon arrival (we weren’t used to meeting the host - that’s not really done in the US). Amenities were nice and we’d definitely stay again!

Me and my partner stayed here for a weekend escape and it did not disappoint, Øyvind was a great host. Very responsive to any quires we had. The cabin was cosy and warm and had everything we need. Would 100% be returning, Such a beautiful country and a beautiful Cabin.

We had a great time staying at Cristoffer’s lovely flat. Everything was as shown in the pictures, the location was great with really close public transport links and plenty of shops bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a comfortable, easy and clean place to stay in Oslo.

We were 6 adults and 3 children aged 2-6 years and there was really good space. Lovely cabin is on 2 levels with 2 sofa areas, so not everyone has to be in the same room all the time. The rooms are well located far apart, so you don't disturb each other. Great beds, both in terms of sizes and comfort. Well-equipped kitchen with large pans and both small and large pots. Lots of cutlery and crockery. We cooked from scratch every day and we didn't need anything at any time. All in all, a lovely week in a lovely cabin. If we come back to Trysil, we will definitely try to rent this cabin again.

Very lovely stay, hope to come back one day ! The house is really magical and everything was as clean and functional. The water has a bit of a taste, like some other guests noted, so we brought a few bottles with us just for drinking and it was no problem. Bente left us some delicious home-made biscuits for our arrival. It was easy to access and park. It snowed a lot, but everything was regularly plowed. Thank you for everything !

Lovely apartment in a great location for walking or grabbing public transportation. Anna Grete and Knut were both communicative and helpful with local suggestions. It’s directly on a park, which resulted in a front seat view of fireworks on New Year’s Eve. We thought it was great but it would have been rough if we’d had a dog or child who was frightened of them.

We felt at home in Bredo's cottage, very cozy, practical, equipped with the necessary chalet - clean - one beautiful one. Close to the Lyzarian foot, with a beautiful view and in a quiet environment. The whole area is like paradise on earth. We'd love to come back again. Thank you Bredo:-)

We were here for the 3rd time!! Really lovely place and perfect with kids who love to be out in the snow and toboggan, play, dig, make fires, enjoy the warmth and old idyll of the cabin. Here's a rare silence that's worth gold. Really sweet and family hosts.

Nuno was a very welcoming person, in fact, possibly the warmest welcome we have ever received whilst staying somewhere. He was incredibly communicative and would answer and of our questions with a very fast and informative response. The house was modern, comfy, warm and an excellent atmosphere. The facilities were top notch and very well maintained. Nuno has experience living elsewhere and has settled in Norway, pouring his heart and soul into this project. We opted to have the evening meal and the breakfast. Evening meal consisted of several starters, followed by a family recipe soup, then a cheeseboard to finish. Breakfast had so many options I simply couldn’t name them all but was excellent in every respect. Nuno uses nothing processed, everything is made 100% from scratch and with exceptional attention to detail. Nothing is enough, we were offered tea/coffee on arrival, help carrying out suitcases etc. Nunos food portions are as large as his heart and we would happily stay again

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is stunning, had everything we could need and the hosts were lovely. They helped with local recommendations as well as making sure we had all the information we needed for the house. Not to mention the gift of some mixture for us to make traditional waffles! The train station is just a few minutes' walk. The kids particularly loved the pool and table tennis table, and I really enjoyed the beautiful walks that are possible from the property. All in all a five star stay.

A great villa with lots of places to stay. Especially great: the two huge Lego boxes 😍 The fact that the two bathrooms have separate entrances, but are only separated from each other by a shower curtain, took some getting used to. However, this was also described in the property description. Oyvind was also very helpful in finding a ski school or recommend restaurants! All in all, a TOP place to stay. Highly recommended!

Beautiful apartment with fantastic view overlooking the harbour area. Easy walk to Opera House, and then into town. Great communication from hosts and flexibility with check-in when our flight was cancelled. Thanks for a great stay!

We were a large family group gathering for our first time in Oslo. The island location is gorgeous and the house is both beautiful and well suited to a family group. Catherine was proactive in getting our groceries delivered so we were comfortable despite no stores on the island. We also had free use of their boat which allowed us to arrange our schedule as we liked. Pacing with our large family group meant accounting for two shuttle trips to get all of us across to the mainland. The 31 bus line was close and frequent for getting us into Oslo. We bought a week pass but no one ever seemed to check the bus ticket. The house itself was well equipped with everything kitchen, fireplace and gorgeous outdoor space. It was a little cool and rainy for the pool but the hanging outdoor bed was a favorite spot to hang out.

Great host, great stay, exceeded expectations. We were really happy with the place, it had plenty of room and beds for our guests. There is room for 2-3 cars at front, could not hear any road noise so it was peaceful, plenty of bedding and everything felt clean and fresh. Kids loved using the trampoline and playing some of the many games that are around. Kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and everything you need. Iron and ironing board was handy as well as washing machine. Gym was a nice to have with TV whilst you work out. The host was really quick to respond when we had questions and they were very professional. Overall, we loved our stay here!
