Great Location: Volcano to Hilo

ScottRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Really enjoyed our 3 night stay here! Kerinne and Mike were wonderful hosts, so friendly, very responsive and accommodating. Very close to the Volcano Nat’l Park. We were even fortunate to see an amazing eruption thanks to Kerinne alerting us! Also a great location for visiting Rainbow & Akaka Falls, Black Sand Beach, and we even made it to the Kona side of the island. Place was very clean and plenty of room for 3 adults. Beautiful property, quiet location away from street traffic, and we were even treated to their homegrown sweet tangerines when we arrived. We would stay here again and highly recommend to others!

Doug was an amazing host!! He knew we wanted to see the active volcano and alerted us to when it erupted which allowed us time to go see it.

Waiola Guesthouse & Zen Garden

AndreaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place is so magical! The pictures don’t do it justice. If you love nature, you will love this place. So lush and green, really private as well. Lots of birds, geckos, a donkey grazing around & some pigs in the distance. The interior space is really well laid out and feels spacious for a studio. Lots of big windows to enjoy your surroundings and a couple of nice outdoor seating areas. I saw there were 2 snorkel masks and 2 beach chairs available. The kitchen had everything you would need in terms of pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc. When I was there they only had a bit of instant coffee, so you might want to bring your own tea or coffee. David & Wendy were really kind and flexible at check-in. I wish I stayed longer!

Coffee Farm Retreat

NellRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
It’s been a few weeks since we left Roy and Joy’s oasis, my husband, our two boys, and their girlfriends still find ourselves reminiscing and sharing photos from our incredible stay on the farm. From picking fresh tangerines each morning for homemade orange juice to cooking meals with produce from the garden while watching the sunset, every moment was cherished. Sitting out on the lanai, enjoying the breeze, the birds, and the stunning views, a the perfect way to unwind after a day filled with Island adventures (Kula Kai Cave tour, Manta Ray Night Swim, Hilo, Black Sand Beach...Captain Cook, Poke Poke Poke, HICO, Gypsy Gelato etc etc)..... Beyond the beauty of the place, Roy and Joy’s hospitality made it even more special. They are truly wonderful hosts, and our family will always remember this experience. Thank you for sharing your home with us Roy and Joy - it'll be tough to top any of this!! Nell, Joe, Matt, Aeden, Anysia, and Emily

Big Island Cottages #1

BrianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I had a short but nice stay at this cottage. It was a really nice chance to check out another island due to it's southern location we had about equidistant drives to Kona and Hilo which worked for the activities we had planned. It's a great space, that we didn't take too much advantage of because we were out exploring most of the time. I did however really enjoy the peaceful mornings there. Got to watch Saffron Finches in the trees each morning.

Staying in Haiku on the north shore of Maui was a totally different Maui experience than Kihei or Wailea. The hill country was peaceful, lush, green, and occasional rain shower made it all the more beautiful. Dave and Natalie were great hosts and had everything we needed for a family of 5 to have a relaxing time. The wrap around porch was a favorite hang out spot for the family during down time and meals. Would definitely stay here again.

Garden Setting with Ocean views in Kealakekua

MaryAnnRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I can’t say enough good things about this place! Todd and Elvira were very welcoming and even shared some produce from their farm with us. The place is beautiful and peaceful. I appreciated that it was near everything we wanted to do on the Kona side of the island, yet not in the super touristy/overpopulated areas. My kids loved playing on the swing in the backyard and playing with Bella the dog. It was an idyllic place to stay on our vacation. Thanks so much, Todd and Elvira!

Charming 2-bedroom cottage with large screened lanai and unique view of Kealakekua Bay

LoriRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place was stunning. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things about this place. Every evening I was gifted with an incredible sunset. The songs of the frogs lulled me to sleep each night only to wake up to the songs of the birds in the morning. The property is not only lush and green but isolated, private and wonderfully peaceful. The local Kona Only market on Sunday, the poke shop down the street, the local Hawaiian lau lau shop and the excellent Coffee Shack restaurant leave you missing nothing from the tourist center of Kailua Kona except the crowds, cars and hustle and bustle of a crowded tourist center. Great snorkeling and beaches within 15 minutes.

Eco-Farm Tropical Modern Loft

RodneyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We absolutely loved our stay in this little paradise. Jared’s place is so beautiful and much more spacious than the photos suggest. We loved the gardens and the outdoor space and the overall indoor/outdoor feel. Jared was super responsive and helpful to our messages. We loved the welcome fruit and veggies, and the coconut water and milk were wonderful. The kitchen was super clean and well-stocked, and we had everything we needed there. The location is wonderful: walking distance to the most amazing beach (Kehena) and a really fun celebration on Sunday at the nearby community park. We were so sad to leave and will definitely be back.

Kanaho Place in Holualoa

mayRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Erin & Rogers place was a nice and cozy home to stay nestled in a quiet (other than the sounds of nature 😊) and private neighborhood. When you're outside you can hear all the coquis but you can't hear them when you're in the home. home was nice, cute, clean, has everything you need, and she even provided coffee and tea. Home felt cool, maybe cause its up on higher elevation. So, the fan was sufficient enough to keep the home cool all day and night. There is a little dining table set on the balcony. We wondered if theres an ocean view or city view from the if all the trees/bush were cut short. That would be a great view from the balcony. Both Erin and Roger are very friendly and responded to all my messages/questions quick. you are driving on kind of a windy road to get to and from home so if you're not familiar with the area just drive slow. And no or not much street light. So, road is dark at night. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Family Suite Farm Stay in Kohala

KarenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We are back to visit Starseed Ranch again and again! This time we stayed in the Ohana Suite with a private bathroom and kitchen. The room was very large and beautiful with sliding screened doors and windows with a private sitting area. If you want to get away from it all and stay in gorgeous surroundings this place is it! The area near the Pololu Valley Lookout is completely magical and Starseed Ranch has its' own magic within it. The hosts are wonderful and the grounds are gorgeous with outdoor eating and sitting areas that include an outdoor gourmet kitchen as well. The yoga room that sits near the creek is a wonderful space to practice or relax in while taking in the breeze, listening to the birds, and the water running along the creek. The stars at night are amazing. We will be back every year to stay at Starseed Ranch as there is no place as magical as this. Thank you Dash and Erika!

Dragonfly Healing Farm

ChristineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It was a nice place. Pretty view! Cold in the mornings, we used the space heater. The neighbors were a little noisy, someones dogs were barky too. Prepare with a small cooler if doing day trips, for beach time, there isn't one to borrow.

KathyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A wonderful, cozy home-away-from-home. Beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything we needed (including beach chairs, umbrella and cooler). The bed was very comfy too. Quiet, peaceful - a wee bit of paradise. Watching the sunsets over the ocean from the gazebo was an awesome daily event too. Mahalo, Donna and Robbie, for sharing your lovely home with us. 🌺

Lynn's Airbnb is a private, quiet space in a semi-rural family neighborhood. It's beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, and has a kitchen fully stocked with utensils, towels, gadgets, and everything you'll need to feel comfortable. Lynn provided lovely beach chairs, a fabulous beach umbrella, a cooler, and cheerful beach towels for us to use. I really enjoyed this space, along with the beautiful patio. Views from Lynn's property are unbeatable! The neighborhood is quiet, lush, and green. It's a welcome space away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona, but amazingly close if you want to go anywhere downtown. I also appreciated the fast, reliable WIFI. Lynn is also a very professional host who is proactive, responsive, welcoming, and very gracious. I highly recommend Lynn and this Airbnb, and would stay here again if I have the opportunity. THANK YOU!

MikeRating, 5 stars5 months ago
What a peaceful, restful retreat to return to after adventuring around the Big Island! We loved the airy spaciousness of the main rooms, the sweet bedroom with surprisingly large walk-in closet, the bed with its gauzy white canopy and view of the Milky Way, the tasty tangerines and lemons just outside the front door, and the outdoor shower which waters the citrus grove. Thanks Matt and Rose for providing such a tranquil, nourishing space. Would happily stay here again. J.T. and Mike

Volcano Ranch House

StacyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The photos do not do this place justice! It’s absolutely gorgeous… a peaceful, quiet, treehouse in the mountains. We had magical, mist filled sunrises among the goats and were lucky enough to experience a Kīlauea volcano eruption, able to hear and see the red glow from the property. A quick 10 min drive to the National Park entrance had breathtaking, once in a lifetime eruption viewing. We also took advantage of the adorable Lili House Farm across the street with a private tour of their farm full of animals like kuni kuni, tortoise, donkey, geese, rabbits, chicken, quail. Such a great family farm.

What a great stay! Nice and private - the ocean view and sunrises were perfect! The porch and outdoor eating spaces were awesome. The house was clean and had everything we could think of that we’d need. And that pool was pretty snazzy, too! Everything was just perfect.
