Great Location: Volcano to Hilo

MarshaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed here for 3 nights . It was the perfect size for 4 adults. It’s in a quiet area, neighbours close but not loud. Loved the animals in the backyard Perfect location if you want to check out both the volcano and Hilo, and close enough to local grocery stores to stock up. Not fancy ( we don’t require that) but very cozy and comfortable.

Ocean View with a view

Enjoyed my stay. Perfect for exploring that area of the Big Island. I hiked in Volcanoes NP and explored black sand beaches. Even saw Green Sea Turtles. Kitchen was adequate for cooking and rooms were comfortable.

Waiola Guesthouse & Zen Garden

KathleenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It was a short stay for me, but wished I could have stayed longer. I was appreciative of David meeting me at the highway with his flashers on since it was dark when I arrived. This is such a quiet peaceful place. Perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. I will definitely try to make it back. The fresh fruit from the farm was a nice touch. (And delicious!) Mahalo and Aloha a hui hou! 🌺

Coffee Farm Retreat

AlfiyaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Meeting Roy and Joy was one of the highlights of our vacation. They are such kind and welcoming people, we were really honored by their company. They made sure to meet us in person on the morning of January 1st, shared lots of fruits with us and really were just open to get to know us. It was humbling and beautiful. The house was comfortable for us and had everything we needed (beach chairs, cooler). Their coffee Ro-Jo Kona coffee is really good too, make sure to buy a pound from them :) We had a Jeep wrangler and the road was just fine, we actually enjoyed the bumpy ride because of beautiful surroundings and also free fruits laying on the side of the road, you bet we picked a few grapefruits. I hope to see you again, Roy and Joy. Aloha!

Big Island Cottages #1

RenéeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cottage was perfect for our family. A bit far if you have lots of activities in Kona but really close to the black sand beach and green sand beach and not too far from the volcano park. My family doesn’t like being in crowded areas so this was perfect for us.

Private Paradise Organic Farm Stay with Ocean View

JenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Krista’s place was absolutely perfect for our family vacation and our first visit to the Big Island. The surrounding farm, lush banana trees, and soothing sound of frogs at night created a serene and authentic atmosphere. We loved the gracious outdoor living space and the peaceful neighborhood. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked for preparing meals, and the views were simply stunning. We especially appreciated that the area felt local and not overly touristy.

Tiny home in Captain Cook

Farm style tiny house in beautiful Captain Cook.

PeterRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Great and very cute place. Fully equipped kitchen and nice veranda to see the sunset and the tropical gardens. Everything felt new and was extremely clean. Outside bathroom so you get to see the stars/ocean from the shower. The house is off grid and therefore has no WiFi and no TV, which for us added to the charm. Because of the various birds and frogs it can get a bit noisy during night time, but that’s what you get in the tropics.

Garden Setting with Ocean views in Kealakekua

AshleighRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The stay was great for our family, it had everything we needed, including pack and play and highchair for our youngest. The kids loved feeding the chickens, we loved seeing the sunset over the ocean. Spacious, clean, comfortable beds. It was great to have everything we needed for the beach as well. Todd told us some great history about the area, and guided us to a family friendly beach, wonderful host, wonderful stay.

Eco-Farm Tropical Modern Loft

JenniferRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I stayed 10 days at the loft and had an incredible time!!! Jared was very helpful, friendly and responsive. The loft is even better in person and the lanai is a very relaxing place to spend time reading a book, eating or napping. I felt very safe here traveling alone. There were some other guests for part of my stay and everyone was friendly and respectful. The location is hard to beat! Super close to the beach, hot pools, yoga and dancing. The kitchen is well stocked and some yummy produce and eggs were provided from the farm. I used the sauna almost every day as well as the yoga mat provided. This property is a great place to create your own retreat! I highly recommend and look forward to returning!

Kanaho Place: Holualoa Guesthouse

NicoleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Nice private place high up in the hills! The beaches down below were nice and warm for december, but it was nice and cool at Erin's place! The hosts were very responsive whenever we had questions and helped us find cool local spots to try out. the home itself was lovely and some many windows! The patio hathenlovely view. Learned that the frogs that sing all night are called Coqui, but you can't hear it at all from the inside so it wasn't a bother. Thank you Erin for the wonderful stay, and I hope we may have the chance to come again in the future!

Family Suite Farm Stay in Kohala

The Starseed ranch was very well maintained. The orchard was very beautiful and with a variety of fruit trees. It is a very serene place and the Yoga room with the picturesque background of the mountains was what we were longing for. It was a great place that we hope, we get to go back and spend some more time to relax and rejuvenate.

Holualoa Sunset Cottage

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
When we booked our family vacation to the Big Island we wanted to be surrounded by nature and Michael’s place had exactly that. It is located off the grid with jungle like surroundings but still offers an ocean view. Our kids loved exploring the yard and hearing all the nature sounds at night. This location was very peaceful and private. We really enjoyed our stay!

We loved this spot! We slept amazingly with the windows open and the fan on in December. The kitchen had everything we needed pan and utensil wise for breakfast at home and grilling out. We loved the porch for morning coffee, afternoon nap, sunset cocktails and grilling and chilling. This was a great home base for our itinerary!

2 Bedroom in the Kona Hills on a Coffee Farm

WhitneyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved our stay at Kendall’s place! The location was so private, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. We had lots of space to spread out and the kitchen and bathroom were very clean and easy to keep clean during our stay. All five of us loved Meow Meow the cat and enjoyed giving her treats from the adorable vending machine outside. It was a huge bonus for us that there were boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, and beach towels (and more) available for us to use during our stay. Kendall was a great host, communication was fast and clear, and the directions we recieved before arriving made finding the place and checking in a breeze. We also enjoyed learning more the family’s coffee farm and took a few bags home with us. Already looking forward to the next time we visit!

Best location, Discounts for long term rentals SH

MikeRating, 5 stars4 months ago
What a peaceful, restful retreat to return to after adventuring around the Big Island! We loved the airy spaciousness of the main rooms, the sweet bedroom with surprisingly large walk-in closet, the bed with its gauzy white canopy and view of the Milky Way, the tasty tangerines and lemons just outside the front door, and the outdoor shower which waters the citrus grove. Thanks Matt and Rose for providing such a tranquil, nourishing space. Would happily stay here again. J.T. and Mike

If you are looking for a peaceful get away, this house ticks all the boxes! The house is so incredibly peaceful & quiet, very spacious and super clean. Our first Christmas on the big island was a huge success for our party of 6 plus baby as cooking was a breeze due to a large, well equiped kitchen. We really didn't have any issues..loved our stay...Mahalo Suzy & Peter
