Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The home is warm, cozy, and the beds are very comfy. One of the highlights was definitely the two adorable cats – they were an absolute joy! We love Mangu and Pangu 🩷 I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay in Rotorua!!

great spot and central

We had an amazing stay, sitting on that beautiful deck looking out at the ocean was a total reset for me and we definitely intend on making this our regular stop. The place was spotless Merilyn & David were awesome hosts, easy to contact & friendly. If you’re considering booking this place go for it, it’s stunning

This place was excellent. Perfect for a group of kids - lots of Lego, books, and other stuff for them to play with. And super close to Mangawhai Heads town.

Nicola went above and beyond for me and my friends for my 40th birthday. The house has so much character and so much to do. The tennis court and swimming pool were an added bonus on top of everything else. The house had everything we needed. Great place for everyone to enjoy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The tennis court and pool were well used. Lots of space to play other lawn games. The pizza oven and smoker were fantastic. Water pressure was great. Far enough away from town for some peace, but close enough to travel to get the essentials. The only downside was a little bit of road noise at certain times of the day.

Suzy’s beach house was an amazing getaway for our family. Lots of space and the views were amazing. Suzy has spent a lot of energy making the place feel like a home. She was also very available for questions. I hope we can stay again in the future, thanks Suzy!!

We spent NYE at Agata's place and had a wonderful stay. The accommodation is very modern and clean and just recently built. You also have an outside kitchen and a beautiful landscape around the house. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. If you look for a quiet place away from the rush of the city, you're just right here!

Great place, surprised to find such a beautiful place and space in the heart of Mt Albert. This would be the best 1 bedroom I've stayed in, in terms of design and flow. Great outdoors area and much better than any 1 bedroom hotel. Well done and will be top of mind if I ever need a short central stay.

Peter’s AirBNB is gorgeous and well stocked. He was friendly, responsive, and on premise much of our stay (which is a private section of his home), but also great about giving us privacy. We especially enjoyed the pool and charming garden spaces - as well as the breakfast food and tea/coffee provided. A few notes that weren’t fully clear to me before arriving: >Washer is on site but generally not for guest use (though we got the OK to do a couple loads when we asked) > There is no living room or indoor common area of the Airbnb space. > There are gorgeous outdoor spaces with shade covering to enjoy for meals at home - but only bedroom/hallway space available indoors for “hang out space” > The Rotary walk area is easily accessible from this space - and the views are even better than the pictures :)

Really enjoyed my stay, perfect location if you want to be close to the centre of Howick. Clear instructions, private. Peaceful, nice quiet Aircon, super comfy bed and pillow. Has everything you need. Very organised, well thought out. Good communication, Ali really cares about his guests having a great stay. Awesome value, I highly recommend this Airbnb.

This was an amazing place to stay, hosted by fantastic people. It is spacious and very well-resourced, and the enormous garden/grounds (which we were encouraged to explore) were out of this world. The hosts were extraordinarily friendly and welcoming, and truly went the extra mile in so many ways - beautiful flowers and bowls of fresh fruit from the garden (plums, avocados, cucumbers, passion fruit and apples) on arrival; intelligent and open conversation throughout; the arrival of warm pancakes one morning; and compassionate understanding of one of us being ill and readily extending check out times. Finally, there were the large and spotless swimming pool and brilliant hot tub - we delighted in viewing across the Bay of Plenty to the mountains on the Coromandel Peninsula from the hot tub. I would unreservedly commend this property for anyone looking for an outstanding and relaxing stay and, if we ever return to New Zealand, we will make every effort to come here again.

A delightful quiet rural property away from the rush of traffic on SH 1, yet only moments to go down the drive and rejoin it. Great location for stopping on a North/South trip. Anthony was the consummate host also, the fresh fruit from your trees was added bonus. Yummy. We all loved the massive grove of trees at the rear of the property so many birds to watch. Thank you Anthony and Dianne for sharing this wonderful spot.

My partner and I loved our stay here. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and felt right at home. Loved the aesthetic of the home as well and also the additional food, fruits upon arrival. We also got to stay a bit longer then our normal checkout which was nice 😊 Thank you Katriona we absolutely would love to come back here again ❤️

Oh my goodness, what a stay! We loved staying at Rest at Rahu! Corrie's instructions were very accurate to find the spot and she kindly left us some brownies and breakfast bits in the fridge. The location is second to none!!! View was stunning and outside bath was such a luxury!!! We'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Great view, lovely tiny house with everything one needs for a short stay. Corinne was very friendly and did everything to make our stay pleasant.

Staying at the log cabin was amazing! Loved being able to have a fire outdoors at night, loved how close the waterfall swimming hole was (such a cool thing to do on a hot summer day!), heaps of space for the dog to run around and a very comfortable bed! Loved every minute!
