As described, the house sits alone on a peninsula in the lake. The last 3 km lead via a forest path (easily accessible by car). The property offers ample space for activities of all kinds. Game and sports equipment is available but partly already heavily used. The house and other buildings are very nice and well appointed. Description and illustrated instructions for all devices are present. Everything works and there were no problems at all. Wi-Fi Internet is available and sufficient but not particularly fast. If several people want to stream, it's not enough. Outside Wi-Fi is available according to the description but did not work during our visit. A private jetty leads to the beautiful, clear lake. The boat is large enough for 4 people Only the provided (paid) motor is somewhat undersized. Rowing is sometimes faster😁. Overall a wonderful stay in the Finnish forest.

We can warmly recommend - a beautifully decorated cottage. We saunas and swims, the kitchen was well equipped. Very high quality accommodation and communication with Tina went well.

We spent 12 wonderful days in Petra’s villa and arrived just in time for Christmas. Petra welcomed us with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and thoughtful welcome gifts – even for our two furry friends. Such warmth and attention to detail are truly rare! The villa with its sauna and whirlpool was perfect for slowing down and relaxing. The lake, the sauna, and the villa were an absolute delight in the snow and freezing temperatures – a true peak of natural beauty. Everything was exactly as described, and the previous reviews are spot on – all the praise is absolutely deserved! Firewood for the fireplace and sauna was readily available, and there was nothing we missed during our stay. Petra was always prompt and helpful in answering any questions. Her recommendations for excursions were fantastic and enriched our time even more. Warm greetings from Germany – we will definitely be back! Thank you for everything, Petra!

Great stay for the second time at this lovely summer house!

We had great weather and even when it stormed the location is so peaceful and beautiful we enjoyed that too. The place is not updated or designer trendy but we liked the laid back feel of everything. It was July but everywhere was remarkably empty. We only saw a few other people and a couple of boats on the lake through the whole week. Puumala has everything you need. Also, check out the rock paintings nearby - they are fascinating and in wonderful locations.

Wonderful place, beautiful house with funny details. Nice environment with private beach. Spacious and comfortable house, perfect for family get together. Working kitchen, with enough of everything. It was an experience to stay here. The hosts great, I admire all the work they put in this unique place.

Paradise on Earth! Our stay at this beautiful lakefront property in Kangasniemi was nothing short of perfect. The location is incredibly peaceful and private, offering a true escape into nature. We loved having not one, but two saunas to enjoy—the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring the surrounding area. The house itself was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Waking up to serene lake views and being able to take a quick dip after heating up in the outside sauna was a highlight of our trip. One thing to note: linens and towels aren’t included, so be sure to negotiate those with the host beforehand if you need them. If you’re looking for a place to relax and recharge in total tranquility, this is the spot. We can’t recommend it enough!
