Vacation rentals with a kayak in Hartford

This was a great house for us.! We had 6 adults and 3 children, and everyone loved the house. There were wonderful games for the kids and nice spots for the adults to gather in the evening. We used the house over Thanksgiving when we had dinner with nearby family, and the location was great for us. We had a snowstorm and were able to park 2 cars in the garage which was a big help. We had several questions and the response to my emails through airbnb were very quick and helpful. The house was very clean. We loved it!

Wonderful stay. The home is so comfortable with everything we needed. Quiet and peaceful. We loved walking by the lake in the morning, kayaking and swimming. Had a couple of questions during our stay and Janice was very quick to respond. Definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect place for our Labor Day weekend getaway! Direct access to the water, and accommodated our large group with everything we needed !

Melora’s home is lovely. The view towards the lake is breathtaking, especially with fresh snow. The home was clean and had every kitchen utensil/machine you could need. Most of our time was spent on the second floor and was such a great hang out spot for the 6 of us and enough space to do yoga as a group in the morning before heading to Mt Sunapee to ski/snowboard. Overall, Melora has a lovely home and she is very kind and always available to answer any questions or resolve any issues. Thank you Melora for letting us stay in your home.

Barbara's place is a real gem. So clean, with a beautiful mix of antique and woodsy modern furniture, and a wonderfully comfortable living area overlooking a meandering brook which a few hundred yards down the road leads to the lake. The kitchen was well-equipped and modern, and beddings and beds were very comfortable. While the house was close too a busy road, we didn't hear a thing, and for summer users the deck is completely away from the road, overlooking the brook. Even more than we expected.

We had a great time staying at the Dam House. The house is a good size, clean and very cozy. It was just a few minutes from Ragged Mountain and was a perfect spot for our ski weekend!

We enjoyed 4 nights in this spacious home with our extended family and a couple of dogs. Check in and getting in was easy. The kitchen is well equipped and the living spaces are comfy. We liked the extra gaming space downstairs. The beds were firm, the pillows are large, and the bedding is soft. Since we were there during cold snowy weather, we were not able to enjoy the dock and lake, but did ice skate and slide over at the clubhouse area with the kids. As a note for those with limited mobility though, there are a dozen or so tall landscaped steps from the parking area down to the house. Overall this home was a wonderful stay and we hope to visit again.

Annual Fall Weekend Our group just came back from enjoying our annual Fall weekend. This house is exactly as pictured. It is a lovely New Hampshire home with many homey touches. You can tell by the decorating and different areas of the home that the owners really take pride in this home and enjoy renting it out so others can enjoy it. Jennifer was always available to answer any questions I had whether it was about the house or things to do in the area. This home was very clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. I would definitely recommend staying at Herrick Cove.

If you are looking for an idyllic lake house experience, this is it! We could have spent our entire trip just sitting on the porches—upstairs, downstairs, one screened-in porch, and the lovely dock. We used the kayaks and the paddle boat multiple times. The house was perfect for us because we are a close family of three, but if you need privacy from other guests, this wouldn’t be the ideal house as one bedroom opens into the other. The beds are soft and comfortable as is the sofa. Paula and Tim were extremely responsive and helpful. We would absolutely return to this house. It was difficult to leave the gorgeous leaves.

The location is peaceful and beautiful. Loved having our morning coffee on the dock overlooking the lake and autumn leaves. Enjoyed kayaking to Paddlers Pub for drinks & food. The cottage is very cozy and just enough space for 2 people.

This Airbnb exceeded all expectations, offering everything we could possibly need and more. The space was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and stocked with thoughtful touches that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The location was absolutely stunning, nestled in a peaceful and scenic area that provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. From the cozy amenities to the host's exceptional attention to detail, this place truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

Overall, the place was great. nice and clean and exactly as described. we had a great time in the cabin. One thing to note, there is no TV, which we didn't realize before we went. We would definitely stay again but would probably bring a tablet or something next time.

Cannot say enough about Susan’s place! The minute we walked through the door we felt right at home. So cozy! The porch overlooking the lake was gorgeous. Very comfortable beds and linens. The kitchen was a delight for someone that likes to cook, as I do. Has everything you could think of. Definitely one of those Airbnb’s that provides more than the basics. Which I so appreciate! Absolutely loved the fieldstone fireplace. She even provided wood. Can’t wait to come back next year! Thank you Susan for an amazing week!

Third stay at this lovely home away from home. My family was comfortable and relaxed. We had everything we needed in the loft. We enjoyed great skiing at Mt. Sunapee, cooked some delicious meals (very well equipped kitchen), and watched movies in front of the fire.

My friends & I appreciate the nice level lawn with fire pit & space to play cornhole right next to the water. The cottage itself has a good sized living room and additional sunroom / dining room so there is always space for sit-down meals and games! Much of the cottage is the original 1952 finish, carefully kept while modernizing the systems, appliances & fixtures. A great place!

What a great stay we had with our children and grandchildren. We all loved the cabin children enjoyed the sledding and games We all enjoyed gathering around the wood-burning stove and playing games at night. The kitchen/cabin was well stocked with everything needed for your stay, Kimberly was a perfect host we would love to go back in the summer to enjoy more of the stream and pond thank you Kimberly for opening up your home to us Linda R

We enjoyed our stay. It was a good starting point for our other adventures. We enjoyed the fire pit a lot and looking at the stars. Well appointed - had all the necessities!

We had a great stay at Jason‘s place. It has a rustic vibe but clear that renovations were completed recently. The kitchen / living area had everything we needed. We made full breakfasts each morning, and sat at the dining table overlooking the lake with our coffee. The bed was very comfortable, great water pressure in the shower. Our priority for the weekend was to get into some kayaks and explore the lake. We spotted an eagle and a loon. Paddlers, head to the north end of the lake and make sure to cross into the channel beyond the bridge. We were able to take the kayaks quite a ways up. Wear water shoes so you can pop out of the boat and move it along at the few shallow points. The cabin is in an old camp neighborhood off a state road. You have the privacy you need in the house (the windows in the living space point out to the lake), but there is some noise from the road. Awesome cabin, great little escape for a Killington weekend. The place was very clean, well stocked, and Nicole was super responsive whenever we had a question. Would definitely return.

The place is quaint, clean, pretty, with a spacious open feel. The kitchen is well stocked. Coffee maker, coffee, fresh eggs, butter, oils, flour, spices so you don't need to pack everything if you plan to cook. Linens were beautiful, plentiful and clean. The walking trail behind the home is well marked and a pretty walk with view of the lake. We would stay here again. We are planning to buy or build a place soon and took some ideas from this pretty little place.

Beautiful cabin in a peaceful setting beside Mount Moosilauke. Would love to come back here in the summer with a small group, to make use of the fire pit and grill. It's a peaceful, intimate and charming cabin perfect for a romantic escape or a low key base of operations for a friends outing to any of the many attractions in the area.

This was a great place to stay! I was looking for a relaxing weekend and this place was perfect. The yard and back porch was great to enjoy the lake and it's very private. The inside is all updated while the outside maintains a rugged outdoor cabin in the woods setting. Great coffee station too!

What an awesome spot! We will most definitely be back and stay longer next time. Can’t say enough how accommodating and welcoming Michele and Mike were. We enjoy riding the atv trails in the area and this location is perfect for that. You can ride to the trails from the cabin. The river is awesome, can’t wait to come back in the summer to enjoy it more ! Very clean and cozy.
