Fantastic base for the safaris. They will sort you out with a jeep and everything you need. Even pack your breakfast so you can eat it in the car. Would recommend A+++

Put simply, we LOVED Isana: the unusual, airy, minimalist Japanese design, stunning location fronting onto such a pristine, unspoilt beach with (for our tastes) just the right level of activity to hold some interest and friendly faces without feeling remotely hectic, and absolutely divine food, made our stay feel wonderfully indulgent and relaxing. Tekla's cooking is, as we'd been told, incredibly good - she even allowed us into the kitchen to see how she put some of her curries together. It's not the cheapest place you'll stay, but it will no doubt be one of your favourites and most memorable. The beach puts others to shame in beauty and cleanliness and, although more comfortable seating for the beach and garden would have been welcome, the bodyboards meant there was little time for lounging around anyway!

Very nice and helpful host and his family. House was clean and nicely arranged, same we can say reg all Riverside area. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed only one night during our voyage through Sri Lanka and Riverside was one of most friendliest places we stayed in.

Ziziphus Tree Villas was a magical stay for me and my two friends. The host and staff were so helpful and caring and really made us have an incredible experience. The host was able to organise a safari for us which was so fun - we saw elephants, buffalos, mongooses and many more animals. The pool was also insanely great! We were able to order food from the restaurant and had the best Sri-Lankan omelette on this side of the island!!! Thank you guys

Annie is a lovely host who communicates quickly. Her house is beautiful, very close to the stunning silent beach. Onali the house manager is wonderful and makes the best Sri Lankan breakfast, her dad who also works at the Villa is very sweet and helpful. It’s a really lovely place with lots of wildlife around (monkeys, many birds, peacocks, lizards, squirrels, chipmunks etc). We loved it and would gladly comeback for a longer stay. Oh and the house dogs are the cutest!

We loved our stay at Blue Wild. The villa was amazing, huge airy space with a fab private pool. We stayed for 2 nights and found plenty to do in the local area. We enjoyed a safari at Yala park, and also really appreciated that we had only a short walk to the local village where there was a beautiful lake to walk around (we did a boat safari on the lake) and also plenty of local restaurants and shops. We had room service for dinner the first night and ate out in the village the second night. We also had a lovely room service breakfast each day which we enjoyed at our pool while watching the water buffalo in the field beyond! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We would really recommend staying at Blue Yala ☺️

Location is great, easy walk to the beach and Jini is the most lovely host - so friendly and smiley and the breakfast (for a small charge) was amazing! A really nice Homestay that I would 100% recommend!

We really loved staying here. Although it was just one night we were more than happy to be there. Super quiet place, really clean, the workers were really nice and the food they served was delicious. Would definitely recommend

This place has everything one can ask for. A big spacious room, clean bathroom & a massive pattio overlooking the Indian ocean. Their restaurant is right on the beach and serves an option of delicious sri lankan breakfast or continental breakfast. it's lovely to sit at the restaurant in the evening and sip on some beers and have some of their specialities - their deviled chicken is the best we have had in Sri Lanka. the hosts Gobi, Dikshad & Madhusheri are very helpful and will guide you around, organise bike rentals, kayak trips etc. Totally worth staying here and complete bang for buck. We will be back again.
