Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Halifax Harbour

We were celebrating a 50th birthday with a spa day nearby. The 4 bedrooms was a dream! The house had all we needed and then some. The host was amazing from beginning to end. Responsive. Proactive. Friendly. We spent 2 stormy nights and we're cozy the whole time. Thanks for the great weekend.

The spot was perfect for us, a great little cottage by the lake. The lake was gorgeous! Chris was very responsive for all of our changes in schedule and questions we had and even left us a little welcome gift of some snacks and drinks. It was incredible and we would stay there again! also it is much closer to Halifax than you think! Turn on tolls when looking because everyone uses the toll bridge and it's just 1.25$ at time of writing and it saves 20 minutes to get into Halifax!

Another great weekend at the Owl & Otter. We keep coming back! Clean, well appointed, comfortable and extra small touches like home baked goods upon arrival. It’s our go-to for our semi annual girls weekend and we can’t say enough positive things about the space and Emily.

I can't begin to explain the scerene beauty that this place Tania's place offers. Stunningly beautiful views and a sunrise that leaves you breathless. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and their amazing dogs made the whole place feel like home. We will definitely be back. If I could ever recommend somewhere to be near Halifax but out of this city this hidden gem is an absolute must!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect to visit the surrounding area such as the local Wineries, Lunenburg and Peggy’s Cove. At the end of the day, the log home was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a sunset on the lake. We made great memories this week. Thank you for sharing this beautiful log home with us.

STUNNING property and location! The home was beautifully decorated with lots of modern touches. It included everything you needed. Lots of cookware/table settings/towels and shower items and was incredibly clean! We were a family of 7 and there was lots of space for everyone to be more than comfortable the whole stay. We loved that we were able to have the two sets of adults in each a bedroom and the kids all shared the room with two beds. The surrounding area is stunning. A quaint little village of locals and other Airbnb's and right on Peggy's Cove. It was incredible! The views are absolutely gorgeous. The only thing we didn't really like was the cost of the cleaning fee. We thought $250 was a bit much for a 3 night stay. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone!

This place was amazing. Large 2 bedrooms with comfy beds and linens. Tastefuly decorated Lots of added extras. It was dark when we arrived so we were happily surprised in the morning to see the view and lake. We were in the area for work and this was the perfect place to set up home base.

We loved the location central to going to Halifax and Mahone Bay and Lundenburg also for going to our next place. Clean neat and tidy great shower all the amenities you need for a short stay!!

This was the most amazing place. We spent a week here and Everything you needed or wanted was right in this place. The surroundings were peaceful, very inviting. Gillian checked in with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything. The beds were very comfy. The firepit is beautiful there was a fully stacked wood pile to use for the fire. There were lots of chairs all around to sit outside or out by the the dock. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Gillian and Scott for your hospitality.

A great place to relax and unwind. Hot tub was perfect and super clean. Host was very attentive.

Very comfortable place. We really enjoyed the hot tub. I thought it was a very nice area to walk around as well and we enjoyed great pizza at the local pizzeria. I also went to the French patisserie had some great coffee and breakfast. Highly recommend.

Excellent host and very hospitable. The accommodation was very clean. Location is great because it is very close to Dalhousie.

Interior is modern and very comfortable and the swim spa and patio area are private, with great views of the bay during the day and the stars at night. Easy access to Hailfax and the surrounding area.

Great property, just as described and like the photos. The fire pit and arcade machine were both a big hit. Highly recommended.

Lina’s place is absolutely beautiful, the surroundings and things to do are great. Very relaxing, had everything we needed and the hot tub was a great extra. So nice to have pet friendly places that are the lovely. Lina was very quick to respond. 10/10 would recommend 😊

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

Such a beautiful place and our hosts went over and above, loved the tranquility, view, gardens, ducks, and even deer. Can’t say enough about the wonderful food that was prepared and delivered to our door. We were spoiled, and enjoyed meeting and watching a sunset with Kim, Craig and family. Lukies Lodge was the perfect place to escape away to for the weekend. The aesthetic of the lodge was extremely relaxing, and every detail was thought of to make this a stress-free environment. I loved learning about the inspiration and namesake of Lukies Lodge. So special. Bonus: if you have always wanted to get swallowed up by a couch, now is your chance. If it wasn't a goal of yours before, it should be, because the oversized loveseat was life-changing. Everything was meticulous and I had the best weekend! Thanks Kyla! Becca

This place is wonderful. It is so peaceful and private. Outside you hear the river running and our dogs loved running around. The porch lights and string lights at night are perfect for going outside without flashlights. So clean, cozy, and comforting inside. It was our first airbnb experience as a couple, so we didn't know what to expect. The bed was SO comfortable, and normally pillows are a miss but the ones there were perfect and cozy. Stepping outside on either balcony was so lovely too, with the river water running and other country noises. We had rain our weekend, and while downstairs we didn't even realize until going out with the dogs, home is pretty sound proof. Upstairs you can hear it on the steel roof, but not crazy! Wonderful place with our dogs, though they are terrible with stairs - lesson learned on our end! This time of year, the dirt road was in rough shape with all the rain we've been having. Overall, Blaire and her property made it a wonderful experience!
