Vacation rentals in Hafnir

The hosts, Gerður and Óskar, were responsive and proactive in ensuring all was going well during my one week stay by checking in part-way through my stay. I appreciated the privacy given by both the location of the property and the hosts themselves. The location and property, located in Kópavogu, was exactly as described and it was a great jumping off point for exploring the surrounding rural areas and Reykjavik by car. Kópavogur is also more accessible to the airport (KEF) and south-western Iceland. I enjoyed discovering shops, restaurants and bakeries in Kópavogur as it is a more relaxed atmosphere than downtown Reykjavik which is also very accessible from this location. Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

We had such an incredible stay here. Katrin was very helpful and had plenty recommendations for us. The cabin is in such a beautiful location, we had a perfect view and even managed to see the northern lights from the hot tub. One of the best holidays I've had. Can't recommend this cabin enough!

I loved the room! Very warm and cozy and everything was exactly as described. Lisa was super proactive and helpful. I even got a Christmas present :) Would definitely come again.

Alfa and Finnur were very friendly and helpful, the best hosts!!! The house is lovely and cozy. Perfect for our family! The hot tub was the perfect temperature and so relaxing. I sincerely hope this place is available for our next visit!!!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The location was ideal, offering breathtaking views of the mountains. The space was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, making us feel right at home. We especially loved the little touches like the local recommendations. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bed was super comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat.

Superb location. Got everything we needed from the kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Made our stay in Iceland comfortable and convenient. Host also very communicative. 👍🏻

My family and I had a great time celebrating my dad’s 60th here! Place was great and perfectly located — both to explore Reykjavik and get to the buses for our various tours around the country.
