Cottage in Cumbria
4.9 out of 5 average rating, 138 reviewsAin House Cottage Sleeps 4 Pets welcome Hot tub
Felt like home away from home! Great location, cosy, warm and clean cottage. Particularly I would praise the fully equipped kitchen to cook. The fireplace, the comfy beds, we loved the area and surroundings ( and the bower inn pub just 5 min driving!)!!!!! For us it was a 9.5 out of 10! Not the 10 because we love Netflix and there wasn’t a smart tv to watch other channels rather than cable tv in the evenings, but everything else was perfect, fully recommend it and we will be back!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a relaxing weekend. We appreciated the welcome package and helpful instructions on how to get to and check in to the property. We did struggle to open the front door once we had unlocked it, it was a little stiff. Other than that, everything was perfect, thank you!

Beautiful cottage in what feels like a rural location after dark but only minutes from the M6. The cottage was spotlessly clean and super cosy. We felt right at home. Everything you might need is provided and the bed was super comfy. Would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely visit again for the accommodation and the location. All the information provided when booked and a guide book in the kitchen for anything else. A bottle of wine, tea, coffee, sugar and eggs were provided when we arrived which were an added loveliness.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over New Year. From booking, to the welcome basket (and yummy cake!), hot tub and festive lights...every bit is beyond expectation. We visited Ullswater (more stunning if compared to Windermere in my opinion) and Lowther Castle, which are both gorgeous. And thanks for recommending Rheged when the weather is not on our side. Rose barn is a sweet and warm home for our family of 6. Hope to be back some day🙂

Kathryn was a great host from start to finish: from being quick to respond to messages to being there to greet us on our arrival. The place itself is lovely: a great location with cracking views and super peace and quiet. The clear night skies on our first night, along with the lack of light pollution, meant that sitting in the hot tub looking up was fantastic. Everything we needed was in the property meaning we had a very comfortable stay.

Cottage in Ulverson
4.94 out of 5 average rating, 102 reviewsContemporary yet cosy cottage for 2
Fantastic find. We booked this for a Christmas/ new year break and found home from home with Emma decorating cottage to make us feel it was just that. Extremely private in ever changing landscapes with weather conditions but that said had good weather for season. Got out and about on recommendations. Farmers arms a good local and friendly . Ulverston offers great alternatives in wet weather, canal walk, museum and crystal showroom. We ventured out to Buttermere, Wray castle and other surrounding areas. This break was an exploration for our future and now consideration options for retirement. Thankyou Emma for your help. Great place and host. Hope to be back. Kind regards Gill and guy

Super cosy and comfortable cottage. All the rooms were clean and refurbished to a high standard. Lovely views and great set-up with a wood burner in the living room and a massive free standing bath in the bathroom. Perfect location to do lots of walks in the close area. Only 30 minutes from Keswick and 20 minutes from Cockermouth. We will definitely visit again!
Cottage in Foulridge
4.98 out of 5 average rating, 105 reviewsAccornlee Cottage Bronte country
From the time we booked we were made to feel that John and Christine were waiting to welcome us to their lovely cottage. We had clear directions and John was there to welcome us when we arrived. He showed us round the cottage, gave us helpful advice about eating places, etc and he was there if we needed to check anything out (although everything was really fine and we didn't need to trouble him). The cottage is super - part of an old farmhouse on their working farm, surrounded by fields and lovely scenery. The cottage is extremely well equipped and, to our surprise, there were lots of lovely welcome treats, including prosecco, mulled wine, lovely chocolates, etc etc. Such a wonderful welcome for our 'twixmas' mini break. The area is very attractive and well placed to visit places like Haworth and Skipton, which we did. We would certainly recommend this lovely cottage and want to thank John and Christine for making our stay so enjoyable.

4.91 out of 5 average rating, 154 reviewsFell Cottage – Gorgeous Luxury Lake District Gem
My family and I have stayed in many places that state they sleep 8 at this point, but Fell Cottage is by far our favourite. From the huge, well stocked, gorgeous kitchen, to the lovely bedrooms, to the spacious living room (that actually had enough seats!) we couldn't have asked for more. It even has a dining table, which is square (a revelation in our opinion) and comfortably sat 8 adults. The whole cottage was clean and welcoming and stocked everything we needed and more. Although we did bring 8 frozen pizzas, not realising that it was only a tiny freezer compartment in one of the fridges! I also want to note -for any dog families that may be looking - In practicality terms, it was one of the easiest places we've stayed in with 3 dogs. From the 'actually' fully enclosed garden, to the entrance porch (perfect for drying off muddy paws), to the hose out front (a must have for spaniels), and finally the agility field across the way - it was just a breeze.

A wonderful homely cottage that was spacious, well equipped and very centrally located for Windermere. It’s beautifully decorated and benefits from a lovely cosy log burner which was so welcoming after a long day in the freezing temps. A huge thank you to our hosts for a lovely stay.

I visited Mark and Ruth’s cottage with two friends to celebrate their birthdays and we had a lovely time! Plenty of space for us could have easily fit another 2 people. Such a cosy stay, the cottage is decorated beautifully and we were making the most of the hot tub which was a lovely bonus. Mark and Ruth were great hosts, they clearly care about their guests and want to make their stay as enjoyable as possible. Plenty of things to do, both on and off site, so could be good for all types of groups. I’d highly recommend visiting!
