Cottage vacation rentals in Grand Rapids

This house was perfect for a multi-generational gathering of ladies! The three bedrooms were very comfortable. My niece was very excited to see bunk beds in one of the upstairs rooms. The inside is great but the best part of the house is the outside. There is a large patio that has some shade all day long so both the sun lovers and sun avoiders were happy! The sandy beach leading into the water was perfect for kids. We appreciated the floaties, kayaks, and extra chairs in the garage. We would definitely like to stay here again!

This was a perfectly place for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. Being nice and close to both Saugatuck, Douglas, and Mt. Baldhead, we did not have any issues finding something to do. While we were there too early for it to be open, the house is also close to the chain ferry, which can make getting to Saugatuck even easier. As an added bonus, we got to see some deer decently up close while relaxing in the hot tub! This was definitely a great trip!

Overall it was a pleasant stay. BUT… the initial address given was not the address of the house so we have to drive another 30 minutes to get to the house. The house was clean, rustic and ideal for us 3 people and a dog. We enjoyed the amenities especially the billiards and kayaks. Also our dog enjoyed running around the property.

An amazing escape, perfectly situated to take advantage of all that Saugatuck has to offer from the beautiful views of the river with a private dock and fire pit to the short walk into town. Lovely house with all the amenities you could ever need to enjoy your stay whether you are vacationing with kids or escaping with the your friends to blow off some steam.

We’re repeat renters at Shari’s place in Douglas. We love the hot tub for us and the fenced in yard for our pup! It’s a great getaway for our little fam.

Our stay was wonderful at the Cove! The house was extremely clean and well taken care of. Lots of great features if you are looking for skiing in the winter or all the lake fun in the summer. This is the place. Super friendly host, very clear instructions, clean and cozy. We will be back up during the summer for some lake time. 5 stars highly recommended staying at the Cove. We had an amazing stay at this a-frame. It was incredibly relaxing and clean. The place was exactly as described, and the hot tub was fantastic — clean and perfect for unwinding. Todd was kind and very responsive, which made our experience even better. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway!

Derek and Ashley made such a cozy home away from home. They thought of everything! We are a family of 5 with 3 kids and 2 dogs coming right after Christmas. There was Holiday decor with dogs and a hot chocolate station. It was a perfect getaway! The water is so close and relaxing. I loved that there was a dock on the water.The house is adorable and so cozy! I loved the nook in the wall that was one of our kids and dog's favorite spots. They had board games for the kids. The house felt like a home, so clean and had all the comforts of home. It was near Grand Rapids so we took Derek's advice and went ice skating downtown. Grand Haven was not far so we drove there and experienced all Grand Haven offers. We loved the area and the home. Derek and Ashley made us feel so welcome and truly enjoyed our vacation. Thank you for everything!

Great place stayed twice, second was as good as the first. Will be booking again. Next year.

We had a great time at this sweet beach house. It was the perfect size for our family, and very cozy in November.

This place is so beautiful! We had a family get together, and the house was just amazing! It had three nice big bedrooms with plenty of room for the entire family. There was a big game room downstairs, and toys for the kids. Big, beautiful windows in the kitchen to look out on the lake in the cold weather. The beds were so nice, and everything was set up beautifully! There was even a gigantic Christmas tree set up in the living room. Talk about cozy, we wanted to stay there forever! We will be back!

Beautiful lakefront property, plenty of room for a family, nice accommodations and amenities, plus a very friendly, proactive Host. We would love to take advantage of all the opportunities the Gun Lake community provides during the summer months and would definitely return here to stay.

Wally so generously had the cottage ready earlier than expected. Picking up the keys at the gallery was simple and convenient with the cottage so close by. The cottage is quaint, cozy and beautifully appointed with colorful art and unique items. The location is right in town, so we didn't need to use our vehicle during our stay and only did so to explore the surrounding area. The cottage has an enclosed small yard area, which was great as we brought our small dog. There are great shops and restaurants within a few blocks. During our stay I looked at the Airbnb website to check availability for the summer! I highly recommend Dumela Cozy Cottage!

Party of 10 stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights for a fishing charter on Lake Michigan. The views of Lake Allegan were gorgeous with beautiful sunsets and sun rises. The only thing that we felt that cabins sat quite high above the shoreline with a steep set of stairs down to the lake. That was fine for most of us, but it was a bit difficult for the elderly in our group. It is very possible this was included in the listing description, and we just missed it. Anyway, everything worked out fine, and everyone enjoyed themselves grilling, sitting by the fire, swimming, and kayaking. Kendal was excellent every step of the way. Highly recommend!

A very cute little cottage. Perfect size for us on our trip to Holland! Well equipped kitchen and great use of space. We hope to visit again!

Loved the place! It was cozy & decorated so cute! We were looking for a peaceful, serene place & this is it! The price was affordable which was a factor for us. Kayaking around the lake was really fun. It was the perfect meeting place for two friends traveling from different states. Carrie had bought us 2 things that we mentioned we were looking forward to, which was SO very kind.

Didn’t get to meet Jon and Lori but we enjoyed our stay. Everything was just as listed and very comfortable. Definitely a great location. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

My family and I were after a peaceful lakefront getaway, and Jill's place delivered! We had never visited this area before, but it felt like home from the moment we arrived. The home was beautiful and cozy and the views were stunning. We were seeking a quiet few days on a lake and I couldn't have asked for a more memorable and peaceful stay. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The home was clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed plus some extra snacks we did not expect. I don't know how I can say much more -- this is our 3rd visit to Lisa's home this year and we loved it -- all three times! My granddaughters always remind me that they want to go back to the "Lake House". They absolutely have the best times here.
