Waterfront vacation rentals in Gary

Our host responded in seconds with any questions we had! We removed our shoes at the door and our socked feet proved how clean this place is. Super well stocked bathroom and clean comfortable bed. Very quiet location yet less than 2 blocks from the L, restaurants, beach and just steps away from the bus and market. Some evidence of homelessness on Sheridan Rd. and in the park at the beach. We were only approached 1 time in 3 days. Street lighting was abundant especially the ally access. We wouldn’t hesitate to use this location for a return trip.

I can’t thank you enough for making my stay at your guesthouse such a peaceful retreat. After the fast pace of D.C., your place was exactly what I needed. From the seamless check-in to the thoughtful touches, everything felt effortless and welcoming. Your hospitality made it more than just a stay it was an experience. I’d love to return this summer to enjoy the lake, try fishing, and maybe even go canoeing. Visiting Mishawaka wouldn’t be the same without staying at your wonderful place! Stephanie was a very helpful and responsive host. It is a great location very close to the Mag mile, Gold Coast and lake. Would be an amazing place to stay in the spring or summer due to the proximity of lake! Even though I was there during the coldest week of the year, still had a great time !

We have stayed here numerous times, have always been completely satisfied with our accommodations, and intend on returning really soon!

Probably one of the nicest Airbnbs we have ever stayed in! Better than the pictures in my opinion. We were staying here during the biggest snow storm of the season so far so we really ended up getting our moneys worth. It had everything we needed. The view of Lake Michigan was crazy especially with all the snow. The beds were big & cozy!! The bathroom in the master was spacious. Loved the tvs in both bedrooms & living room. The kitchen island is so convenient. The couch is comfortable. Honestly I can’t say enough about the place! .

Myself and my daughter stayed at Carla’s place for two weeks over the Christmas break. It was easy to check in and followed the instructions given. It smelt and looked very clean on arrival. The living room was as pictured like the rest of the apartment. The laundry was separate but was easy to use Carla provided the laundry detergent and coins as the machines were coin operated. (I don’t think the laundry detergent is apart of her amenities) I am very grateful that Carla had given me more. The apartment was very comfortable and peaceful overall. Only noise I heard was from the neighbours above from time to time, but not overly noisy. The neighbours I met were very friendly and polite that lived in the building. The local neighbourhood was very quiet as Carla’s place is opposite the park. We did frequent visits to the park and everyone was friendly. It was very easy to communicate with Carla and she replied very quickly, no request was too big or too small, she provided everything.

Great location and wonderful place to stay for friends or a family. Will certainly be back and have already told friends about using this place for their trip.

This was a perfect place for a women’s retreat! The space was fantastic, the surroundings were beautiful, beds were comfortable, and kitchen was pretty well stocked. I will note: the listing says sleeps 12, but pay attention to the rooms. Technically one of the rooms is a kids room and the beds are designed for children. There are a couple of rollaway beds, which helps, but if you’re hoping to sleep 12 adults then I’d suggest messaging the host to learn more about the best way to make that happen. Everyone loved the house and we will definitely be back in the future!

Stayed here recently with multi generational family of adults. It was TERRIFFIC! Was very convenient to all the locations we needed to get to for a wedding at the Brix. Easy drive from O'hare. If you like to spend time in the kitchen this is a great place for you. Large and lots of cupboard and counter space. Beds were very comfortable. Katherine is an amazing hostes and provides everything one might need for a great stay. We enjoyed all the reading material, the games available. If you have little ones she has provided for them as well. By far the best thing was just being able to relax and enjoy peace and quiet of the location. Watching the bald eagles fish the river was a highlight but so was being able to enjoy a quiet fire and watch the snow fall as the lights reflected off the River. One of the best places we have stayed.

This was a great house for my family weekend get together. Beautifully decorated, large bedrooms and plenty of room to hang out. View of the lake was gorgeous even in the winter. Would like to try it again in the summer when we can enjoy all the amenities.

Enjoyed the home..enough room for whole family

Jeremy's place was exactly as pictured and more. The space has been beautifully updated and the views are spectacular. We were there during the middle of winter and found it an incredible place to relax and take in the views as well as enjoy the fun of downtown st. Joe which is 5 minutes away. One of the beauty's of the property is the attention to detail. Warm blankets everywhere, fresh linens, and overall just a beautiful property. We will most definitely be returning in the summer months of the space is available to enjoy what we couldn't in the winter. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with our family! Beautifully updated home with an expansive stretch of private beach at the bottom of the steps. Lake Michigan can be seen from all the back rooms in the house as well as the back deck. Light and bright kitchen is well-stocked with all the cookware and amenities you need for meals. Two dishwashers a plus for large groups. House, location, and view cannot be beat. Also a shout out to Bluefish, the management company with whom we dealt. Extremely responsive, and instructions exactly as described. Bluefish provided a wonderful binder at the home full of helpful information on restaurants, grocery stores, antique shops, equipment rental companies, boat charter companies, and other things to do.

Perfect setting for our weekend. Room for 6 couples. It was winter so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful back yard but it is obvious it would be peaceful and relaxing in the summer.

Amy’s house exceeded our expectations and Amy responds quickly to questions, etc. We enjoyed our weekend stay. It was very peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. It was very relaxing sitting on the deck watching the river flow by! The house is just as Amy described and is clean and very well stocked. The weather was perfect for sitting around the campfire at night. It’s a short drive to Tippecanoe State Park, which has many hiking trails to choose from. We plan to return!

William has a fabulous place that was perfect for what we needed. Clean, plenty of linen and towels for when we needed it, and every supply we could ask for. Yes, the train was next door, but surprisingly didn't interrupt anything for us, so I'd say that description was accurate. We would absolutely stay here again.

Alexa was an awesome host. Her location is even nicer than the photos show. The indoor parking was a great amenity and the living room had great views of the river. Easy drive/walk to downtown with lots of restaurants and breweries. Alexa is very responsive and made check in/out very easy.

We had a wonderful week in this condo! All of the extras - snacks, spices in the cabinet, extra beach towels, several different types of coffeemakers - were greatly appreciated. The cabinets had many choices of mugs, glasses, plates and bowls. We also loved that there were several locations with a light on a dimmer (Dining room, living room). Having a washer and dryer available down the hall was also a plus. The porch is fantastic! So relaxing,. The sofa cushions for the porch are perfect and easily accessible. The gas grill was also great for cookouts and dinners watching the sunset. There is a really nice overlook area if you don't want to walk all the way down to the beach, easy to get to by walking around to the other side of the building. We got some great northern lights pictures from that lookout. Patty was always helpful and easily accessible - answering any questions I had within the hour, sometimes in just minutes!

Kaye's place might just be the coziest and cutest place to stay in Chicago. Close to what you need, walkable, cozy for dogs, great taste in design, and affordable. Made my trip to the dentist a little easier to take! Thank you, Kaye- don't change a thing about your space.

My best friend celebrated her birthday this weekend and we were looking for a relaxing place to getaway. Our condo was exactly what we needed! Joel was helpful and quick to respond to every question we had! The location was very private and we felt safe. There was absolutely no disruptions! Our favorite part of the weekend was after our adventures during the day we had a lovely environment to return to and the fireplace to sit by and unwind. Thank you for this amazing location......highly recommend!

Amazing location with restaurants and breweries nearby .

We were in Chicago for the weekend and this was such a perfect place to stay! It was clean and comfy, and matched the photos and description. The only drawback was the showers - the primary bathroom water didn't get hot enough and the guest bathroom had low water pressure. However, these were not deal breakers and we thoroughly enjoyed the space and location. Wendy and Matt were also super responsive when I reached out about the showers and offered to come over immediately. Awesome hosts, fantastic location, and comfortable unit! Would stay here again!
