The White House Lodge was amazing. Janaka and his family made us instantly feel welcome and at home. The apartment is quite spacious and you'll be provided with everything you need. the terrace is very beautiful as well. Everything in Madiha is in walkable distance. Janaka helped us with tuktuks and car rides as well.

Absolutely faultless experience. The beautiful house and excellent team of staff exceeded all of our expectations. We were incredibly comfortable in the spacious and beautifully designed and furnished house and gardens. The house managed to combine all of the above whilst allowing us to feel completely ‘at home’. Sunil, the on-site villa manager, was always able to help and guide us with all our needs for transport and excursions etc. Sunil is also a wonderful chef. He cooks with skill but also with love. We felt very well looked after. He and his team kept the villa spotless and were kind and friendly throughout. We hugely appreciated the effort they made to help us celebrate our daughters birthday whilst we were there. Would 100% recommend.

Sweet villa is absolutely gorgeous. It has spacious bedrooms with high ceilings and AC and a pool and massive garden. It’s right on the sea front and only a 15 min walk to polhena beach which is a quiet and gorgeous beach with lots of small Sri Lankan restaurants and cafes. It doesn’t feel too touristy like mirissa. It’s the ideal location for a girls trip if you want easy access to great places but also want privacy and security. Delphine and the team were extremely helpful and very communicative. We had a cleaner come every day we were there and when we had another friend surprise us by joining midway through our trip it was no problem. Can’t recommend enough!

We had a lovely stay there. We would stay 2 nights but have stayed 4! It feels like you're in the jungle. Wonderful! Lovely swimming pool. Every evening fireflies in the garden. Very nice, helpful host. Highly recommended!

In a nutshell: we found a paradise. We looked for a peaceful place, where we can live self sufficient. And in Damith Villa Ovita we found a tropical garden, a house in harmony with nature and tradition. But also modern, comfortable, clean and practical. We cooked, we observed and enjoyed the nature with a diversity of animals and plants. And last but not least we had the unique chance to participate in a buddhist ceremony and a celebration from his family. Because now Damith will open a new guest house. The old one is cosy, small but beautiful. And the new one was born and built from his ideas and his hands. Its one of the most wonderful and peaceful houses I've ever seen. If you have the chance and longing for idyll, so come to this place. You won't find bars, clubs and restaurants. But you'll find a most adorable village with a little paradise of Damith in the heart. The beach is a few steps away and beautiful. And also you can buy everything for daily use. Thanks for everything!

We had a great time staying in this villa for one month. Finding a good place in Sri Lanka at a reasonable price is so hard. This villa exceeded our expectations. It was much better in real life than in pictures. The sunrise through the windows softly illuminates the jungle, calling us to wake up early for every new day. It is very natural and comfortable to stay in. But our experience would not have been as exciting without the villa's owner, Nuwan. Nuwan is the best man on the island, and we became friends. Every time, he helped us in different situations. We will come back to that place because there are the people who make the place truly happy.

The villa is in a beautiful surroundings, overlooking a rice field. The villa is very spacious with swimming private pool. We thouroughly enjoyed out stay here. Christa was very helpful. The helper onsite is really very helpful, and responsive. Only negative I would say is it was far from attractions and main city. Beach is around 4 kms and getting a transport here is a challenge. Booking vehicles in advance to move around could help. The approach road is narrow around 100 mts from the main road.

The peace and calm is heavenly. This really is a haven. Birds are plentiful and beautiful, the garden and pool just gorgeous. What really makes the stay is the genuine kindness and helpfulness of Jagath and Upul. They were discreet yet so ready with a juice, a cup of tea, (even hot ginger for a cough) or a tuktuk ride. Meals were delicious especially the curry, guacamole and cakes. A truly memorable home and we mustn’t forget the energetic, cuddly Mikki.
