Vacation rentals with a fire pit in eMangweni

Great place, beautiful surroundings, lots to do in the area with great restaurants. We loved the quiet and peaceful surroundings on the farm and off course the two labradors that came to say hallo every day!! The cottage is perfectly equipped with everything you need, even eggs and milk in the fridge! I would highly recommend the place and will go back whenever we get the opportunity.

Linda is such an amazing host, she was so helpful and responsive to questions that we had for her. Her home is perfectly positioned in front of the most beautiful Drakensburg mountains. Last but not least her home is clean and beautiful, we will definitely be going back soon.

We arrived at Barn Owl cottage to the site of beautiful mountains, lush countryside and the most peaceful, serene setting. The cottage is set at the top of a large, sprawling lawn, complete with a swing set and fire pit. Just a short walk down a path takes you to a small damn with canoes and a damn side bench set under fruit trees (apples and plums). This is the perfect place to put your feet up and relax, and if you're feeling adventurous, a short trip to hiking trails in the Drakensburg or tubing on a near-by river, this is the perfect getaway. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay! The setting is incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views of the river and mountains. Whether we were relaxing on the day bed or simply soaking in the natural beauty, every moment felt special. Our children had an amazing time making the fire for the hot tub, chopping wood, and swimming in the river—it was the perfect outdoor adventure for them! The tented camp itself is beautifully designed inside and out, blending comfort with nature effortlessly. This was truly a magical escape, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our stay. Central to all the places we like to visit. Google took us on a bit of a goose chase up the mountain. Would have been easier to find if we had followed turnoff to Caley's. Lovely accomodation but missed being able to walk ' in the countryside' Would definitely visit agsin.

I absolutely loved this place! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. Sian is an incredible host. She is warm, thoughtful, and genuinely friendly. Every detail of the space was carefully curated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I adored everything about my stay, from the charming decor to the peaceful ambiance. I will definitely be returning for another visit!

Wow Wow Wow what an incredible place would highly recommend was an experience we will never forget. the hosts are also so amazing and friendly can't thank them enough. Book Book Book you won't regret it.

So thrilled we had a chance to stay here - such a beautiful place, so quiet, with the most wonderful view of the woods, a river, and lake in the distance. Pauline is a fabulous host - her communication was excellent and although the cabin is really off the beaten path, her directions were perfect. She couldn't have been more helpful and we spent a blissful weekend there. No wonder it's hard to book here and it's a super popular place to hire. Long to return.

What a brilliant find. Nyati House war so peaceful with the most beautiful views and close to amenities. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again. Mark was brilliant, friendly and very proactive.
