Great spot in a quiet little town on the water

I almost don’t want to say how fantastic my stay was because going forward you are sure to be always booked! I absolutely LOVED Commonground! The building buzzed with positivity and happy people. The cafe and food downstairs were delicious. The music at night fun. Everyone seemed happy. The room was immaculate and thoughtfully laid out. The kitchen had everything I need and more. I loved that you had games, a pack and play, a high chair, extra comfy pillows and blankets. I liked. That there were two real plants in the kitchen (which I watered and pruned for you). I suppose the only things I would say is that I miss having cable, being a news person, and the overheard lights were a bit too bright. I highly recommend Commonground.

This was a really nice, clean place with great views. The host and building manager were extremely thorough with how to locate the building and get in and were very responsive. The location was perfect, right by quite a few restaurants. 5 minute walk and you are right smack in the heart of downtown.

Perfect stay. Location was ideal. The apartment is large and comfortable. I was thrilled to stay in an Airbnb home that wasn't absolutely inundated in chemical fabric softeners and fragrances. This home was clean and did not have any chemical overwhelm. Excellent. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the boathouse. It is our third visit and it never disappoints. The boathouse was clean and cozy. Pam and Dave are lovely hosts.

This studio stay was exactly as expected with very comfortable and clean furnishings! The kitchenette allowed us to prep the food we wanted and the mini frig had the room we needed! We really enjoyed our stay!

Place was beautiful and very clean. Newer complex. Would stay here again when in the area. It is about a 20 minute walk to Front Street. Location is good if heading out to the Dunes or other sites. Linda was very responsive.

Our stay at Kathy’s place was perfect! The rental was spotless upon are arrival and Kathy was extremely flexible with check in and checkout. Her communication before and during our stay was outstanding and prompt. Kathy went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during are stay. I would definitely recommend her place and happily rent from her again in the future.

Our second cousin holiday season at this location and we love how comfy and sociable of a space it is, while still providing privacy and space to isolate when needed. Amazing hosts and always helpful!

You will instantly fall in love with the quiet lakefront beauty and the breath-taking and welcoming home just 60 or so feet from the water. The main floor of the house is close to lake level making the drama of nature around you compelling and inspiring. The waterfront and waves lapping the stone and sand shore are visible from almost all the rooms of the house, and it's a short walk to River Street in Elk Rapids. Traverse Magazine readers voted River Street "in the top 10 of ‘Sweet Small-Town Main Streets in Northern Michigan.'” The pace of life is calming in this lovely town and in this beautiful home. Owner Bernadette and property manager Sam make you feel perfectly at home. Response time to messages is instant, polite, and friendly. There's so much enjoyment to be had for all ages here.

This property is flat out amazing! The pictures do not do this place justice. The layout of the house is perfect for a family vacation with plenty of space all over the house! Game room is amazing with the theater seating and huge TV, the deck is a great place to lounge, walk out door on the ground floor is a nice touch, rooms have a nice view of the lake. The house is very clean and has everything that you need. Yes, the house is amazing, but David made this stay a one of a kind. I asked a lot of questions and he was patient, understanding, and welcoming as a host from start to finish. Communication with David was very clear and concise. Thank you again David for making this vacation one that we will never forget! We will definitely be coming back to stay at one of your properties!

Great house; excellent location, newly renovated inside, well appointed with everything we needed.

This cottage was a great price and had a beautiful view of the lake. The sheets were so soft and there was plenty of space for our family of 4 adults. Loved the couch and fireplace. I would stay here again.

The Big Drake is in on quiet lane right on the lake shore, the place is large while still feeling homey. The kitchen is well l equipped with modern appliances. The heating and AC are controlled by different Nest thermostats, and we were able to keep it at a good temperature. The three main bedrooms are very comfortable--two share an adjoining bathroom, and for one it is around the corner. The kids rooms with bunk beds were great as well. The rooms above the garage were a bit more rustic, but clean and comfortable. The furniture in the living room is very cozy leather and the other furniture is nice, often custom wood like in a fancy lodge. The check-in and check-out were super easy, with clear instructions and communications. The place is 10 minutes from a large grocery store (Meijer) and 20–30 minutes from Traverse city, which is a neat town to explore with excellent food. Overall, we highly recommend and hope we can come back!

The location and cottage are fantastic. We enjoyed an awesome week at the lake with great fishing and peaceful fun times with family. Brought a boat for the week and thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the large sand bar on the lake. Julie was a great host who communicated clearly with everything and made things so easy for us. The location is about as private as it can get being on a lake which made it for a quiet peaceful week! Would definitely rent again!

The space provided a much-needed moment of calm. It was a cozy and inviting home filled with everything we could need. Chelsea was really responsive and helpful. We had an excellent visit!

We stayed at Greg’s place for a ski weekend. What a great location- close to lots of options for dining. Skiing was so easy to get to. I would love to see what summer is like staying here! Highly recommend! Plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 teenage boys.

We loved our time at Mikes condo in Traverse. It’s a wonderful location and walkable to pretty much everything downtown. The condo was spotlessly clean, that’s a biggie for me, and this was the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever been in. We loved our time and the great view of the lake, thank you!

Dandan's place was exactly what we needed. Clean, comfortable, with all amenities and with the most fabulous view of the water. We will be back!

Our stay was great! Perfect for a ski weekend at Boyne! We had one minor mishap with the pullout bed that was corrected asap after reaching out to our host!

Great value for a condo 12 minutes from Highlands and Nubs Nob. Less than 10 minutes to Petosky. Had everything we needed and more. Pull out bed was as comfortable as advertised.

We stayed here during the holiday and new years to ski at the Highlands. There was a family of two (4 adults and four kids). The place was absolutely perfect! Everything was clean, it had everything we needed, including tons of storage, cooking utensils, to a make up mirror and blow dryer in the bathroom. It was a quick walk to the club house, which is awesome for those with kids and a TV and room to hangout for the adults. The place was perfect and we’d definitely stay again. Both sets of families would highly recommend.

Gorgeous view and it’s especially lovely and unique to see the lake in the winter. The home was immaculate and looked just like the photos in the profile. Soaking tub is a slice of luxury. Easy in and out with a convenient location. Would stay again for sure.
