Accommodations in Dumfries

We had the most perfect stay. The area is beautiful with plenty to offer in terms of days out, stunning scenery & great food. Matt’s house was a wonderful base for the week. Felt spacious yet cosy, perfect for us (family of 3 plus dog). Everything we needed for a week away & the on site amenities were a great addition (we used the pool & mini golf plenty). I’d love to think we’d return as we’d be very happy to. Many great memories made. & all Matt’s food recommendations were spot on!

Absolutely gorgeous little get away , perfect for a quiet chilled weekend away. Lovely host very helpful and most importantly the cottage was absolutely spotless with everything you need. Highly recommend

I couldn’t recommend Little Peru enough, the pod was immaculate & in great condition. The location was perfect & the hosts went out their way to ensure a perfect stay. The hosts have great communication & my time staying was truly enjoyable. Little Peru is the perfect getaway & I will definetely be back :)

My family and I had an amazing stay at Ralph’s cabin near Penrith! Ralph was a fantastic host with excellent communication, even offering to adjust the heating for us remotely, which was so thoughtful. The cabin was cozy with nice, comfy beds, and the kids were thrilled with the selection of games available. We even spotted wild rabbits outside the bedroom window, which was a special treat! The location is ideal, close to Keswick, making it easy to explore the area. Highly recommend for a relaxing family getaway.

We very much enjoyed our time at the Teapot Cottage. The cottage was clean, modern and well decorated, and very close to the stunning Ennerdale Lake. We were impressed by the welcome basket, which was full of local cakes and breads! Though we didn’t use the pizza oven or barbecue, we did brave the hot tub (in December!) and it was well worth it. The cottage had everything we needed, and had a real cosy feel that was perfect for a Christmas break. We did have some issues with noise coming from the rental next door, however this was just bad luck. Lamissa was also very responsive and proactive, and did everything she could to address this. Overall, the Teapot Cottage is the perfect place if you are looking for a relaxing break (with a little bit of luxury!). We would definitely come back.

This was stunning, the cottage looks exactly like the photos. Immaculate and finished to a really high standard. Kitchen facilities were excellent. Wood burner was perfect as it was cold during our stay. Great location for local walks, restaurants and supermarket. Great meal at the local pub. Hot tub was a delight after some long walks in the hills. Couldn't fault it, Catherine was a fantastic host!

Lovely unique place to stay. Nice and quiet but close to local towns and plenty to do in the surrounding area. Accommodation had all that we needed to settle for a few days of relaxation.

We couldn’t have asked for more from a host. Tina was incredibly thoughtful and very responsive throughout. Her communication was helpful and clear. Tina’s place was both comfortable and clean, providing an ideal set up and location for our family getaway. We were impressed with Tina’s consideration of the needs of our mixed group and the provision of essentials and equipment at the property. Thank you Tina - what a wonderful host, you really had thought of every detail!
