House vacation rentals in Downtown Halifax

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, spacious lakefront home! The lake was perfect for swimming, and we spent hours each day enjoying the water. The well-appointed kitchen made it easy to cook meals for our group of 9, and the location was ideal—just 10 minutes from grocery stores. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We are so grateful to Katelyn & Lee for helping us pull off a magical experience for our family (17 total) who spent 6 days at this gorgeous property. The Anchorage House has plenty of space to gather & lots of nooks for small groups or privacy. There are amble bathrooms, which is essential for a big group. The hot tub was delightful-hosts even stopped by to freshen it mid-stay. They recommended a local caterer, the Savary Plate, who provided incredible meals, but the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking for a large group (which we did one night) and even has a commercial dishwasher! The location is perfect-we made day trips to Lunenburg, Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and Digby for whale watching—not to mention local beaches minutes away. But we were just as enchanted sitting on the porch or down on the dock (evening kayaking). If characters were unlimited, I could go on and on about this wonderful property, but I also must mention the thoughtfulness of our hosts who felt like friends.

WFP &J.P were amazing. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an extra unexpected. Gustave will be very bored of Maple. Small review THAT IS NOT A REVIEW. The fridge isn't very big so don't do too big a grocery every time. We arrived with too many things and didn't get in. But again, it's no big deal. There's a grocery store nearby. Sounds good. Just don't have to plan too far in advance if you have a big family like mine. The pool is extraordinary!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches . We had a great time with the family!!!

Helen’s place was exactly as pictured plus many more lovely additions in terms of available supplies and even food items! Helen emphasized how everything in the apartment was for myself and guest to use, making us feel right at home and very welcomed. Parking is easy and steps from the main entrance of the unit. This is a very spacious place with comfy beds while also being only a short distance from the bustle of downtown Halifax!

It's exactly what we expected based on pics and reviews. We traveled during winter so many ammenities were not available, but price was adjusted to reflect that. Gorgeous design, textures, and attention to detail. Felt a lot like home to us. The driveway is steep, but doable. The only notes I have.....a garment rack in the master bedroom would have been helpful as most closet doors are locked. Looking forward to coming back in the summer!

We frequently travel as a large group and are used to splitting up due to our size, so finding a place that can accommodate all of us is a challenge. Melanie and Thomas went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and we couldn’t be more grateful. With 17 of us staying under one roof, you’d never guess there were so many—it was that spacious! The house is clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need, from kitchen essentials to speakers and pool toys. Melanie and Thomas are truly the most kind and welcoming hosts we’ve ever encountered. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate—just book it! Next time, we’re definitely staying for at least three nights because we weren’t ready to leave!

We stayed with as a family of 4 for two nights - our 2 little girls loved the comfiness and coziness of Kelly's place - full of fluffy pillows, blankets, and lots of little places to snuggle in. There was a nice big kitchen to cook in, and the hot tub and pool were awesome. We would stay here again :)

This was a really stress free stay, Matthew went out of his way to make it feel like home, and was always helpful. Even brought a stroller for my toddler to play with. He was helpful and gave suggestions of things to do around town. The house was beautiful and extremely clean. I would definitely stay there again when I travel to Halifax again.

Ashley is a warm and welcoming host and the space reflects that! Very comfortable with everything you need to cook, relax, and rest. It matched the description to a tee and then some! It is immaculate without being stuffy, the beds are so comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and the unit is blissfully quiet at night. The neighborhood is terrific and Ashley provides parking that is safe and convenient to the entry. The location is central to both downtown and the Dalhousie/King’s College campus. We walked to both multiple times. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you Ashley!

We stayed at Anni's place for just over 2 weeks waiting for our home we purchased to close. Anni and her husband were amazing hosts. Very accommodating and responded to messages right away. Space was very clean and a nice open concept living room, dining room and kitchen area. Loved having the wood stove going in the evening while relaxing in the living room. Would highly recommend for a short or extended stay.

Abdul is a great host, very responsive and accommodating during our stay. This home is beautifully designed and surpassed our expectations. From entering, we enjoyed Abdul’s elegant style, clean and comfy space. 5 stars 🌟. Will book again when back in town!

We had a great stay. This location is fantastic and has a lot of space for a group. Everything is walkable, but also easy to drive to and from this spot.

Ken’s place is even better than described! Very clean, very spacious for a couple! This location was an awesome choice for us, as we were in the area for the weekend! We don’t need to be in the downtown core of Halifax. Ken was very courteous and responsive with all communication.

A decent overall. Priced well and is as advertised. Had a problem figuring out the TV but Yosra sorted it out for us immediately. The location is convenient and has parking.

I can never say enough about Geordie’s place! This was our second year here and when walking back through the doors it just felt like walking into “home”. The kids call Geordie’s place our “East Coast Home” and I couldn’t agree more! Always clean, great layout, comfortable and inviting. Close to the highway to get anywhere you need and all amenities within a short drive! Quite area with very little traffic. We absolutely loved our trip once again this summer ! Thanks Geordie! We’ll be back! :)

We loved Tracey & Aahil’s home. The house is well appointed and clean. Quiet neighborhood and everything was within accessible distance. We had a good time visiting family here and catching up. Will book again if we come back.

We spent a fantastic weekend here! The place is absolutely stunning, and the hot tub and sauna were certainly a highlight! highly recommend the short walk to see a sunrise by the ocean. Randy was very responsive and friendly, would certainly stay again.
