House vacation rentals in Downtown Halifax

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, spacious lakefront home! The lake was perfect for swimming, and we spent hours each day enjoying the water. The well-appointed kitchen made it easy to cook meals for our group of 9, and the location was ideal—just 10 minutes from grocery stores. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We are so grateful to Katelyn & Lee for helping us pull off a magical experience for our family (17 total) who spent 6 days at this gorgeous property. The Anchorage House has plenty of space to gather & lots of nooks for small groups or privacy. There are amble bathrooms, which is essential for a big group. The hot tub was delightful-hosts even stopped by to freshen it mid-stay. They recommended a local caterer, the Savary Plate, who provided incredible meals, but the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking for a large group (which we did one night) and even has a commercial dishwasher! The location is perfect-we made day trips to Lunenburg, Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and Digby for whale watching—not to mention local beaches minutes away. But we were just as enchanted sitting on the porch or down on the dock (evening kayaking). If characters were unlimited, I could go on and on about this wonderful property, but I also must mention the thoughtfulness of our hosts who felt like friends.

WFP &J.P were amazing. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an extra unexpected. Gustave will be very bored of Maple. Small review THAT IS NOT A REVIEW. The fridge isn't very big so don't do too big a grocery every time. We arrived with too many things and didn't get in. But again, it's no big deal. There's a grocery store nearby. Sounds good. Just don't have to plan too far in advance if you have a big family like mine. The pool is extraordinary!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches . We had a great time with the family!!!

Great private place to stay in Lawrencetown. Close enough to the city to visit but excluded and private with ocean front. Would stay here again if in the area!

Helen’s was a great host. Her air bnb was beautiful and cozy. We enjoyed our stay in Halifax. The home is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood and it was easy to access shopping, dinning and site seeing in down town Halifax. We will definitely stay here again! Nothing but 5 🌟.

I think that if we were to rent again we would stay in the summer.there was more to offer for summer fun. Mabe a hot tub would be a sajestion but overall it us a beautiful place and i would recommend

I would definitely 💯 recommend this beautiful property and his owner Justin!! Fully equipped kitchen for cooking! Bbq outside as well as a fantastic 6 man hot tub which we throughly used and enjoyed. Fire pit was an added bonus. One of the absolute best air bnbs we’ve stayed at and we travel extensively for work all across Canada. Cheers

I can't say enough about the house. Better than we expected. Lovely bed linens, great pillows, fluffy towels. kitchen equipped with basic needs. Location was great and having a parking spot was awesome. Matthew was a fab host and very responsive. We are moving home to NS in the next while and will be here more often so plan to stay with Matthew again.

We had such a wonderful time at Anni’s. She made us feel so welcome and even left out some snacks and drinks which was a great touch. We communicated throughout the trip for various reasons and she was always extremely accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay here again

Great, quiet and very well located place. Highly recommended.

Great space. A little smelly/stuffy when I first got in but they provided an air wick which helped. You can hear footsteps upstairs but they are quiet and the place feels about as private as a basement suite without private access can feel. Hosts were great and very helpful. I'd stay again. Not much to do in the area and no restaurants/cafes nearby so make sure you have a means of transportation!

We had a great stay. This location is fantastic and has a lot of space for a group. Everything is walkable, but also easy to drive to and from this spot.

The accommodation was value for money. Very warm and comfortable. It was clean and well maintained. Would recommend whole heartedly.

Ken’s place is even better than described! Very clean, very spacious for a couple! This location was an awesome choice for us, as we were in the area for the weekend! We don’t need to be in the downtown core of Halifax. Ken was very courteous and responsive with all communication.

I can never say enough about Geordie’s place! This was our second year here and when walking back through the doors it just felt like walking into “home”. The kids call Geordie’s place our “East Coast Home” and I couldn’t agree more! Always clean, great layout, comfortable and inviting. Close to the highway to get anywhere you need and all amenities within a short drive! Quite area with very little traffic. We absolutely loved our trip once again this summer ! Thanks Geordie! We’ll be back! :)

My family had a wonderful stay at Francois' Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The home is beautifully decorated—tasteful, fresh, and uncluttered, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Francois was the perfect host, always available but never intrusive. He made sure we had everything we needed and offered helpful suggestions for local spots. His attention to the small details, from the comfortable bedding to the well-stocked kitchen, really set this place apart. We really loved the white lights in the trees at night while enjoying the hot-tub! Our host was very accommodating when it came to scent sensitivities for myself and our infant which really meant the world to us. If you're looking for comfortable, and hassle-free stay with a host who goes above and beyond, we highly recommend this Airbnb. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We loved Tracey & Aahil’s home. The house is well appointed and clean. Quiet neighborhood and everything was within accessible distance. We had a good time visiting family here and catching up. Will book again if we come back.

Nice, peaceful and beautiful unit. Xiuyan was very responsive. We had asked for an early check-in for which Xiuyan was accommodative. I had to extend my stay for a day for which Xiuyan was also accommodative.
