Waterfront vacation rentals in Dorset

Great flat. Very clean and welcoming. Close to local restaurants and lovely walks along the quay. Bonus was a secure place to leave our bikes!

Lovely apartment in a lovely location. You step right out in to the sea front. Very clean and tidy with great amenities. Shower was lovely and the toiletries are a lovely touch. We would definitely stay here again. Niki was very responsive and very friendly.

west bay is lovely, and this little flat is right in the middle. it has everything you need.

The Bay House apartment was a great place for a short break. The place was clean, bright and airy with amazing views. It was lovely to sit and watch the boats and fishermen in the harbour. The bed was extremely comfortable with pristine linens. The bathroom was stocked with shower gels and shampoos. Westbay itself is a delightful little harbour town with plenty to see and do on a sunny day. Kiosks line the harbour selling ice creams, fish and chips etc. All in all I would recommend the apartment and the location.

Sebastian is a great host with a uniquely delightful home. His art work made the accommodation more personal and he was generous in his insistence that we should use any basic cupboard items when catering for ourselves. It was clearly an apartment that he also uses and it felt homely as a result. Decor was superb and views wonderful.

It's a good location. There's lots going on nearby but the flat is quiet. The interior is well designed, making really good use of the space. The sofa bed is unlike any other sofa bed I have slept on: it's very comfortable (and the instructions for turning the sofa into a bed were easy to follow). The flat was clean and everything in the flat was in good condition. Emily responded speedily and positively when I contacted her and always answered my question/sorted out my problem. A great place to stay!

Our second stay at this flat which was just as perfect as our first visit. The flat is spotless and has everything that you might need for your holiday. We especially loved the shower and the bed is extremely comfortable. A bottle of wine, some lovely local biscuits and some milk were waiting for us on arrival and were very much appreciated - thank you. We are already looking forward to our next stay in July.

We had a great stay at Ruth's place. Everything was as described and the flat was just as good as all the previous reviews have stated. The flat is very near to two pubs - the Spyglass and Kettle and the Commodore. The Spyglass has lovely seating outside and the Commodore has a very good menu. We had some great days out and were able to get the number 70 bus outside the apartment to some of them. Firstly, Hengistbury Head which only takes about 15 mins on the bus. There is a cafe there and another one on the other side where all the posh beach huts are. You can also pick up the same bus there to go to Christchurch which is only about another 10 minutes in the same direction. We also got the same bus into Bournemouth. Other recommendations are: Compton Acres which is a beautiful garden, set in woodland and Harry's Rocks which involves a pleasant one mile walk from Studland Car Park. My daughter, 2 grandchildren and myself had a fantastic few days at this lovely place. Just like home from home. Walking distance to shops, restaurants etc and beach so near. So nice in top room to have velux windows open at night and hear the sound of the waves. Loved that the garden was secure for 2 year old to run around. Damian answered any questions we had promptly. Hot tub was amazing to come home to after a long day out. High chair and travel cot provided and the games/toys are a bonus. Everything was just perfect and we will definitely be returning. 5 ⭐️

Very nicely decorated, not just generic. It's very handy for visiting family on the same street & very close to the town & beach. Very well equipped & comfortable.

Travelling as a family of four and one dog. We loved our stay at North Mill. Great location with lots to pubs and restaurants a short walk into Wareham old town. Sally was super friendly and welcoming. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for a stay on Wareham and to enjoy the beautiful Dorset coast.

A gem of an escape, the most beautiful, peaceful location. Stunning pebble beach, gorgeous scenery, excellent walking routes on the coastal path to Seatown, Golden Cap, West Bay and beyond. No light pollution so stargazing on a clear night was perfect. The Ark is immaculately clean with a modern, comfortable interior containing everything you could wish for during your stay. Lovely outside decking area with picnic table together with sun loungers and deckchairs which was well used by us as we were blessed with warm, sunny weather. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending to friends (even though I’d really like to keep it a secret!).

This accommodation was excellent with fantastic views over the river. It was peaceful and clearly lived up to and exceeded our expectations particularly with the views and environment. The house is lovely, well equipped and ideally situated with a pleasant 15 minute walk along the river to Wareham where there are plenty of eateries and a local Sainsbury for all your essentials. Beverley and Guy were excellent hosts with quick responses, advice and adaptability for checking in. A great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings would certainly come again.

Amazing house in Dorset. One of the best views we've ever had in an airbnb. The house was furnished well and had everything we needed for our two children. Would highly recommend.

We were a group of 12, and every one of us agreed this is the best holiday house we've ever stayed in. We loved the location, right by the beach and a short walk into town, but at the end of a cul-de-sac, so quiet and safe. We loved all the many books and musical instruments in the house - we felt very at home! We loved the beautiful sea views from 3 bedrooms, and the comfy beds, and the well-equipped kitchen. Our children loved the wide range of toys and the games console. The host made us feel very welcome. We felt it was very good value for money, and we would really like to come back and stay here again.

We missed the turning to King St 1st time around … it seemed very narrow😳 but was do-able! Glad I wasn’t the one parking but again, it was do-able! Warm and cosy space greeted us, a delightful lounge upstairs, nice view from the terrace with Prosecco in hand, thank you April! Everything needed was there and April’s Cottage was in a good spot from which to get around the island which has much to see.

We had a fantastic stay! overlooking the harbour and lots of places to eat. Great walks and perfect being next to the sea. Thankyou for sharing your place with us.

Would highly recommend. Flat is luxurious and comfortable - wonderful place to sit and read with the most amazing view out over the harbour. Immaculately clean with everything you could possibly need.

Totally the place to go for a chilled three days ! We were sad to have to leave !! Stunning location for 180 deg beach views and sunsets Appartment everything you could want,modern, exceptionally clean in all areas - beautifully decorated bathrooms ,very well equipped which was lovely. Tara very responsive with messages which made communication so easy. Relaxing walks along sea front on your doorstep and funky beach bar ' Sobo' below appartment ,fab for chilling ,food and drinks during the day. This was our second visit to Carolyn's apartment in West Bay. We also visited out of season last time - West Bay has a lovely out of summer season vibe! There were plenty of shops and restaurants still open. We did have a dramatic storm for one day, but mostly the weather was dry, sunny and bracing! The apartment is in a great location, and is beautifully maintained - very clean and welcoming. Carolyn is a wonderful host - excellent communication and very useful information from entry details to local amenities.
