Lake house vacation rentals in Door County

we very much enjoyed our stay at rachel’s. it was so nice to be right on the water, look at and listen to the waves, and watch the birds fishing. the house was very comfortable—more than enough room for the two of us. we liked having a fire in the fireplace and in the outdoor pit. and we saw some excellent fossils in the big rocks on the beach! rachel and shelly are exceedingly responsive to any questions or queries. if you ever have an issue, they will do their best to resolve it. we would happily stay at this house again!

This was an amazing location and beautiful home. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond. We had to cut our time short due to family emergency and left a whole suitcase behind and they shipped it back to us. Will definitely be back.

This place was delightful , very comfortable, beautiful surroundings, right on Lake Michigan with all the comforts of home. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Bathrooms very clean. Plenty of space and room. Overall it was very clean and tidy too. The location is close to towns and places for whatever you want to do such as shopping or getting into a nature park and trail. I was there in the fall and the colors were fantastic but this is a great place for any season.

Excellent stay and time spent with family. This served our purposes. The house had many extras including the use of a grill, a fully stocked kitchen, extra t-p & paper towels and clean bedding and towels. We enjoyed the view (on the non-foggy days), and wished that it wasn’t winter, so that we could have gone out on the canoes/kayaks. Luke and Giza’s place is a great location, and nice and comfy. We felt right at home and if the opportunity arose we’d stay here again!

Our family vacation was absolutely what we wanted on Washington Island, and especially at Essa's home! We wanted a quiet, relaxing place, and we definitely got that. We seriously felt like we were on a secluded island....didn't see one person until we drove to the other side of the island! If you are looking for a place to get away from the everyday hustle of life, Essa's place is where it's at. We got up in the mornings and had coffee and read on the 4 season's porch, sat on the beach, played games, watched movies, and had bonfires in the evening. The only bad thing....the week went to quickly!!!!

What a beautiful place and location. It was perfect for our trip. Easy ride into Green Bay to watch the game and such a quiet area. The Lake was great to look at through the glass doors. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and will book again!

Great place for us to stay while we enjoyed the region

The house was easy to find and check in was seamless. Easy and secure. Everything was as we expected. A bit of confusion over 1 bedroom since there are photos of the same bedroom with different bedding so we thought there was 1 more room than there was but we had all the beds we needed for our people. Everyone slept well; beds were comfortable, couches too! Lots of bathrooms, which was nice with a bunch of girls in the house. Interesting circle layout of the house which made us chuckle a couple of times. Great views from the house and backyard. We want to come back when it's not October and use the water and water sport equipment. Parking was great; we were super close to our event which was nice. Travis and Sara were super responsive. Any issue or question we had, they responded almost immediately. Everything worked besides the fireplace which they knew about and was not a make or break. Definitely went above and beyond for us as hosts. We would 100% rent from them again!

The house is beautiful. The host was fantastic. Beautiful surroundings. It was great to sit out on the deck that over looked the river.

Nautical Nook was a lovely spot to set up home base while we explored the rest of Door County. We felt safe, comfortable, and very much at home. Would highly recommend staying here for your Door County vacation.

This was a beautiful place to stay! Loved the big windows overlooking the lake. Comfortable, clean, plenty of room. After being out and about during the day, looked forward to sitting around the fireplace when we got home. We didn’t want to leave and would definitely try to stay again in the future.

Kitchen had everything we needed to make a proper Thanksgiving meal! Appreciate everything and have zero complaints.

We absolutely loved staying here! It was very cozy and had everything you would possibly need and the hot tub was a highlight! Thoroughly enjoyed it during the winter and we will be back for the summer to enjoy the beach! Austin was extremely communicative and helped with whatever we needed! Definitely a must stay!

Perfect experience from the moment we made reservation through checkout! Marissa was so helpful with local recommendations and clear instructions. Very comfortable for the sisters and daughters’ weekend (6 of us). Neighborhood was very quiet and easily accessible to all Door County has to offer. Numerous amenities including well supplied kitchen, laundry detergent, Kleenex, towels, blankets, games and one of the best: phone chargers in every room! The girls hope to visit Door County again and stay at Marissa’s. Thanks for your part in making the memories!

Great home on Sand Bay. We went during the winter to go ice fishing. Plenty of room for all of our group, ample parking. Close to Sturgeon Bay for restaurants and bars. Great value.

Kevin and Christie were great hosts. We really enjoyed the location and being able to watch the tugs go through the channel. House had everything we needed for a quiet family getaway. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Our stay was so enjoyable. The space accommodated our family of 5 (three kids under 6) well. It was so fun to explore the area and we loved playing on the waterfront. The amenities were top notch and convenient. We cooked quite a few meals in the kitchen, played in the yard, relaxed in the living room after exploring. We are excited to come back!

Very cute stay in Sturgeon Bay, our 12 year old loved fishing off the dock at every opportunity. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch overlooking the canal. It’s out of the way of the busiest tourist stuff so it was pleasantly quiet, but still within easy driving to attractions and other little towns on the peninsula. Shaun was a great host and had cookies from a local bakery waiting for us at check in! Would happily stay here again.

We held our family reunion at Bauer’s Lodge with adults and grand children ages 2-19. Everyone had an absolutely fantastic time! The location was wonderful and the private beach was a dream come true! It had something for everyone! The little kids waded in the shallow sandy water, the teenagers kayaked and paddle boarded, and one of us did his swim training for an upcoming triathlon. Kangaroo Lake was truly beautiful, safe, and not crowded, and the views were spectacular! The hosts thought of everything we needed to make our stay incredible! We would definitely love to return!

Marion has a beautiful home with all the amenities... a beautiful area, right on an absolutely gorgeous stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline...if you need some r&r, this is it! ...Marion is a great host and she takes care of all the details....all you need to do is just show up....you'll be glad you did....Highly recommended!!!!

Comfortable area to relax at night with my family with plenty of room and nice furniture. Great sleeping spaces and good size bedrooms. Big yard that was designed well for games and outside play, these were also available. We were out adventuring during the day but enjoyed coming home to relax and enjoy the evening.

This is a beautiful and spacious lakeside cabin about 20 minutes from Sister Bay (with tons of restaurants and shopping) as well as Newport Park and Lake Michigan. It sits on an inland lake that is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. We enjoyed stargazing from the dock as well as coffee on the screened in porch. Beds and furniture were comfy. It was a great place for our family vacation. Jeff is a great host - proactive and responsive. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving stay at this beachfront home. The place was cozy and well-equipped, and the lake views made it memorable. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the holiday!
