Springfield Barn

AbiRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This barn is very deceiving, it look tiny on the outside and so big on the inside. Absolutely lovely little place, with a real old cottage feel to it. The place was in pristine condition and had everything we needed there and more. The Barn is very private with nothing but beautiful fields around which was perfect for our getaway. Jay our host was great in checking in with us through messaging to see if we checked in ok etc and very responsive to my messages. Overall all we are very happy and would definitely stay again. Thank you Jay for having us 😊

Lakeview Lodge - Shortheath Water

HannahRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Lovely lodge, even more spacious than the photos show! Very clean and plenty of amenities for cooking etc. The lake was peacful and very centrally located for things to do in the area such as bike rides, Conkers, furnace museum etc. A good Coop a few mins walk away and bigger supermarkets a short drive. The bistro on site, run by Joanne did the most amazing brunches and HUGE slabs of homemade cake. I wish we had discovered this before our last day! Highly recommend a meal by the lake side. They do beer and wine too but its only open until 4pm so make the most of it during your stay!

Immaculate Studio - Heart of the Peak District.

ClareRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Wendy and Simon were brilliant hosts from the outset. They helpfully contacted me in advance of my stay, giving me lots of details about the property, the village and the wider local area. This was the perfect base to explore the peak district. It was lovely to come back to a cosy apartment, with a pretty view after a long day walking. Wendy and Simon also had some great suggestions for walks and scenic views in the area. I would recommend a stay here to anyone! I can't wait to come back in the warmer weather.

Down The Rabbit Hole.

Louise-MarieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Highly recommend staying Down the Rabbit Hole for a cosy and relaxing retreat. The place is full of quirks, very warm, even though it was cold outside the stove burner provides ample heat. Really helpful host to answer any questions you might have. Give it a go!!

Delightful 1-bed shepherd's hut with log burner

MeganRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Laura's place, its a beautiful hut in a quiet and stunning location. The place was well equipped and cosy, we were also welcomed with prosecco on our first night which was a lovely touch! There's lots of walks around and a local pub which we drove to for tea. On top of that Laura was very accommodating and helped us in changing our dates from before Christmas to after the new year, which we really appreciated!

Delightful 1 bedroom annexe with own patio

KeithRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A super little getaway bolthole. Spotlessly clean and easy instructions for check in from Alison. A super quiet location, with a great pub and great community shop within a couple of minutes walk. A torch is provided, which is definitely needed if you amble out after dark. SO quiet and a peaceful village. Plenty of walking routes nearby (check out the OS app). Unfortunately we had to leave early, due to illness, but Alison was very understanding and helpful. We are aiming to return another time as this is such a great location in the Peak District national park, about 20 minutes from Chatsworth House, and between Buxton and Bakewell. Thank you Alison, (and Neil) for your understanding and perfect hosting, the welcome hamper was great too. Superb and cannot recommend highly enough.

Sunrise Garden

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Marcin and Joanna have a beautiful space inside and out. Marcin was the one that helped us check in giving us clear instructions, how and where to park, how to get in and how to work things. I wanted to be sure how to open the hottub safely i couldnt figure it out at first but he was round quickly to give me a demonstration, then took the time to show me how to use the projector, and other ammenities. We were completely left alone which is key in these places, it was so private. The biggest attraction for me is the fact you can use the hottub as often as you like, many places are putting charges or restrictions but these havent. Everything was spotless and done to a great spec, you can see Marcin is proud of his work as he should be. He didnt even mind that i decorated the room for my partner to pop the question its that much of a lovely place. We want to be back for sure. Its a little gem.

Cottage in central Matlock

WendyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We stayed here for family wedding and knew the area well. From the initial booking to the checkout, our stay at The Watchmakers was just excellent! Mandy is a fantastic host and the cottage was just pristine. Extremely close to many local favourites and a lovely stroll over to the park. The cottage was well equipped for the two of us and was cosy and comfortable. Nothing was a bother to Mandy and even catered for our ‘coffee’ requests! (Very much appreciated). All in, we would heartily recommend a stay at the Watchmakers! Many, many thanks ☺️

Peak District Hideout, Stunning Eco Cabin

LucyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Charlottes Peak District hideaway is the perfect off grid escape for a peaceful few days away! The pictures don’t do it justice. Our dog loved it too! Charlotte was super responsive and gave great local recommendations. We ordered a hamper which was there for our arrival and a lovely touch! We also went to the Ashford Arms pub which Charlotte recommended and now I do too! Would absolutely come back

Woodlands Shepherd Hut offGrid & Woodfired hot tub

ChelseaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Stayed for 2 nights with my partner. It was lovely and quiet and plenty of room for both our cars. We especially loved the dressing gowns and more little amenities provided to make our stay even more cosy. The hot tub is incredible just takes a little while to warm up but we loved being in there for ours staring at the stars. Only thing I would say is it gets quite cold in the mornings cause the fire has gone out but that’s not a fault it’s just that you may have to keep an eye on the fire through the night. Thank you

Very rural location down steep country lanes (beware in snow!) but easy to find thanks to the detailed instructions given. Beautiful views and very peaceful. The hut was lovely and warm and cosy and perfect for the two of us and the dog for a weekend break. Ideal location for those wanting to walk dragons back too. Thanks for having us!

A lovely find on Air BnB, initially was hesitant due to the style of the stay and living in the city but if you enjoy wholesome get aways, peaceful nights and love to star gaze along with stoking a log burner to keep you warm this is it! Has everything you need and with Bakewell being only a 7 minute drive away! Love our stay, was perfect would recommend and stay again!

Bertie's Retreat, Shepherds Hut

DaniellaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We only stayed at Berties retreat for one night but it was just what we were hoping for. Super cute hut with everything we needed, the location was very private with a nice woodland view. Penny was a brilliant host, she was there within minutes when we needed help. The local pub was perfect for an evening meal and within walking distance of the place. Would definitely stay here again when out hiking in the Peak district.
