Springfield Barn

AbiRating, 5 stars10 months ago
This barn is very deceiving, it look tiny on the outside and so big on the inside. Absolutely lovely little place, with a real old cottage feel to it. The place was in pristine condition and had everything we needed there and more. The Barn is very private with nothing but beautiful fields around which was perfect for our getaway. Jay our host was great in checking in with us through messaging to see if we checked in ok etc and very responsive to my messages. Overall all we are very happy and would definitely stay again. Thank you Jay for having us 😊

Lakeview Lodge - Shortheath Water

HannahRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Lovely lodge, even more spacious than the photos show! Very clean and plenty of amenities for cooking etc. The lake was peacful and very centrally located for things to do in the area such as bike rides, Conkers, furnace museum etc. A good Coop a few mins walk away and bigger supermarkets a short drive. The bistro on site, run by Joanne did the most amazing brunches and HUGE slabs of homemade cake. I wish we had discovered this before our last day! Highly recommend a meal by the lake side. They do beer and wine too but its only open until 4pm so make the most of it during your stay!

Delightful 1-bed shepherd's hut with log burner

AmeliaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a truly wonderful stay at the Shepherd's Hut! It was exactly as shown in the photos - spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully cared for. The location was ideal for us, we visited Matlock, Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Buxton. We also enjoyed a gorgeous sunny walk at Miller’s Dale, which was super close, before returning to the hut for a sunset cheeseboard and a relaxing evening by the log fire. It was the refreshing escape we were hoping for. Everything was so well organised that we didn’t need to contact Laura at all, it all felt completely seamless. I felt right at home and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended!

DavidRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Stayed here for one night 21st March . Excellent little place , exactly as described, no WiFi wasn't a problem there is good enough mobile data to do everything we needed on our smartphones including Spotify so advise you bring a Bluetooth speaker if that's your thing. Hut was clean , warm , cosy , comfy bed , good bathroom and had everything that was needed . Definitely recommend and would love to stay again another time . Thank you Shannon.

The Cosy Stable -Peak District National Park

EmmaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Excellent find at The cosy cottage 🙂 Beautiful, peaceful and a piece of quiet countryside. Annette was very helpful prior to arrival with a great list of places to visit along with restaurants. Made planning our days a lot easier 😊 (Thors cave and Bakewell were a great experience) Although we arrived late for check in Annette still popped out to say hi and had the cottage ready and warm for us. Our pooch loved the setting and was basking in the garden quite content with life! Thank you Annette… We will book in again later in the year for another break.

Delightful shepherds hut with amazing views.

LeanneRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Absolutely lovely place to stay. Peaceful and amazing views! Sharron was a pleasure to deal with very communicative and a very warm welcome. The hut is very private and has its own shower and toilet separate from the other campers. We could have stayed there longer! Our only recommendation would be to have an outside bath outside the hut to enjoy the views but I don’t think I would have ever left then! 😂 amazing place highly recommended! The whole site is immaculate and a credit to Sharron.

Delightful 1 bedroom annexe with own patio

PaulRating, 5 stars3 days ago
thoroughly enjoyed my long weekend at this wonderful cottage. A great central location for touring the Peak District and wider area. the accommodation was absolutely first rate with everything you needed plus a few things you didn't know you needed! I was motorcycle touring around the area and it was great to get out early then get back mid afternoon and take advantage of the seated area with a beer and a book. Litton is a lovely village with a good pub and a pretty handy village store cum cafe. The hosts are absolutely spot on! very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed it so much I've already booked again for September..... that's the best recommendation you can give.

Woodlands Shepherd Hut offGrid & Woodfired hot tub

LeilaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The place is so cute and cosy, everything was perfect! Nicola was very patient considering we got lost on the way and she stayed on the line until we found the place (our fault for not being great with directions even though she sent us very clear instructions beforehand! haha). I would definitely recommend will probably stay there again in future! Thanks Nicola!

Rural Retreat In Peak District National Park Hills

EleanorRating, 5 stars4 days ago
My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in April and it was the perfect weekend getaway. The hut is so cute and has everything you could need. It was warm, clean and so cozy. The views are spectacular and we had some adorable tiny lambs in the field opposite us. Great outdoor space, we loved sitting outside round the fire pit and enjoying the views with a drink. The place is perfectly located for great walks. We recommend the dragons back trail. The host was fantastic, very responsive, answered all my questions and let us check in early. I would thoroughly recommend the whole experience!

Booth Farm Hut

AnnaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Stayed with my dogs who absolutely loved the area and the open fields! We had an amazing time! I read a lot about the space being small but actually although it was on the smaller side we were absolutely fine with our dogs and the two of us! The heater was amazing and the lodge was sometimes too hot but a fan was provided! Which was amazing. The hosts were responsive when needed! We had everything we needed to have a lovely week away! I would definitely recommend this to anyone! The views and walks nearby were amazing! Will be back!

The New House Hut - Mercaston

DouglasRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The perfect couples cosy getaway! Can not thank our hosts enough. Very welcoming and easy to contact if needed. Accommodation is very comfortable and cosy, lovely personal touches. Beautiful surroundings and we very much enjoyed a morning coffee watching the local wildlife go about their day and a little stargazing on the clearer evening where you can see constellations you’d never see in more urban areas. Thank you for a lovely, peaceful break. We will definitely be back. Close by to Ashbourne and Carsington Water for trips out and also highly recommend The Bluebell, Kirk Langley for their amazing pizzas and loaded fries!

Shepherds Hut on our farm, close to Alton Towers

LucyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic stay in the Shepard’s hut. It had absolutely everything we needed. We were given fresh eggs and milk on arrival. The hot tub was so easy to use and warm when we arrived. The bed is really comfortable, everything is well organised. The location is great for walks and accessing Alton towers. There are plenty of lovely pubs close by and there’s lots of information in the Shepard’s hut about local places. We will definitely be staying again. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
