Fantastic stay with wonderful hosts. Such a special place very cozy!

This was the perfect getaway! The house was so clean and felt like home. The hot tub was perfect for the cold nights after fossil hunting. You can see the beach and water from the back screened deck in the winter and the sunsets are beautiful. Lots of beaches near by to find shark teeth as well. Also there are lots of board games to play. Would definitely book again!

We had a wonderful winter stay at the Octopus Cottage w/ our pup! Donna was an excellent host and the space was so beautiful, clean, cozy and welcoming. We enjoyed game nights, cooking, movies, and walked the beach (the horseshoe crabs were so cool!!)! The hot tub was a definite highlight during the chilly evenings. The Octopus theme so so thoughtfully executed. We really loved it and hope to come back in the summer!

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

We stayed at JoJo's cabin with a small group of friends to celebrate a short birthday weekend. The house was exactly as described, which was a great start. The flexibility with check-in made our arrival stress-free, and I was impressed by how responsive you were to all my messages. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the wonderful hot tub - it was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location couldn't have been better, being so close to the main strip of shops and restaurants, and it was just a quick drive to the downtown beach area. Thank you for providing such a lovely place. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Michele’s cottage was exactly what my partner and I needed after a challenging few days. We arrived to find a thoughtful note and a care package with local goodies. The bed was extremely comfortable, the linens were soft and the house itself was spotless. The yard was fully fenced which allowed for my pup to run around safely. The amenities were spot on and Michele and her husband were incredibly responsive and kind. We had everything we needed and didn’t need to think about anything. We can’t wait to come back soon!

This listing matches the pictures and the description which you don’t always find upon arrival. House was clean and had everything we needed. We didn’t cook a lot because the trip was quick but the kitchen seemed to have everything you would need. The outside space is lovely with the hot tub and the pool looked like it would have been wonderful had we come in the summer. Hosts are very responsive and helpful. Overall we loved our stay.

Good locations, close to downtown Fredericksburg and restaurants. We would stay here again!

A comfortable and cozy cottage in an excellent location. We stayed here in December, so many of the surrounding facilities were closed, but it looks like a vibrant area. It's very close to the beach. The place was clean and well equipped, and Peter was responsive and courteous. The whole family (including two tween kids and two pets) had a good time.

Jenifer was a joy to work with. She was quick to communicate and I cannot imagine a better location that’s is quaint as this gem of a cottage.

My husband, 2 year and I brought our two dogs to this beautiful home. It felt like gone away from home. Highly recommended

We loved the house; cozy, nicely decorated, with many pieces of original art that really added character. The kitchen is well stocked for those who like to cook. The location right on the water was wonderful, and Nancy provided kayaks, which we took advantage of. Our dog was beside himself with so much room to run. Nancy’s daughter and family live next door, and we spent quite a few hours enjoying conversation and local knowledge with them. We would go back again.

The perfect spot for our Winter getaway. A beautiful setting and a well preserved colonial era cabin, perfect for exploring such an historic part of our Country. Quaint local restaurants, friendly people and a country setting handy to the lower tidewater Virginia. The icing on the cake was the fireplace for cozy evenings reading a good book. Cottage has been maintained with care; it is not just clean; it’s meticulously clean. Quiet? it's on a road where a car passes every 20 minutes. Short trips for grocery shopping and coffee? Food Lion 7-8 minutes. Coffee shop 9 minutes at the Four Corners Shopping center. Off street parking? Gravel driveway into property. Security? A security light is on a pole. Laundry room with full size washer & dryer next to 50 gal water tank. 63 hangers in 3 closets, 23 drawers in the rooms. Convenient outlets for recharging iPhones. Tub & shower w/ wand. Sliding opaque glass door glides easily. Bath has outlet & small table with/drawer that keeps toiletries together. 9 extra thick fluffy towels + beach towels, three 28 oz. Shampoos. 16.5 cu ft reefer with cubed/crushed ice in door, 9 cu ft freezer with ice maker, microwave, Keurig pods + drip coffee, condiments, blender, toaster, spatulas, multiple channels and streaming options, books cleaning gear, laundry basket, iron, folding drying rack...

We needed a place to chill and unwind and this was it! Not much to do this time of year but we didn't care. We loved every minute of our time on the island. Everyone was so friendly and we felt right at home. Beautiful sunsets and delicious catered meals. Thank you!!!

This was our second stay at this cozy cottage, and it was just as wonderful as the first! Every detail is thoughtfully considered, from the clean, stylish interiors to the warm ambiance. The indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit (perfect for s’mores under the stars) were highlights, and the bay views from the viewing platform never disappoint. Sue & Mark are incredibly friendly and communicative, always quick to help with anything we needed. We also appreciated the provided firewood and all the little extras that made the space feel so comfortable and welcoming. Thank you for another amazing stay – we can’t wait to return!

My husband and I traveled here for a night away from our children and work responsibilities. We were looking for some place that was private and on the water. This place was both and it did not disappoint! The loft was cozy and spacious and we loved looking out the windows at the water and rain. It was very clean and there were plenty of towels and blankets and other special touches. Janelle communicated with us ahead of time to make sure she was ready for our arrival and she was kind and responsive throughout the process. We also found it easy to get into Easton for dinner at The Stewart, which was a treat, and then return back to the cabin. I would stay here again in a heartbeat -- but hopefully for longer next time.

Charming, clean, and spacious cottage in a beautiful setting. Just far enough off the beaten path to be peaceful, but still close to shops and restaurants. Loved sipping coffee and looking out at private pond and watching the horses off in the distance.
