Good location and well stocked

Wow! Even better in real life. I knew it would be lovely for Christmas, but we were all over the moon happy with every single aspect of the home. My mom loved it so much she wanted to spend the entire winter and summer there. She loved the views and everything about it. We especially felt thankful for the Christmas tree, decorative and lit boughs on the dining windowsill and the electric window candle above the sink. The kitchen is stunning and equipped with everything you'd need. The lighting throughout the home is also perfect. Lamps and dimmers help make everything cozy, warm and beautiful. Furniture is comfortable and beds and pillows are high quality. The bathroom is also stunning, spacious, and stocked with everything you'd need to enjoy your stay. Highly recommend this perfect cozy home away from home. Hosts are also responsive and kind and professional. Thank you!!

A lovely, warm welcoming home with everything you could need for a short or long stay. Zonya and Wade made us feel welcome and cared for when plans I had made for my birthday fell through due to bad weather. Instead we joined them when they invited us to a kitchen party that truly made our trip! Such helpful and kind hosts and the house is filled with history and lots of little touches. We will be back!

We rented both the Bungalow and the Loft at Governor’s Point for our multigenerational family’s visit to the area. The set up was perfect with two couples in the main bungalow and the young family in the loft. The area was quite spacious, and the surroundings were absolutely serene! Both units were extremely well stocked with linens, a full kitchen and extremely comfortable beds. We did grill at home as well as take in local restaurants. We also had a four-month-old in tow and Paul was most accommodating for those needs. We enjoyed our coffee, sitting out in the morning and taking in evening strolls on the beach. The location is perfect as a homebase for several nights to take in day trips to Gros Morne, Corner Brook, the Bay of Islands, and surrounding area. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the peaceful location. Thank you Paul and Alex for being such wonderful hosts and sharing your place with us. We will definitely be back as Governor’s Point is a hidden gem!

Lovely spot! Had everything we needed for a getaway. The location is quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing, the added covering was perfect for the snowy night we had. We look forward to visiting in the summer to enjoy the lake and other amenities the location has to offer!

The property exceeded our expectations and was even better than described in the listing! The property backs on the Humber River, it's beautiful - so relaxing! Peter (our host) went above and beyond…… soon as we arrived, we noticed a beautifully Christmas tree in the family room, which immediately made us feel like we were at home. He thoughtfully left us a variety of treats, making our stay even more special. We would highly recommend this Airbnb! It truly felt like a home away from home! We left with outstanding memories …………looking forward to our next visit! Thank you Peter!

Amanda’s Airbnb was excellent and such a great stay for me and my family. We enjoyed the homes atmosphere and space so much we messaged and asked if we could extend our stay. Amanda was extremely quick on her response and accommodated our request without question or hesitation. A wonderful clean modern home, amazing location for being close to everything you need in deer lake, and most importantly a lovely host to deal with.
