Vacation rentals with a pool in Daratsos

Especially Ourania - Dafni's mother and Malfada (Dafni's dog in the care of Ourania) really made us feel at home. She showed us what Cretan hospitality is, including local food. Coming home in the evening and sometimes staying there during the day was always a pleasure - both under the wonderful mulberry tree in the courtyard and in the beautiful house. There were plenty of excursion destinations - beautiful beaches and good food too. Thanks for the lovely stay!

10 out of 10! This villa was absolutely perfect for our week in Chania! Clean and spacious, plus a very nice pool that’s kept at the perfect temperature for swims at any time of the day. Lia was so lovely and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be staying here when we return.

We were a party of five, my wife and I and 3 30 year olds, our two twins and a son-in-law. We all couldn't say enough good things about this home: the view has to be one of the best on the whole island, relaxing, extremely private and immediately felt right at home. Starting and ending each day with that view, I didn't need anything else, but there is as much to do as you want. For example, just 6 minutes down the hill, you have the great little town of Platka with a few delicious local restaurants, market and a nice sports bar if you want a cocktail...like me. Another 10 minutes down the hill you come to Alymrida, the small coastal city that has nearly a dozen varied restaurants right on the water. 40 minutes away is the charming city of Chania, the jewel of Crete. This home is centrally located, 20+ minutes from the highway to go anywhere you wish to go...but keep in mind your leaving this view behind. I hope you enjoy it half as much as we did.

Alexandra’s place finished off our holiday perfectly. It was better than the photos, with everything you needed. Cristina was great, very friendly and helpful, happy to welcome her to Australia if she comes for a holiday. There are quite a few restaurants around and it is only a short drive into Chania Old town (depending on traffic). The location was great as you could book tours or hire a boat. From this location we went to Balos, winery, olive oil tour and got to know the area. Would definitely stay again or recommend friends to stay. Thanks for making Crete so memorable.

We had a great time staying at Zoi and Jorge's place, Villa Amorada is picture perfect and the surrounds are stunning.

Wonderful House in beautiful surroundings, big garden, great pool, great views. We really felt at home, every kitchen tool an all necessities were there, shelves full of books in english, german an norwegian language. Eivind is a very nice host who answered promptly to all questions and provided valuable recommendations for nearby restaurants and beaches. We had a wonderful time on Crete!

Nice private location as well as within driving distance to local towns (kalyves 5 mins, almyrida 10 mins, Chania old town 25 mins) definitely recommend hiring a car. Located about 30 minutes from the airport but very easy to find! Pool bigger than expected not too deep, the villa was spotless, AC was brilliant, had everything you needed. Uncle was lovely and very helpful if we needed anything! Had lovely visits from the little blind cat

A little gem in the quiet village of Stavros. Ideal for couples who want to relax in a peaceful environment. The beautiful little house is ideally situated, in a quiet neighbourhood and within walking distance from a number of restaurants, supermarkets and the famous Zorba Beach. George has made excellent use of the space in the house, which is modern and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The real wow factor is the outside space. A large private terrace with comfortable furniture, high quality sun loungers and of course our own, private pool. George is very friendly and is always available should you need any assistance with anything. A super host and we highly recommend this lovely house. Fabulous!

The accommodation looked exactly like the pictures, was very clean, and provided many amenities such as a hairdryer, spices, laundry detergent, and spreads like butter and honey. The quiet location just outside the city, a 10-minute drive away and easily accessible by bus, is definitely a plus. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

It was super nice here. We were warmly welcomed and communication went smoothly. The place is as pictured. You're a bit up the mountain, which is super nice because it's much quieter there. The city and the beach are within walking distance. We were very satisfied.

Anastasia’s apartment is really nice, the view is amazing, and the surrounding neighbourhood is peaceful perfect for a peaceful trip.

We had a wonderful time at Claudia and Marco's. The apartment was spacious and perfectly equipped, very private terrace, very quiet and beautiful environment (we were surrounded by olive trees), beautiful sunsets, and the pool was amazing. Claudia and Marco were available for any questions and very kind. We recommend it!!! :)

The apartment was well-equipped and it was located in a small quiet village. When we arrived, there were already basic products in the refrigerator, which was very much appreciated. The apartment was very clean and very well-equipped for a short or long stay. The pool was very clean and we had four chairs reserved for our accommodation. Sandy and pebble beaches are within a reasonable distance of the apartment; there are several to visit in Crete.

It was a special vacation. Pavlos is a great person very helpful in many ways. The apartment exceeded our expectations. Immaculate cleanliness of the house , pool and garden. The area of the apartment is impressive and the furnishings of the apartment. You can say a lot in superlatives. Our daughters were delighted and so were we. We'll definitely be back. The perfect place to explore the western part of the island. Peace and quiet. Private parking is a big advantage. We're so happy. We love this place. The apartment is amazing and very clean, the surrounding is very calm and peaceful. The host is very respectful and very helpful, we had an issue and she was very responsive in fixing the issue immediately without delay. She’s very caring for her quests. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent almost 2 months at the Menelaos and everything was good. The apartment is in a peaceful neighborhood, not far from the center ( ~ 15 minute walking). The place is simple, but it has everything you might need for a longer stay. The outdoor space is very nice, we enjoyed mostly the barbeque as we stayed during the winter, but the pool is definitely worth it during summer time. We both work remotely and never had issues with the internet. For us the place was perfect as you have everything you need at walking distance (gym, weekly farmers market, coffee shops and restaurants, veterinarian etc). Menelaos was available all the time for any question/issue that we had. Definitely recommend the place for longer or shorter stays.

What can I say- such a wonderful place I almost don’t want others to know about it! Sofia was so kind and full of recommendations. Manos from villas4u was very helpful and responsive. We were lucky with the weather in late October and the extra for the heated pool was worth it to be able to use it every day. As a family of six, we had plenty of space to relax and spread out. The various terraces helped us get our dose of vitamin D. The nearest big supermarket is about 15-20 mins away. Same for gorgeous beaches and grey restaurants. We were looking for a private, relaxed time and we got that in spades. We did small trips to Lake Kournas, to the beach, to the monasteries (Chryssopigi is very friendly and we got a great tour!) Sunrise from the top terrace was an addictive way to start my day. What a breathtaking place. The only small things to mention are that the Google map linked from here took us too far. So be aware of that! We would love to visit again soon. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing host and villa. Kosta and his office were brilliant and when we got to the villa we were met by Stella. She could not have done more to make our stay any better; communication was seamless, so many local suggestions, local produce left throughout the stay, the loan of a stoneware pot to use in the pizza oven over tonight to slow cook vegetables, honestly everything and more. The villa is exactly like the photos - stunning. Breath taking location with a view we all miss now we are home. The layout of the villa is excellent; it is beautifully decorated, the outside kitchen area is perfect and much used. The landscaping is wonderful, and the pool is gorgeous. The villa was meticulously cleaned throughout our stay and the pool and garden maintained to the highest standard. We had the most wonderful holiday; thank you so much Stella and your team for everything.

We recommend Villa Elena with our highest endorsement. Sifis is a compassionate host with resourceful info & recs, def reach out to him if you have any Qs; he’s very responsive. Thoughtful/Delicious homemade meal ready on arrival. Kitchen stocked with basic food including many oranges for fresh squeezed OJ everyday & the best olive oil on Earth. Private/Tranquil location with amazing views yet close to beaches, market & bakery. Short walk to point for breathtaking sunset. Visited during low season so pool not used & did not think in advance to pay extra to heat hot tub but indoor fireplace used daily. Inexperienced drivers may have difficulty navigating to home. Rec 4x4 rental car with navigation system but did ok in Fiat Panda with propped up phone on dashboard. Sifis & family are amazing hosts, high quality humans & new friends. Hope to return someday for at least 2 weeks to see more of Crete. Would def stay here again if available. Thank you!

Great week spent just relaxing and had everything we needed. Pool was a great relief to the heat and visiting the local supermarket meant we cooked several times int he bbq and had breakfast looking over the views. Communication was great through out with some good recommendations. Loved that we had a mid week set of new towels / sheets and rubbish removed. It was just what we wanted - relaxed in a lovely location close to amenities . Thank you x

The property is beautiful and location just perfect just a 15mins bus ride to the harbor which is full of nice restaurants and shops etc. The property is a short walk to the beautiful beaches with a few beach bars with nice food and drink and restaurant not far away with very nice food. Great villa with everything you need. It is fairly close to Chania center, about 15/20 minutes by car. The villa was very clean and they even offered us to clean the villa and change towels and bed sheets during our stay. Effie was very welcoming, with some gifts and local products when we arrive and when we left. They were very reactive, and provided with what we needed. For example, they came to give us a baby bed and chair as we did not indicate we were coming with one. The garden is spacious, with some great area to have an aperitif or lunch/dinner: there is a big table in the shadow which is a plus. We strongly recommend and would come back with pleasure.

Absolutely incredible stay at the villa very opulent from the minute the gate opens . So spacious,5 of us stayed for 1 week and the villa was just perfect. Enjoyed a beautiful week at Kedros. Perfect location - walking distance to a few stunning beaches, delicious restaurants just down the road, and 5 mins walk from supermarkets. Easy to get the bus to and from Chania old town. Perfect size and set up for 6 girls - would also be great for 3 couples. Loved the pool - it’s bigger than it looks in pics! And the outdoor space was ideal for relaxing in the sun. Mathios was very responsive and friendly whenever we had questions, and gave us recommendations for food, taxi company etc. Wish we could have stayed longer!!!
